“This place is very close to achieving what it's setting out to do: provide an elegant vegetarian dining experience. I think that might be hard to pull off in a strip mall however. The food and the art are fantastic but the interior design was poorly executed and comes off looking a little cheap. I went for my birthday but for the price this might have been a one time experience. Updated from previous review on 2024-04-06“

It just launched a few days ago, but is already my favorite burger (got the Phat Hass Burger) in LA and I have had them all. Even more profoundly, they have the best loaded frots I’ve ever had by a landslide! “I'm so sad that this place is so far because this place is so good! My husband and I ordered the Saucy Butter Chicken Wings, Paneer Masala Fries, Kahmiri Alla Pasta, Spiced Lamb, and Curry Fun (Chana Masala and Chicken Tikka Masala). Our favorites were the wings, fries, and pasta! Must orders. We also had the Mango Lassi and the Pink Punjabi. We both preferred the Mango Lassi. The Pink Punjabi tasted like milky sprite with a hint of rose. For dessert, we finished with the Rose Doughnuts because the Halwa Ice Cream Sandwich wasn't ready. I think I would've preferred the ice cream sandwich because the doughnuts were way too sweet for me. It is a little pricey than what I'm used to - since I live closer to Little India in Artesia. But it's the pricing for the area its in to be honest. Love that this spot is halal and vegan/gluten-free friendly. There's a public parking lot that didn't have an attendant, but had signs to still pay the amount of $10 in a box. We didn't want to risk it, so we parked in the neighborhood and walked. Our service was fantastic with Rajat. The place was clean and vibrant. Everything came out hot, ready, and pretty!“

The person taking our order was nice but the service wasn't as helpful as I would have liked considering it was my first time. The food was good but not amazing. I ordered the tamales which I had to discard the masa as it was too thick and hard. The monte Cristo sandwich was pretty good. I really liked the strawberry chocolate scone though. Their portion size of each thing they add in the bowl is also perfect, not too much one one thing or another and there are definitely places that might overdo it on, say, the granola or the blended stuff. I've only been to this location so I can't speak for the other spots but at this one, they only let in a few people at a time which means a line can end up forming outside. I haven't had to deal with a long line before but it can definitely take some time to get everyone through and finally make it inside. Still, one of my favorite açaí places, if not my favorite!“

During Covid and even more recently, I would order and have it delivered. But tonight I saw they were open and there was parking space right in front so I went in person. Wonderfully warm new owner, quaint dining room albeit small but remodeled and the new owner has plans for more. - feels more authentically Indian with a Mexican twist. Indian movie posters and music, colorful walls and tables. Their Chicken Tikka Masala sauce is the real deal as is the raita. Delicious. The chicken tikka masala quesadillas are reasonable and filling. I'm so glad they survived Covid and with this new management I'm excited to see what comes next. Have an adventure as I said in my original posting 7 years ago. Tired of the same old same old? Support local businesses. And enjoy!“

Vegan AF Food Truck Mobile caterer •
888 S Hope St, Los Angeles

“I asked Vegan AF to cater an event for about 50-60 diverse people and Chanel killed it. Our guests said they would be fully converted to veganism if it meant eating her hand-fried crispy wraps stuffed with a flavorable combination of vegetables and faux meats. This is really important to my family who tease me for being vegetarian. She showed up early so we had time to organize things in the party room to best serve her needs and the flow of the event. The pink containers and branding made sure that everyone who loved her food would be able to find her. There were a lot of designers, so branding was important. Most importantly, Vegan AF complimented the community festival vibe of the night. I look forward to eating Vegan AF again and again as many of the guests that night. Thank you, Chanel.“

“Such an amazing gem. Wanted to eat after a night out but finding vegan and healthy food was tough. This was worth the drive! The food was incredible, so flavorful, all organic and vegan. So much selection. We are the grain pancakes with the tofu scramble, sausage and has brown and the waffle deluxe. Generous portions and well seasoned as well as they served it with date syrup. The hot chocolate with oat milk was the best I've had. The cinnamon was so fresh and not too sweet. The vibe is such a trip because it's like entering a portal with snoop dog on a wall and then Mayan woodwork art.Great service too!100% recommend and open til 12a on a friday“

“Excellent vegan food. I got the vegan pho, which was HUGE. Normally vegan pho comes with more vegetable in it and this one comes with only spinach, so I decided to order a side of steamed broccoli. But when the soup came, I was shocked at how big the portion was. To be honest I was starving and even then I could have not ordered the broccoli and been fine. There was plenty of spinach in the phon and it was packed full of flavor. The waitress was very friendly and the place was clean. Parking was ok, I ended up parking on the residential street to the left of the restaurant because the lot seemed too packed directly in front of the restaurant.Vegetarian options: EverythingDietary restrictions: Vegan, gluten-free“

“Ice cream + donuts is always a hit! Service here is always fast and friendly! I love their Paramoreo donut with Paramoreo ice cream! (Think Cookie Monster Oreo ice cream) My only complaint is that they don't have as much donut options as their sister shop, Donut Friend. Parking can be kind of tricky as it does get busy on sunset and it's street parking only.“

“Yummy! I've been really into acai lately. When I got a job in Century City, I found myself going to the Century City mall on a daily for lunch. During one of my lunch outings, I came across Oakberry Acai. When I entered, I was getting huge Deja Vu. I realized that I had been there once before thanks to a Yelp event. Since my experience went well during the Yelp event, I already knew I was going to like it.The place was clean and straight to the point. I was greeted by a nice gentleman who helped me order. I got an acai with granola, chia seeds, strawberries, blueberries, and bananas. It definitely hit the spot! It tasted fresh and it was filling. Thank you!!“
