“This was my first Michelin star restaurant that I have experienced that I heard about from Tik Tok. It lived up to the hype. I recommend going early or after lunch as it packed during lunch time. The line is out the door. The food is delicious and I would recommend to any seafood lover. The prices are reasonable and you get a lot of food in each dish. If you are the the downtown area it definitely a must try. It right next door to the DMV so it not a lot of parking so you have to drive around to a spot open up if you go during lunch time. It is loud in there as it is a food hall with about 6 other restaurants in the same building. It is still a good experience and worth giving a try.“

“I've been wanting to try different omakase places in the LA area for a while now, and stumbled upon Omakase by Ozen online - and I'm glad I came! Reservations were made quickly and easily via Yelp, and I love that I was able to change my reservation time without much of a hassle. My boyfriend and I came here to celebrate after I took the MCAT, so we were extremely hungry when we got here. I think this place might have had valet out front, but we opted to just find street parking in the neighborhood for a ~5 minute walk (which worked out afterwards since it let us walk off our food!). The actual restaurant is a very small and quaint place; we sat at a table instead of the bar but I thought the decorations were very cute. Service was very fast and attentive. They handed us a menu as soon as we came in, and we ordered the $130 omakase - which was a pretty good deal for the quality of the food and the whole experience. I do have to say that I was not full after the meal (so my boyfriend and I ended up getting more food afterwards at a different place), but I did enjoy my time here. Definitely worth a try if you're celebrating because of the food and the service, but I personally don't think I'd come back for the omakase.“

“The signature dish is the crab in sauce, which comes in medium and large sizes. medium is two crabs with two bowls of rice, and large is three crabs. Compared with other Korean restaurants, the sauce crab taste is mild, and it will not be salty enough to explode in the middle of the meal and cannot continue to eat. The crab is fresh, not fishy, and the meat is firm, not squishy. The crab meat is also very full, the crab legs are full, there is no empty shell crab. The sea urchin rice is a little smaller but the sea urchin is enough. regular sea urchins are not particularly sweet, but they are fresh and worth the price. The sea urchin Rice bowl combo will be served with steamed eggs, runny eggs and two prawns in sauce. Raw marinated salmon rice is amazing to me. The salmon is marinated just enough to be flavorful, but not overly salty. The portions are generous. You can eat two bites of each piece of salmon.“

The mini sides of choclo (sweet corn), cancha (corn kernels), and sweet potato add so much texture and flavor to the overall dish. Definitely a must try! “Shrimply AMAZING!!!! My Buddy has been telling me about this place for years and it's right down the street from my office. Finally the shrimps aligned and I got my ass down to the truck. Service is good. Food comes out super fast. I started with 3 fried shrimp tacos and 6 oysters. Let's talk about the tacos. Perfectly fried, crunchy and the shrimp bits were chopped chunky and was mixed with some kind of stuffing. Avocado slices and salsa topping was perfection. The flavors blended perfectly! The oysters were delicious! I've never had an oyster w salsa topped with a slice of octopus or a whole shrimp before. Super hearty and delicious. It took away from the taste of the oyster, but still very very good. These tacos are so amazing I had to get another three. 6 tacos, 6 oysters and a jarriotos w 20% tip was about $40. I wish they had tables or something to grub on, but slamming these tacos down on red plastic stools worked just fine. Def coming back!!!“

“Heard so much hype about Soban so I wanted to try it out. The inside was a lot smaller than expected so try to come when it's not busy or make a reservation before. The dishes were really flavorful and I totally understand why there's so much talk about Soban. I demolished the braised black code which was my favorite, and I'm not usually a big fan of fish. The flavor of the fish was to die for and even the veggies were cooked perfectly. The braised pork ribs were also good and the stew was probably my least favorite. The price is pretty hefty and I can't say it's worth the crazy price tag, all three dishes came out to be around $160 and the four of us shared the three dishes. I think less is more here because the banchan is also really good and fills you up. Service was a bit slow but maybe it's because I went during a slow time and there was only two staff in the front. Try it out if you love traditional Korean dishes and authentic flavors!“
