About Wax Paper Frogtown

Wax Paper Frogtown is a small restaurant known for its delicious artisan sandwiches made with fresh and local ingredients. The menu features options like the Ira Glass with extra cheese and a poppy seed crust, the Terry Gross with white turkey and focaccia bread, and the Steve Julian, which resembles a banh mi with shredded roast pork and miso aioli. Customers often praise the sandwiches for their perfect balance and satisfying portions. The Audie Cornish, a ham sandwich, has been called the best ham sandwich ever. The sandwiches are super fresh, with baked bread and nourishing combinations, but substitutions are not available. During busy times, seating can be limited, especially since it’s a small place, but there is a park nearby to sit in. The staff can be slow when short-staffed, but customers appreciate the heads-up. The restaurant is especially popular for lunchtime and brunch, with many enjoying the hearty and healthy options, even if some find the Steve Julian not quite their favorite. Overall, Wax Paper Frogtown is a great spot for a tasty sandwich, particularly if a quick, satisfying meal is desired.

Not only they have the best employees and kiwi lemonade/cooler, the sandwiches are on Mom n bub's bread, made with love and humanity. Also, if your judgy, a hater and racist( as the soup Nazi would say) NO SAMMY FOR YOU BABY!😎😋😋😉😉
Ahhhhmazing staff and sammies
When I say that these sandwiches are divine, I mean otherworldly delicious. My bf and I grabbed a couple sandwiches, aptly named after NPR journalists, and walked over to the brewery to enjoy them. The Larry Mantle is an Italian style sandwich that is piled high with greens and shaved Parmesan. Yes a bit messy to eat but that’s part of the fun and the flavor was incredible. The Steve Julian had incredibly tender pork and a nice spice to it, a bahn mi inspired sando for sure...read full review
