“Foo, listen. When the lady taking your order has bread flour on her shirt you know it is going to be fresh.
My family loved the breakfast. House crepe comes with preserved tofu sauce. Crepe was kinda like roti. Everything handmade. Fair prices EOY 2025. 4 adult 1 kid ~60 bucks.

“Busy when we went on a Sunday—there was a line going out the door to order at the counter. Vegan options include choosing tofu scramble or JUST Egg. Service was friendly and they gave us complimentary cornbread mini muffins. Nice sunny cafe space. Updated from previous review on 2026-05-20“

“The Jolly Jug is one of those iconic places that can never be duplicated. The original Jolly Jug was in South El Monte in the 1930s and people came from all around to eat their famous Pastrami’s and Beef Dip sandwiches. Going into another century of their delicious food and cold beer, you can’t go wrong by making a pit stop here. “My husband and I have been going to Mari Vees a few times in the past few months after our trip to Huntington Library. It's a cute little place. Victor, the manager, and his staff are friendly, very attentive, and always pleasant. My husband had a few different breakfast dishes which he liked them all. I love their chicken tortillas soup. We look forward to going there again soon.“

“Had a fantastic experience at Aloha Stacks! The Hawaiian-inspired food was fresh, flavorful, and generously portioned. The Loco Moco and Ube Coconut Pancakes were especially delicious, and everything had a satisfying homemade feel. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the relaxed atmosphere made the meal even more enjoyable. A great spot in El Monte for a hearty breakfast or Hawaiian-style comfort food—definitely worth coming back!“

“Kitchen Mouse Bakery is a true delight! Adorable inside, it has the kindest employees and offers all manner of delicious vegan treats. Their breakfast sandwich is an addiction along with their s’mores brownie. Everything I’ve had has been delicious and it’s a great spot to stop and fill up a box of treats to bring to a party or event. So grateful to have them in my neighborhood!“

“Came for my first afternoon tea experience and thought the set up was amazing. I attended the Brides of Dracula tea and what a great spin! It was just unfortunate that I didn’t realize there were other drinks I could have ordered. The bites were all very tasty and filling too. Would definitely return to try out their full menu.“

“This place is such a hole in the wall, would honestly come back. This place been around for a while but I never know this place exist because it’s so hidden.The service is a bit slow when prepping the food, but their tacos are to die for. I would come back any day for tacos!Parking lot is shared with other shops but not too busy! The menu is consistent and so is their food!Would come back again! Don’t let the small shop and sketchy look deceive you!“

“Came here getting baguettes before leaving out of town, got here at 6am and the bread is definitely hot. I always come here in the morning and grab there baguettes because their baguettes won’t get harden through the days.
Service here is very good absolutely attentive, nice and friendly.
Atmosphere they have outside sitting and inside eating as well, you can come as a group sit and eat.“

“It was my first time dining at this location while I waited for my car tires to get serviced across the street. The restaurant was relatively busy for a weekday early morning. My waitress Yaneli served as hostess at the 8am hour and greeted me as soon as I walked in. She took my order which came out quickly from the kitchen piping hot, brought over condiments and checked on me several times to make sure I was OK and refill my OJ even though she was a one-woman show in a packed section of the restaurant. She made a hectic morning of errands turn around with a refreshing and cheerful vibe. Would definitely come back!“

“I’ve been cutting out refined sugar and it’s been difficult but I came across this place and I was able to have a wonderful chocolate shake with almond milk and cocoa, yes it had sugar but pure cane sugar. It was a great alternative and it taste so yummy! I was also able to add toppings, healthy toppings, strawberries, blueberries, etc. so good! Can’t wait to go back❤️“

“This was our second time here. The young woman host didn’t smile, nor responded to my greeting, “good morning” but our server was very friendly and that created a great atmosphere. We weren’t rushed to order. The food was good. They don’t have Tapatio chili sauce, but they have “chiles toreados.”“

“My company used Crossroads for a very long project that required catering every weekday for over three weeks. Helen was quick on delivery, she was willing to work with us to add variation to the lunches and her prices could not be beat. The employees we were training highly complimented all the food. Sandwiches, wraps, tacos, bento bowls and salads. All of it was delicious. I cannot thank Helen a Crossroads enough for her hard work and wonderful food.“

“EggBred in Whittier was the perfect Saturday brunch spot. I started off with a fresh oj and cold brew. The orange juice was super fresh and sweet. Then came the TRUFFLE CRUNCH BURGER. I could immediately smell the truffle. I loved how savory this was. Next, I shared the BUILD A BENNY - PASTRAMI. The eggs benedict was SO good. For sides, I ordered the BEER BATTERED POTATOES & SD MAC & CHEESE. I highly recommend you put the Mac & Cheese on top of the benny, it adds another cheesy layer dimension. Overall, yummy food thats worth the price point.“
