“Endroit hyper typique ! Bonne musique, cocktails d’un excellent niveau et à un prix tout à fait honnête, tous les classiques sont dispo et le barman tient la corde niveau cordes vocales !! Excellente carte de dîner ! Nous n’avons pas testé le grill … seul regret de la soirée. Il faut qu’on y retourne, absolument”
“Great Dim Sum spot for classic dim sum food and not too long on wait for a table.”
“If you want a place to hang out after an activity with friends and eat good food while listening to some relaxing karaoke THIS IS YOUR PLACE! Yes there are busy times for this place because this place has great food, service, and atmosphere! I've been here with different sets of friends and I have never had a bad time...though parking may be a bit hard it's worth it. Also the prices for everything are fair and I don't end up spending too much especially in a group.”

“Came here for my Grandma’s 80th birthday. Was recommended this spot for Peking Duck by a friend and it did not disappoint. The duck meat was juicy and duck skin was crispy. The eggplant was flavorful while the soup was pretty refreshing. I thought the grilled eel was ok, not very strong in flavorful in comparison with the rest of the meal.
The staff were very friendly and food came out promptly (not much of a wait). I would come back again for the Peking Duck alone!”
“If you want authentic Burmese Food, go there. Not pricy, yummy food and warmly welcoming environment.
I really wanted Shan noodle with Tofu but mostly Burmese Restaurant only offered Shan Noodle, but this one has it. So I ordered Shan Tofu Noodle and it’s so fresh. Monhikha is good but texture is thick.
The place is hard to find as it’s really small inside. Waiting time for food is so long, for me, I waited for about 20 25 mins to get my food after already ordering. The lunch special deal is good one.”
“Honestly customer service 100% great. But the food was so bad I will never come here. This location needs to learn from Alhambra as far as food. And Alhambra needs to learn from this location about great customer service. UPDATE I WAS HERE RECENTLY AND EVERYTHING HAS BEEN FIXED WHAT A ICONIC LOS ANGELES CA OPTION THAT PEOPLE TAKE FOR GRANTED.”
“The food was good, but I wasn’t comfortable with the way the server handled the bowls and plates. I saw hisi hands touch the money, computer surface, and the dirty table. Wearing gloves made me uncomfortable, especially when the server’s fingers touched the inside of the bowl. Other than that, the food was great.”

“Jin Hai / Beijing Pie House has gotten better over the years. The lamb and leeek meat pies arrived nice and crispy with ample soup inside. The lamb flavor was subtle and clean with a satisfying smattering of yellow leek.
The three ingredient dumplings (leek, pork, shrimp) were supple and balanced. The thick looking wrappers were deceptively supple with a bit of bite and flavor of the fillings sang a song of freshness.
Glad we came back and will put this back in our rotation.”
“I enjoyed this place a lot. It was a little bit hard to find at first, as it is located above the supermarket. The server was very friendly, helping me to find a good vegetarian option. The cold sesame noodles were tasty and refreshing, and the price is not bad ($8.99). The dining area is spacious and comfortable.”
“Premier Dessert Art is a low-key, casual shop, which serves delicious, unique, and creative desserts.
It is located in the middle of a row of shops and popular restaurants, including Mama Lu’s Dumplings and Chubby Cattle.
Free parking is available in the parking lot behind the shops and restaurants or on the street close by. Space is limited. You should probably come before or after dinner in order to avoid the crowds.
The dine-in area in the shop is not too big. There are mostly small tables for 2 people. But there are larger tables for 4-6 people in the front of the shop.
To place a dine-in order, you need to scan the QR on the little sign (with table number) on each table.
A server will bring out your dessert order to your table when the order is ready in about 15 min. The wait time may be more or less depending on how busy the shop is.
After you’re done eating, you pay your bill at the cashier register in the middle of the shop. Be sure to include a tip to show your appreciation for the nice service.
If you’re looking for a casual, quiet place to eat yummy desserts and chat with friends after dinner, you should definitely check out Premier Dessert Art! =)”
“Best sushi in LA! Everything melted in your mouth! The fish is fresh, the price is affordable, and the service is great! It looks like a hole in the wall - but wow :)) We eat there once a week and love it! Drove all the way from Studio City to have dinner there - 2 hours each way in traffic - so that's obviously what it says :)) Haha Just love it!”

“Pastry was dry, but the curry filling was yummy with a touch of spicy. Fan Tuan (purple rice) was amazing, total hit with the husband and kiddos. My husband doesn't care for pickled veggies, but he stated it actually works really well in the roll with all the other ingredients. My kids call it Chinese kimbap and it was an amazing, easy, quick and clean lunch for the kiddos at the airport. Definitely coming back to try other items on their menu. Front lady was nice and made funny jokes and smart remarks. Lol”

“Food was delicious and the service was excellent. Not too busy for lunch. Servings were sizeable perfect for sharing . Free Desert is served after the meal. No my cup of tea but my mates thoroughly enjoyed it. The restaurant is somewhat dated but it was clean throughout. Don't pass by this place of you enjoy Thai food 🫠😊”
“Ricky was a great server and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our visit. He was attentive, friendly, and always there whenever we needed assistance. The food was amazing, and everything exceeded our expectations. We left completely satisfied with both the service and the dining experience. We will definitely be coming back and highly recommend this place to others!”
“This Sunright location has been a solid spot in my boba rotation for years. It's quite a small shop with no seating, just a place to order and go. They have two self ordering kiosks at the back which is great especially when it's busy. However, I'd always prefer to order online anyways to remove any wait time at all.
Interior is pretty clean and staff is pretty quick, parking is plentiful, street parking and parking lot in the back.
My go to drinks here is always the oreo brulee and the white peach milk teas. Both are very refreshing and always delciious regardless of weather. It can get a bit sweat for the oreo brulee but a sugar adjustment does the trick. I like that their cups are one of the more higher quality feel than other shops. Simple design yet modern and classic at the same time. The bottom is sturdy but has a round outer layer, very unique as other shops don't have that style.
Overall, great drinks, extensive menu, and options for all kinds of tea lovers. They have other locations as well but this location is one that's been around for a long time, very consistent for the most part. Keep a look out for events they do on social media and also recommend downloading the Toast app to collect points.”
“First time every eating in a restaurant on a styrafoam plate, but it didn't take away from my meal. Tried out their noodles with beef and I found it to be quite tasty with the sauce. Small simple little place, tempted to return for their breakfast and evening specials”
“They were not joking when they called this comfort food. I was sick, and it was raining, so I wanted something warm and hearty. This place seemed like the obvious choice, and far exceeded my expectations. Food came out fast and blistering hot, but still perfect temperature to eat right away. It was somehow nostalgic, even though it was my first time trying this dish. The tofu was extremely soft, but held its shape well, and very flavorful from absorbing the liquid. It really felt like it cured by illness.
Portion size was also very generous, which is always important. The menu was also pretty varied, I could imagine coming back multiple times and trying something new each time.”
“This is a no-frills simple traditionally Ramen. The interior is clean. The atmosphere is very minimalistic. The surf surf great, including just the flavored water that’s given. Not a fan of the fusion items. However the Ramen is solid. Grape flavor, not too oily. Would highly recommend for those who’ve been to Japan and want to have traditional Ramen. Is a smaller location, it cannot accommodate more than 40 people. They do have to go options. They also have vegetarian and vegan options as well.”

“Go here and go here soon. This place is great. Super fresh everything. Big coolers on one wall where you select meat and veg on trays and skewers. The assortment is broad. I was fortunate to have gone with friends from China, so they guided my choices. You can't go wrong with the basics here, though. Friendly service and very clean. Open late!”
“I recently stopped by Good Shine Kitchen Chinese Food to pick up some dumplings and wontons, and I was honestly really impressed with the quality and flavor. You can tell right away that this place focuses on comfort food done the right way, without trying to overcomplicate things.
The dumplings were the highlight for me. The wrappers were thin but sturdy, not overly thick or doughy, and they held together perfectly after cooking. The filling tasted fresh and well-seasoned, with a good balance of meat and texture. They reminded me a lot of homemade dumplings you’d eat with family, especially the kind you freeze and cook whenever you’re craving something warm and satisfying.
The wontons were just as good. The filling was smooth and flavorful, and they cooked evenly without falling apart. Whether you enjoy them in soup or on their own, they’re comforting and simple in the best way. This is the kind of food that feels familiar if you grew up eating Chinese or Taiwanese-style home cooking.
The restaurant itself feels low-key and local, but the food quality is solid and consistent. Portions are generous for the price, and it’s a great spot if you’re looking for authentic-tasting dumplings and wontons without needing a fancy setup.
I’ll definitely be coming back to restock my freezer and try more items from their menu. Highly recommended if you’re in the Monterey Park area and craving real comfort Chinese food.”
“I was looking for somewhere to meet up with a colleague for lunch and CP came highly recommended. My colleague did the ordering. I found the taste and selection of dim sum to be one of the highlights. CP does get noisy. Service is excellent. Restaurant comps underground parking.”
“Visited here 2 weeks ago.. the vibe is awesome. The location is tiny but a great use of space and great energy. Shout out to Cindy she is a rockstar! I think Monday nights with Mindy are the best kept secret at this place. Thanks for bringing joy and care into the world through painting (and Boba)... See you soon!”
“Great old-school dim sum spot in Monterey Park! Came here on a weekday and loved the value — most dim sum items were only around $3.68, and the lobster special was a great deal. The traditional push cart style gives it a very classic Cantonese feel. Everything we ordered was tasty, especially the dim sum favorites. Will definitely come back!”
“The food and services are excellent. We eat here every time we visit!”

“McDonald's is one of the better McDonald’s locations I have visited in the area. The restaurant was recently renovated, and the new design makes the place look much cleaner, brighter, and more modern. The updated seating area is comfortable, and the overall atmosphere feels more welcoming compared to older McDonald’s locations.
One thing I notice every time I come here is how many students visit this location. Since it is close to schools and residential areas, many students come here after class to eat, study, meet friends, or simply relax. During the afternoons and evenings, the restaurant often feels lively and energetic, but it is still usually well maintained and organized.
The service is also pretty efficient. Even during busy hours, the staff works quickly and the wait time is normally reasonable. The self-order kiosks are convenient and help make the ordering process easier. Another big advantage is the parking. There are usually enough parking spaces available, which makes visiting this location much more convenient than some other busy restaurants nearby.
Overall, this McDonald’s has improved a lot after the renovation. The clean environment, convenient location, and active atmosphere make it a great place for a quick meal or a casual hangout spot for students and local residents.”
“This spot was recommended to us and it did not disappoint. The moment we walked in the vibe was amazing. The girls were awesome very nice and helpful. I wish I can name them all but the one person that served us was Vanessa. She was really sweet explaining the menu the point we can make by registering and so on! The place is very clean and very tidy! The boil was perfect and the sides were delicious. We had the fries (lemon pepper) garlic bread & onion rings, all 10/10! There is so many things I can say but I don't want to bore you guys. Lol you need to try it for yourself:)”
“This is by far the most delicious Cantonese restaurant. Too bad they close the temple city branch. I have to drive here to have their lunch special. Menu off the lunch special are also amazing and delicious. It’s truly a gem. Every dish taste amazing. Highly recommended ❤❤❤❤”

“Fantastic HK noodle house in the heart of Monterey Park. The slow braised beef is fantastic, the noodles are supposedly flown in from Hong Kong, the wontons are fresh (but a little salty for my taste), the soup base is on point. Sort of a hole in the wall kinda feel decor, owner speaks English Mandarin and Cantonese. Aside from the some what lack of parking situation (street parking only), there's really nothing to dislike. Price is fair too. Would come again and explore more of the menu.”
“We had a good experience dining here for breakfast after weeks of craving Hong Kong style milk tea and french toast. Super glad to have tried this place out! Menu is very budget friendly, the portions are huge and the customer service is superb. Will definitely come back to this place.”
“First time every eating in a restaurant on a styrafoam plate, but it didn't take away from my meal. Tried out their noodles with beef and I found it to be quite tasty with the sauce. Small simple little place, tempted to return for their breakfast and evening specials”
“And they were having a promotion where if I leave a review, I get a free drink so I’m grateful for that. The tea was good. There was only a little bit of miscommunication with customizing a drink and they make you do the review before they give you the drink so other than that I will definitely come back.”
“If you’re looking for authentic China Tianjin-style Chinese food in Los Angeles, this place is an absolute gem.
Everything we ordered was incredibly fresh and tasted just like the breakfast and street food you would find in Tianjin. The pork and green onion steamed buns were outstanding—soft, fluffy dough with juicy, flavorful filling. At $13 for 8 large buns, the value is amazing.
The savory tofu pudding (doufunao) was rich and comforting, the jianbing (Chinese crepe) was made fresh with the perfect crispy texture, and the red bean pastry was delicious without being overly sweet. We also tried the beef tendon dish, which was tender, well-seasoned, and full of flavor.
What impressed me most was how authentic everything tasted. Nothing felt watered down or overly Americanized. Every dish reminded me of the flavors I grew up with in northern China.
Before driving back to the Bay Area, we even bought fresh pork & green onion buns, chive buns, and seafood buns to take home because they were just that good.
Highly recommended for anyone craving genuine Tianjin style cuisine. We’ll definitely be back the next time we’re in Los Angeles!
As someone who has eaten Tianjin food for many years, I truly appreciate the care and authenticity that goes into every dish. It’s not easy to find this level of quality in the U.S. Thank you for bringing a real taste of Tianjin to Los Angeles. We can’t wait to come back!”

“This Chinese skewers place is a great place to eat at. Their variety of skewers both in meat and veggie are diverse. They also have a mild and spicy version (mala) and a none spicy for all levels of enjoyment. The spicy sliced potato, corn cheese and enoki mushrooms were great. Their Sapporo pitcher special for $10 was also a great deal.
Overall the meat and marinade was great and the special items such as chicken heart and pork skin was crispy and good. The service was decent if you waived the staff down. We got all our orders in a timely manner. The vibe is kind of loud but enjoyable time with friends and family. Bring a shirt you don't care to smell as the cooking will stick onto your clothes.”
“Walked in and ordered at the counter! We sat ourselves. They will bring the food out to your table.
All pizzas come with ONE topping and any additional are what the prices are shown in the menu. Their pizza is pretty thick! It’s not thin crust but still very tasty! Their breading is soft and not chewy/doughy so that’s a plus!
We got the 16” - sausage - pizza - a tiny bit of spice on the pizza! They gave plates + cheese/chili pepper on the side. We could’ve gone a size down! We ate half the pizza only!
Parking: it was easy since I came around 11:30 on a weekday.
Seating: 2 big tables and a few small tables. A lot of take outs!
price: it’s on the higher end but I would come back as it was filling and delicious!”

“Wow! Meat pies from heaven in a mini- mall off N Garfield Avenue. Everything here is great. Not a sit down place as such, since it's really small and they only have a few tables, but I'm sure you could eat in if you wanted to (they have a short menu) - but it's not really a restaurant atmosphere - more of a small hole in the wall family run takeout, with Grandpa making dumplings by hand at a table when I was there. There seems to be very little English spoken here. Very delicious and authentic - I'll be back!”
“The food is very good here. It's way more than a notch above fast food. Prices are more than fair. I could be wrong, but the interior looks almost the same as Shakas did. ... My salmon was cooked to perfection. We'll definitely be back.
Lots of Dodgers love in the place! 💙⚾🧢”

“Had their Tiramisu at a birthday not expecting much, but ohhhhh lawd, lemme tell you! It was genuinely one of the best Asian-style Tiramisus I’ve ever had. The cream cheese flavor really shined through and the cake itself was great. Everyone loved it and had seconds despite getting so full from dinner.”
“Not every meal has to be at the trendiest restaurant.
Sometimes all you need is a classic Hong Kong cafe, a table full of comfort food, and a game playing in the background.
We stopped by JJ Hong Kong Cafe in Monterey Park and tried their Curry Combination Rice, Beef Brisket Lo Mein, Baked Pork Chop Macaroni, Deep Fried Cornish Hen, Fried Chili Turnip Patties, and French Toast.
The French Toast with ice cream was easily one of the most memorable dishes on the table. Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and perfect for sharing.
The atmosphere felt old-school and casual — the kind of neighborhood spot where people come for a relaxed meal, late-night cravings, or to catch a game with friends.

Cheap Eats
“Place specialize in hand pulled noodles and home made dumplings. Very authentic. Recommend the lamb noodles. Just visited again. As delicious as ever. I would love the owners to replace the plasticware with ceramic again. Always weird to eat out plasticware at a restaurant.”
“I just came across this place by chance and got interested in ‘rice noodles’ and never had any dish from Guilin before. I was pleasantly surprised to find a gems of cuisine! The owners are super-friendly and especially generous condiment booth much more so than any restaurants I’d seen. Plus the price is super economical. Because of such pleasant personalities and exceptional services of the owner couple, it makes the ambiance so unique and very cozy to dine in. Not to mention the taste of the dish is great! I love the chewy round rice noodles that seems to be hand-made. It reminds me of simple noodles made laboriously I encountered in a remote village in Laos where they called it ‘Khao Pun’ made fro slightly fermented rice that was pounded, steam and pounded again so the texture is soft but chewy. It came in delicious meat sauce. I got pork belly and beef ribs. I was surprised that beef ribs were debone making it very pleasant to eat. This place is a rare find and I’ll be back to try other dishes again”
“Its been a long time since I've felt like giving a generous tip. Its hard to find/see someone paying attention to his surroundings, clear communicator and making things happen for everyone. I felt bad for the tables that didnt have his service. Michael, was and over the top with waitering and his hospitality. He went the extra mile making sure my grandma and I had a great dining experience. Thank you Michael.”
“The Tea or Not Tea is the question. Let’s dine into this new tea adventure.
The Tea is a popular local tea shot in Monterey. They are located in a shopping plaza on Atlantic avenue. Their tea drinks are compendious. Staff were competent. It was my first time here and was impressed with their tea drinks. I had an Avocado smash smoothie and Mango pomelo sago. Both were very good at an affordable price. This tea shop is welcoming and relaxing.
Overall, I enjoyed their drinks. I recommend it.”
“Very good Banh Mi. Ingredients and bread taste very fresh and portions are generous. As people have noted, the service is a bit on the slow side for made to order items but is definitely deserving of the five star review despite this (this restaurant is way over an aggragate 4.3 rating). Having lived in Paris the texture and consistency of the bread is on par but there is the extra 9/10 that is missing in the flavor that is present in baked items from France. A place I certainly recommend!”
“It used to sell more supermarket type goods, whereas now, it’s more expensive teas and tea ware, electronics, wine and dried goods. It’s majority tea related stuff, so, it’s a good place to look for most kinds of Chinese teas, especially loose leaf and tea cakes.”
“Best BBQ I’ve ever had. Owner is nice & in fact is my friend’s mom. Her whole family owns the place & the BBQ tastes like heaven. My friend’s aunt is the cook & the BBQ was so good when I tried it. Thank you to Kexin’s family for giving us free BBQ yesterday. :) Next time, we will dine in your restaurant.”

“My kids knew of this place and suggested it. There is a drive-thru with workers working the line of cars. We opted to park and order at the walk-up window. There were no lines at the time we arrived, thankfully.
The menu is simple. Five choices with drinks and extras. Catering is available. Cashier was courteous and patient. My name was called after a five minute wait, not bad.
Overall the food is good, environment is comfortable, and staff is great.
Thank you and God bless.”

“I love love love this coffee shop. The staff is so friendly and welcoming. Their drinks are always spot on. I always get an iced Fist Bump. And the vibe is always so calm. It’s the perfect place to work and/or study. This place is good for singles, couples, and families alike. It has a great parking space too. Thank you Yihui Coffee and staff! 🤍”
“ALL VEGAN Vietnamese Restaurant! SO AMAZING! The little asian ladies are so sweet, make me feel like I'm having a meal at home. Very rare to see an all plant-based establishment, especially one of this nature. Got the recommended #40, comes with soup and cold tea, and six different meats. I didn't know what I was eating, but damn was it good!”

“A new tea shop opening in a crowded SGV, my wife and I visited for their grand opening weekend and we were pretty happy with the experience. Staff here for opening weekend were efficient and quick for the amount of people visiting.
There's self order kiosks as well as ordering with the cashier up front. Seating is limited but just enough for a small cafe I'd say. It's more of a grab and go spot rather than a hangout spot. Inside is pretty spacious though, mostly walking space with small tables and a wall bench. It's also pretty clean and modern. Love the tan color lighting as well as the counter design.
Their menu design is pretty big but not too big. They put a drink cup logo next to the drink options that are popular and my favorites go to the Honey Amber Oolong Milk Tea which happens to be one of their most popular drinks as well. It's refreshing and not too overwhelming. Highly recommend trying this drink.
Overall, definitely a spot that my wife and I will visit again. Their cups are definitely social media worthy as well which is nice. Sturdy cups + cute design = excellent quality.”
“Stopped here after brunch. I had Vietnamese coffee (warm) with less sugar. It tasted fine. I like the shop because it was of too crowded, and free WiFi is offered to customers. Easy parking so it’s ideal for those who want to relax and enjoy a good cup of Vietnamese coffee.”
“Yeah, another biased review because I REALLY LIKE KATSU CURRY.
The cleanliness, the staff, the aroma, the food - Kagura already had me at Hello from the door. Then came the katsu, katsudon, and curry, and suddenly everyone else’s plate started looking like part of my order.
My family may still have questions about how I ended up finishing their plates. Zero regrets. Every bite was worth the curry-ous behavior.
I’m drooling while writing this review. Thank you, Kagura, for a wonderful meal. We shall meet again. And again. And probably several more times after that.”
“After a long day in Alhambra, we chose to explore Monterey Park for some dim sum and we stumbled upon Steam Fresh. Their menu is very straight forward with classic dim sum to choose from and more. Everything was so good and fresh! The drinks we got were amazing and the best part of them were free refills! Our server was super attentive as well despite working the register and handing out delivery orders by herself. Definitely coming back here as we had a very pleasant experience overall.”
“I visited this matcha Cafe right after dining at a restaurant whose AC was not working, in a hot and somewhat humid summer day. For me a matcha blend is all I need to cool down. This cafe has a clean, cool, and relaxing ambiance. The Japanese-inspired décor, complete with anime characters, gave it a fun and authentic personality. It took a minute to order and another two minutes to get my matcha blend. It didn’t disappoint. It was rich in matcha, light in cream, and sugar level was just right for me, not too sweet not too bitter, but I wonder if there actually is the customization for sugar level? Maybe I will ask next time I visit this place. The matcha ice cream looked wonderful too, but my stomach was overloaded as was! Now there is one more thing for me to come back to this place for! I was offered a punch card so I guess once the card fills up. Only 9 more visits to go for a free drink.”

“It is great for family gatherings, a traditional recipes of cantonese Chinese food, workers are friendly, great service, we came for family’s Birthday dinner, we ordered Steam garlic lobster over noodles, Pepper filet mignon, a whole winter melon soup…., the food quality is good, large portions and tasty.”
“It was my first time here and I regret not getting the name of my server. Most importantly, I am so glad this place is open late!!! Going back to my server; she greeted me right away, noticed it was my first time, and literally WALKED me through how to order. She was attentive, checked on me frequently, asked if I had rewards to use, and offered me ice cream when I asked for the check. I think she did a great job with all the touch points in making it a memorable and pleasant first time eating here. I am excited to come back and bring my children. I love that I can make my Hot Pot MY WAY!!!”
