I pass by Yama a lot on my way to and from the Santa Monica Airport. I typically drop by the Chipotle next door to pick up something quick but decided to check out Yama. And am I glad I did! The 5 pc nigiri Bento Box was exactly what I was looking for in a medium/light lunch. I was especially impressed with the karaage. This is our neighborhood sushi go to. I also always pick up with out of town guests- they love seeing the market aspect. The fish is so fresh, it’s fast, easy and affordable. The chicken katsu is a must. Carrot cake mochi with the frozen desserts is to die for.

Im so glad I finally discovered Yama! I am in love with the Yama special California roll - I’m disappointed to see that it’s not available to order separately on Door dash - Please add it there! The only thing I haven’t loved so far was the unagi roll, it had a rubbery texture. Maybe I just was unlucky with that one. Overall really good sushi! I also love the rest of the market with the Japanese gifts :)
