“This restaurant has an extensive menu of northern Chinese, Sichuan dishes and Peking duck. Unlike other pecking duck restaurants, we did not have the call in advance to pre order the duck. We were a party of 2 and we tried the marinated cold jelly fish, the pecking duck and the stir fried morning glory (ong choi) with garlic. We found all these dishes delicious and of high quality. The service was friendly and the atmosphere was pleasant. The dining room is nicely decorated and noise level low.“

“They were not joking when they called this comfort food. I was sick, and it was raining, so I wanted something warm and hearty. This place seemed like the obvious choice, and far exceeded my expectations. Food came out fast and blistering hot, but still perfect temperature to eat right away. It was somehow nostalgic, even though it was my first time trying this dish. The tofu was extremely soft, but held its shape well, and very flavorful from absorbing the liquid. It really felt like it cured by illness.

Portion size was also very generous, which is always important. The menu was also pretty varied, I could imagine coming back multiple times and trying something new each time.“

It is neither fried noodles nor sesame noodles, but fried sesame noodles mixed with two sauces. The menu is called "Strange Flavor Noodles". The taste is quite rich. When eating, you should mix it with raw cucumber. The noodles, sauce and refreshing cucumber naturally form a delicious balance that makes you want to take another bite.Maybe it's so strange. After eating it for the first time, I ordered this bowl of noodles from the store every time I came back. “My mentor (aka former work mom) lives in this area and takes me to these lovely little neighborhood restaurants. Sadly, many have low reviews which I just cannot understand. My mentor is a fantastic cook so she is really picky about eating out.

The squid noodles - simple yet delicious. One of the best stir fried noodles I have ever had. The wok flavor was strong and you can tell the chef knows what he is doing. The squid is cooked just right. Laksa was really good though this is not one of mg favorite dishes to begin with. The lemongrass chicken chop was outstanding. I have no idea how he got so much flavor and kept the chicken juicy but slightly crisp on the outside. The red bean was also excellent!

The service was very good though that doesn't matter to me. The chef has been cooking for decades and it shows. I will definitely be back to try more dishes.“

“From the outside this looks like a hole in the wall place in a strip mall but inside it's huge and magical! We had a party of 200 people in there and there was still areas for other pattons.
Aside from most of the staff not speaking English to tell us what we were eating when it was brought out we figured it out and everything was uniquely different in its own way!
I usually take food pics but I didn't this time! P.S beer was only 5 bucks a bottle!“

“Really good spot for takeout pho. The broth was super flavorful and still hot when I got home, which I really appreciated. Everything was packed neatly and the portions were actually pretty generous for the price.

“In Los Angeles, there’s a restaurant called Jin Hai that specializes in authentic Tianjin cuisine. They have just about everything on the menu.

I highly recommend their pork and green onion buns—8 for $12, which is an incredibly generous price, probably a world record for value. Each bun is about twice the size of the ones you’d typically find in Tianjin. Absolutely amazing!“

They also have a mild and spicy version (mala) and a none spicy for all levels of enjoyment. The spicy sliced potato, corn cheese and enoki mushrooms were great. Their Sapporo pitcher special for $10 was also a great deal.

Overall the meat and marinade was great and the special items such as chicken heart and pork skin was crispy and good. The service was decent if you waived the staff down. We got all our orders in a timely manner. The vibe is kind of loud but enjoyable time with friends and family. Bring a shirt you don't care to smell as the cooking will stick onto your clothes.“

My husband doesn't care for pickled veggies, but he stated it actually works really well in the roll with all the other ingredients. My kids call it Chinese kimbap and it was an amazing, easy, quick and clean lunch for the kiddos at the airport. Definitely coming back to try other items on their menu. “Food is below average as far as HK cuisine in the area. Hospitality is definitely the most authentic HK you can experience though, i.e. service sucks but that's authentic HK experience for you. Ordered ice HK milk tea and it's all sugar taste. Order seafood noodles and noodle is bland but at least decent amount of shrimp and octopus.

“Saw a post recently about their salted egg yolk chicken wings so I had to check them out! Love salted egg yolk anything. They did not disappoint! So delish outside and the wings were so moist and tender! Loved it! Steamed rice noodles were excellent as was the beef chow fun! The wok hei was 👌🏼. So good I kept wanting to eat more. Loved the on choy (hollow stem veggies) cooked in a spicy fermented tofu sauce, had a little kick. The scrambled eggs with shrimp were cooked to perfection! Shrimp was not overcooked and eggs were moist and fluffy! Baked sole filet rice was huge and cheesy! So good. Everything we had was excellent! Definitely recommend this place for dinner.
