I got the grilled chicken Banh Mi. It was okay. The chicken was tough. It tasted like it was either over cooked or left out for a long time. The bread was flaky and not too tough. I’ll give the customer service 5.0 🌟 and the Banh Mi 3.0 🌟.“

“I’ve been to LA Sandwich bar for lunch several times and it’s consistantly excellent - big menu, extremely high quality ingredients, and warm and friendly service.

Decided to order catering through them for a party and placed an order for about 60 sandwiches, a mix of regular and vegetarian options.

The sandwiches were a total hit! Our guests raved about them and it was perfect, handheld food to enjoy while talking to friends (we cut them into thirds to make it easy for guests to grab while they were chatting).

Would highly recommend not only for a quick lunch but a great option for a group gathering as well.“

Some of the less ordered dishes can take up to 10 minutes, esp during prime lunch hour when the line is long. Even so, ordering is quick amd the food is good.“

“I stopped by Mike’s Deli in DTLA on my way to Union Station, and I’m glad I did! While the store itself isn’t flashy at all, they do produce some extremely good sandwiches.

The girl working at the counter was very friendly and welcoming. I ordered a Mike’s Deli #1, which is essentially a spicy version of a turkey avocado sandwich. The sandwich was super fresh and bursting with flavor.

Really, every aspect of this sandwich was memorable, and the meat-to-vegetable-to-bread ratio was on point. The bread was very fluffy and nice, too.

It’s an d-school, simple deli that doesn’t stand out cosmetically, but it’s clean, welcoming, and they pump out some top-tier deli sandwiches at reasonable prices.“

My wife just brought me back a Mr. G's (she did it right and got everything on the side that wasn't meat and cheese) and it was still the best Sandwhich I've ever had. It's truly that good. “This place is a hidden gem. The Philly cheesesteak with fries/drink combo is one of my favorite lunches on the westside. Plenty of well seasoned meat & veggies, and the option to add lettuce/tomato/mayo - which I do. And the sandwich is very neatly wrapped in paper and cut in half - making it easy to eat. The crinkle cut fries are always perfectly cooked - with a crisp outside, but still fluffy inside, and then enhanced with seasoning (Lawry’s maybe?). Plus self-serve Coke fountain beverages (a sign says only 1 refill, but they don’t seem to be stingy with this).

They also have teriyaki bowls and burgers - but I haven’t tried those yet.

They have a GREAT selection of bottled & canned sodas/drinks, including Jarritos, Jones, Boylan, and Snapple - big winners!

The inside is dated and worn…and it’s perfect!
It’s been here since 1957, and appears to be family owned & operated.

The lemongrass chicken and beef banh mi sandwiches were flavorful, fresh, and swiftly prepared, but what I really enjoyed was chatting with the owner, Natalie, who was so friendly and kind to me and my toddler. I ordered a slice of the “Green” pizza and the Caesar salad, which is hands down the best Caesar I’ve ever had. The pizza crust is incredibly flavorful with the perfect consistency, and the edge of the crust had just the right thickness with beautiful airy pockets. Absolute perfection.

The Caesar deserves its own shoutout: homemade croutons that were so good they could be a menu item on their own.

I come here for lunch almost every day and usually order the Peppercorn Ranch Chicken Protein Pockets. Since I’m in so often, the staff know what I’m getting and always keep things moving smoothly without ever making the experience feel rushed.

Brisada is always the first to welcome people with a warm greeting as soon as you walk in, which immediately makes the place feel inviting. Even when it gets busy, Brisada and Henry work incredibly well together and move through orders quickly while still staying friendly and attentive.

Today I also met Sam when he rang me up. He was very kind and had a big smile the entire time. You can tell the whole team works well together and takes pride in what they do.

“Went to their toasted sandwiches a rowdy tourist bought all the avocado by the pound so I nearly left without ordering ... then I tried their italian sub and suddenly everything was fine again. Honestly the bread they use is incredible, still crunchy but doesnt tear up your mouth at all which is rare for me. I wasnt expecting much because tourist spots hit or miss but this place actually made my day better for real ... they have this one side salad with like pickled onions and I grabbed it on a whim ... I finished every bite and thought about buying a second one. I sat outside and just watched people walk around and felt super lucky to have stopped here, would totally drive back just for lunch.“
