“We hadn't heard about the golden Skwer before we were looking for a banquet hall for my mom 60th birthday. Reached out and promptly received a call from Carla she was great with giving all the information of everything that is included with booking with them, right off the bat I loved speaking with her she was super friendly even with just speaking over the phone and very nice and friendly when we met to confirm details. everyone in her staff was very friendly. Banquet hall is beautiful in itself, food was amazing we had so many people compliment on how good the food is(mind we we hadn't tried till day of event) we booked because of Carla

“I met up with a colleague here for a business meeting and the food was delicious. I ordered a vegetarian burrito and it was a unique, surprising and delicious take on a vegetarian burrito. It had beans, rice, potatoes and squash. My buddy ordered the chilaquiles and found them to be quite delicious.
I highly recommend this place. They do get a lunch rush; so I'd suggest planning your visit around that.“

“I had an hour in between appointments in Montebello, really surprised to stumble at this mom & pop Mexican restaurant. It had four 4-person tables inside and an authentic vibe for locals. I ordered a Special Plate for 2 fish soft tacos that was served with rice & bean and a small drink for $10. I didn't think much of it at first, the portion was big. It was so delicious that ate the whole thing. I loved everything about this restaurant, definitely will come back again with my family.“

I'm thankfull I got to meet that lady during my short trip in LA. Such a breath of fresh air and a lovely experience.
She is patient and welcoming and the food is great ! I mean, just enter the shop and you'll know you'll be eating good tonight.
The portions are huge for the price too. We did 1 serving for both me and my sister, it was perfect. ▶️ 15$ ! That's it !

“Buffets are generally not my go to place, but I was impressed. Good variety of salad items, main dishes desserts and everything was flavorful. Arrived at 5pm on Saturday but wait time was less than 10 minutes for our group of 10 even though the place was packed. Restroom was reasonably clean considering the amount of people. Overall I was not disappointed.“

“Looking for a quick lunch my buddy and I dropped by this spot on the way home from the gym.

I got the soup of the day and was recomended a gyro by Nick himself. My buddy got burger and fries. Everything was seasoned excellently and with attention to detail.

The soup hit the spot and the gyro filled me up and when we were just about finished with our meal Nick's wife brought us some lemon cake she baked herself it was awesome.

If you're in Montebello looking for some Greek food I highly suggest checking them out.

Parking: They have a lot with about 10 parking spots and the streets near by have free parking too.“

“My first visit here was about 1 year ago and I was very impressed they serve you hot tea with hot egg soup and crispy noodles as soon as you sit down. The service people are very friendly and fast. It’s a small place but they can fit about 65 to 70 people. They take your order and the cooking person is very fast! I always recommend this place all their dishes are very delicious.🫶😋“

“Located at the edge of the plaza. Very cozy atmosphere. Love the shelf aesthetic in the back and the aquarium up front. I had the modern Thai fried rice and the supreme pad Thai. Both were delicious and packed with flavor. I've also had the 3-flavor fish in the past and would highly recommend that as well! Staff were great and attentive as well.“

“My first time coming here, and as a big fan of fish and chips, I have to say I was very satisfied with my order. I got the fish, shrimp, and zucchini instead of the chips, and everything was great. I also loved that they gave full bottles of condiments instead of the small little cups. My favorite part, though, was definitely the zucchini chips — they were amazing. I’ll definitely be coming back again!“

“Honestly the food is delicious they need a couple more selections but it was a friendly environment that got busy for diner. I’d def come back and try the kung poa when it seems hot and fresh, you can tell the food was sitting for a bit but thankfully we got fresh orange chicken and teriyaki the white rice was ok so were the noodles and fried rice not so greasy ! Other than that this place is not to bad.“

“If you plan on wanting to eat at home, definitely order ahead..Wait for Pupusas is usually about 20 minutes. The people there are very nice, they have reasonable prices, and I feel like they are consistent with the quality of their food( at least for the last 5 years that I've been going).. my go tos are usually Pupusas de queso con jalapeño and bean and cheese, oh and the loroco ones. Plus an order of yucca frita with chicharron.“

“This place has been here for years. Had the breakfast burrito with chorizo and potato. Gives you home style burrito vibes. Not too big, but filling for the size. Tried out both green and red salsas. Both were good, but I'd choose the red over green in my opinion. They have a small outdoor sit down area, but might a bit noisy for some people as it is right off the main business street.“

The local community supports this small business, and so should the tourists who visit the Montebello surrounding areas. You will not be disappointed.“

“If you come to Sergio’s, you HAVE to get a wet burrito. They’re super delicious. Now I will say the cook who’s at the grill tends to matter a lot. Sometimes they have some of the younger crew running the grills and the food just doesn’t have that consistent quality. However, for the most part their wet burritos and Sopes overall are the hitters at Sergio’s. They’re so good. I’ve been coming here for over 10 years and I’ll keep coming back. If you’ve tasted Sergio’s on Garfield and Olympic it does not even compare, the Vail location wet burritos are a must try.“

“On our way home to San Diego with some friends who started talking about places they would frequent when they lived nearby. They were raving about the pastrami sandwich while we were stopped in traffic so I said you're making me hungry! Where is this place you're talking about?! Amazingly, the exit was the next one half a mile away! We crept 3 lanes over and made it. It truly was excellent! So jammed packed that I had to take the second half home. The chili cheese fries were delicious and the portions very generous that made it shareable. A new spot to visit when traffic is bad. When we got back on the 5 the traffic was flowing and our bellies were full.
Cant forget to mention the warm and hospitable lady, who has worked there over 30 years. Wish we had asked her name. She's certainly a treasure and an asset to the business.“

“Got 7 tacos, and a Gordita. Asada was ok, pollo was better, pastor was ok, cabeza and tripa were SO GOOD. Fish taco is $3.99, shrimp $4.99 and both the same size as a regular taco. I was a little concerned but after trying both, they’re worth every penny. The fish and shrimp tacos here were honestly the best, freshest fish and shrimp tacos I’ve had in a while.
