Lyu’s 吕记 is located above a supermarket, making it a little bit hard to find at first. The dining area is spacious and comfortable. The server is very friendly. The food is delicious, and the cold sesame noodles are tasty and refreshing for $8.99. The box lunches are pretty good, but the pan noodles are not that good as they are not handmade and can be a little undercooked. The Xiao Long Bao is also delicious. The popcorn chicken is a popular choice, with a big size. The House Special Beef Noodle Soup has a broth that is not at all heavy and not spicy, with doubanjiang flavor. The beef is incredibly tender and dripping with flavor, and the noodles are chewy. The portion is huge, definitely enough for two meals. The strawberry green tea is significantly bigger when dining in compared to ordering to go. The Pan Pan Fried Pork Bao and Pork Potstickers are good but standard. The beef roll has a delightful textural experience with perfectly sweet sauce and shredded meat for a better ratio. Service can be kind of lagged when busy, but the ambiance is decent. It is better and cheaper than Corner Beef for a beef noodle soup fix.
