“My wife’s family and I come here at least 1-2 a month. I love coming here. Typically I’ll order their salt and pepper pork, but I’ve yet to order something I didn’t like on their menu.
Service is always extremely friendly and the food usually comes out promptly.“

“This place exceeded my expectations! The spicy boiled fish was flavorful and authentic, with just the right level of heat and tenderness. The fish was very fresh and paired perfectly with rice. The bok choy was cooked just right and balanced the meal nicely, and the fried chicken was crispy on the outside and juicy inside without being greasy.
Portions were generous, food came out quickly, and everything tasted freshly made. The restaurant was clean, and the service was friendly and attentive. Definitely a great spot for a casual meal with friends or family. I’ll be coming back!“

“From the outside this looks like a hole in the wall place in a strip mall but inside it's huge and magical! We had a party of 200 people in there and there was still areas for other pattons.
Aside from most of the staff not speaking English to tell us what we were eating when it was brought out we figured it out and everything was uniquely different in its own way!
I usually take food pics but I didn't this time! P.S beer was only 5 bucks a bottle!“

“Yeah!! I still remember being a bit disappointed the first time I went to the Century City location — it just didn’t feel that cute. But this new store has so much atmosphere! Even though the donuts are a bit sweet for me, it’s just really nice sitting here.“

“This restaurant has good foods at reasonable prices. They have many choices on the menu. They serve big portions of foods. We ordered broccoli beef and walnut shrimps which come with a big bowl of pork meat/bones with vegetables soup and a big bowl of steam rice for daily lunch specials.
Waitresses also gave us attentive services.
We will come back for good foods and good services.“

“The dim sum here is good, especially their shrimp eggplant toast and chicken feet. They offer complimentary indoor parking, which is a big plus. The service is generally good, but if you order main dishes, expect a longer wait especially during busy weekend lunch hours. Overall, it’s a nice spot for dim sum, just be prepared for slower service when it’s crowded.“

“Lobster noodle special $16.99 is only available with minimum purchase $20 or more also the noodle and sides additional, $26 roasted duck has a minimum of 3 main course purchase and only available evening. The tea taste was very generic, charged my 10yrs old tea count(told me all tea count over 4yrs old), old school dim sum cart is authentic and give it a thumbs up because a lot of restaurants are no longer doing dim sum carts no more. Haven’t tried other seafood yet, but the noodle with lobster was too small and over fried, that’s what you may get for a special I guess. Total gross charge of $60-$6tax-$6tea count= $48 net with 4 dim sum flat fee of $5 plus a lobster noodle for 4 people sounds very fair. Only need to improve the food and tea quality bit more toward a higher end quality seafood restaurant with more attractive pricing.“

“Monterey Palace Restaurant is a classic Cantonese dining spot in Monterey Park, especially popular for dim sum and large family meals. The restaurant has a big banquet-style dining room that feels lively and busy, especially during weekend brunch.
I stopped by for dim sum, and the variety was impressive. The shrimp dumplings (har gow) were fresh and delicate, while the Portuguese egg tarts were warm, flaky, and slightly sweet. I also tried the roast duck, which had crispy skin and tender, flavorful meat.
The portions are generous, making it a great place to share dishes with a group. The service can be a little fast-paced when it’s busy, but the food quality makes up for it.
Overall, Monterey Palace is a solid spot for traditional Cantonese food and dim sum in the San Gabriel Valley. If you’re looking for a classic Chinese banquet-style restaurant, it’s definitely worth a visit.“
