La Colombe Coffee Workshop is a great spot for coffee and pastries, with an easy vibe. The coffee goes down smooth with a nutty after taste, and the pastries are fresh. The location is unbeatable, right by the LA River bike path, providing a lovely view and a perfect stop before or after a ride. There is outdoor seating and a backyard by the little river. Street parking can be tricky, but it is worth it. Expect a wait on the weekends. The service is adequate, and the people are kind and welcoming. For a lactose intolerant person, vegan cheese is available. Be sure to try the strawberry matcha. The coffee has never disappointed, and the free fuzzy water is a plus. It is consistently solid and definitely worth going at least once in a while.
