Was at UCLA and was looking for a good sandwich for lunch. Glad I made the trip. Sandwiches were great and fairly good portions. A bit higher priced, but the flovors and ingredients were top notch. Great service front the counter explaining the options and giving some food opinions. Definitely be wback if I'm up here again.

The Carving Board West LA is a popular deli in LA, known for its great selection and unique sandwich combinations. Favorites include the Bentley and Sweet November. The restaurant is praised for its friendly and attentive staff, and features a Jones Soda Fountain. Customers find it to be a cozy place with a relaxed atmosphere, offering plenty of different options, including seasonal choices. The sandwiches are made fresh and are flavorful, with some feeling like a gourmet version of a Subway 6-inch. It is a little pricey for lunch, and some find the portions a bit small for the cost. Parking can be limited during peak hours. Overall, The Carving Board offers quality food and a welcoming environment, suitable for those looking for a good meal on the go. It is an underrated West LA gem with great sandwiches and soups, quick service, and the best house made potato chips. The French dip and chicken parmesan sandwich are really good. Food takes a while but is worth the wait.
