“Glad to discover another nice Taiwanese restaurant around LA. Very hospital staff. The beef noodle soup is certainly their specialty - unique thick al dente noodles, very tender tendons (chunks of beef not so much), interesting broth with herbal accents. Impressed by their shrimp & pork dumplings - the pork portion was probably fulfilled by the filing of XLB on the menu, which made the dumplings very pleasantly juicy; just wished the wrapper were thinner. In all, don’t expect anything extraordinary, but great value and certainly above peers.“

“Went here for take out lunch boxes, food is good considering the price, and there’s a verity of items to pick from. It’s like a mini version of KangKang XiaoMei that was closed a while back. Only thing is that the server lady is usually at the back preparing/cooking, so you might not be attended to right away, sometimes might need to wait a little.“

“Cozy atmosphere, absolutely delicious food. The house beef noodles were the best noodles I have ever tasted. The serving was enough for 3 and cost only $13. The noodles were very long and hard to eat, though. There could've been a little more beef, though.“

“Hole in the wall, hidden gem, mom & pop vibes! they take card!
I can't get over these egg noodles in this wonton mein! seems like most places serve it up clumped together and you need to split your chopsticks to break them apart - BUT NOT HERE. they are silky and bouncy! and the soup is nicely flavored, enhancing everything in the dish. you also get four big wontons filled with plump shrimp and pork. I also love their hainan chicken, well seasoned, and the filet mignon has a nice kick.
Nice selection of traditional asian dessert options in individual serving sides (tofu pudding with ginger syrup, "che thai", ube tofu, etc.) and they also sell their wontons/dumplings frozen + noodles in packages.
parking is available on the street!
limited seating, but a lot of folks are doing takeaway!“

“Total hidden gem that I discovered (omg) 20 years ago. I have to say it's the closest you can get to authentic taiwanese food in Los Angeles. You will be sitting among loyal customers that visit at least a few times a week. The lady here is like an old friend and there is just her and the chef. There is usually never a wait and they open late. Check the hours before you go. One of our favorites in LA. Dishes we recommend include Taiwanese fried chicken, stinky tofu, and shrimp fried rice. All the stir fries are good. CASH Only.“

“Authentic Chaozhou noodles: rice noodles and egg noodles. Two main different ingredients and completely different textures.
1. Egg noodle:
chewy, tastes like a beautiful independent woman’s workday morning: refreshing and high energy.
2. Thick rice noodle:
Rich rice flavor that southerners grow up with. A flavor that running in their blood since they were born. Tastes like home and mommy.
The meat they put on my wonton noodle soup omg it’s sooooo good so flavorful so perfectly tender and chewy. I don’t know what it is maybe cha Shao?
3. Service & Atmosphere:
- You not here for birthday party so.
- If you speaking local dialect you will be treated like homie is really not because they are racism to anyone else is just because aunties work here only speak dialect and some English. So English should be fine flenz. (another way telling you how niche and authentic this place is)
Chaozhou food culture:
Chaozhou noodles focus on light, natural flavors. Dishes like Chaozhou vermicelli and egg noodle have a unique texture and are usually paired with fresh ingredients. The broth is often a mild bone or seafood-based soup.
I eat half of it with some white pepper, to just taste the broth the slight sweet flavor (without any of those diabetic sugar in those commonly seen Americanized Asian soup. my Asian taste buds are really not made for American’s sweet-everything-food industry okay? I hate it. Let’s be honest if one day an Asian immigrants like me become the president of United States the first law I’ll sign is put those shameless capitalist who kept adding sugar in everything in to jail.
So many things literally shouldn’t be sweet by adding sugar!!!“

“LA’s favorite Hunan dish. I think the ingredients are quite good. It’s really spicy when added spicy, but we all love it. Recommendations: Cumin mutton, stir-fried pork, preserved egg, eggplant and pepper, boiled series. I've ordered other dishes a few times, but I haven't been very impressed.“

“Food was decent better than some other Vietnamese places I've tried. I did like the rolls. One thing I didn't like was that they didn't turn the AC on and when you're in 100° weather I think if someone's paying for their food the least you could do is turn the AC on so that they can enjoy their meal. It's family owned so the family basically sat in the dining room chilling like it was their living room lol“
“I just came across this place by chance and got interested in ‘rice noodles’ and never had any dish from Guilin before. I was pleasantly surprised to find a gems of cuisine! The owners are super-friendly and especially generous condiment booth much more so than any restaurants I’d seen. Plus the price is super economical. Because of such pleasant personalities and exceptional services of the owner couple, it makes the ambiance so unique and very cozy to dine in. Not to mention the taste of the dish is great! I love the chewy round rice noodles that seems to be hand-made. It reminds me of simple noodles made laboriously I encountered in a remote village in Laos where they called it ‘Khao Pun’ made fro slightly fermented rice that was pounded, steam and pounded again so the texture is soft but chewy. It came in delicious meat sauce. I got pork belly and beef ribs. I was surprised that beef ribs were debone making it very pleasant to eat. This place is a rare find and I’ll be back to try other dishes again“

“Visited Ten Seconds Yunnan Rice Noodle for the first time this weekend and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The restaurant is located in the plaza on the corner of Atlantic and Garvey, with plenty of parking.
The menu is simple and straight forward. You start by choosing the desired soup base (bone broth, tomato, hot & sour, spicy) and then the protein offered under your desired soup base. If you wish to order additional toppings; there is a list of add-on you can pick from. The restaurant gives you the option to order using the QR code taped on the table or with the staff member. Soon after placing the order, they bring out the toppings to the dish, which consists of your desired meat, lettuce, generous portion of rice noodles, tofu, ham, green onion, seaweed, wood ear mushroom, corn, egg, etc. Lastly the soup base is served and you add the add all the toppings to your soup.
I ordered the tomato soup with sliced brisket; love the strong tomato flavor in the broth. If you are a tomato lover, this is the soup base to order.
Will definitely be coming back to try the other soup bases.“

“This charming hole-in-the-wall Vietnamese eatery is a true hidden gem. While the space may be modest, the flavors coming out of the kitchen are anything but. The menu is refreshingly simple, focusing on quality over quantity, and the prices are incredibly reasonable for the generous portions they serve. It’s the perfect spot for a quick, satisfying meal that doesn't break the bank.
The pho is a standout—rich, aromatic broth with layers of savory depth, paired with tender meat and perfectly cooked noodles. It’s the kind of dish that warms your soul and keeps you coming back. Their noodles are equally delightful, with just the right balance of chewiness and flavor. And don’t even get me started on the egg rolls! Whether you go for the light, fresh summer rolls or the golden, crispy fried egg rolls, each bite is a burst of authentic, well-balanced flavors.
The vibe of the place adds to its charm. It has an unpretentious, welcoming atmosphere that feels like a well-kept secret among locals. The cozy setting makes it an ideal spot for a casual lunch or a low-key dinner.
Honestly, I’m almost hesitant to share this review because I know it will only make the lunchtime lines longer—but this place is too good not to recommend! Whether you’re a Vietnamese food enthusiast or just looking for something hearty and delicious, this eatery is well worth a visit.“

“The house noodle is the thing to order here. Food is solid. The lady owner speaks Mandarin with a hint of a dialect that I can't identify.
Parking is in the back of the restaurant. The entrance doesn't face the street anyway. When you enter, there's a bunch of big tables that seem to be outdoors, but there's a high covering. Inside there is more seating.
When I went up to pay with credit card at the register, I noticed all the board games on the shelves. They had quite a collection.
Come here for solid numbing spicy noodle soup!“

“It's hard to find vegetarian/vegan Chinese food options, so this place has become a staple for me. We usually get the deep fried sesame chicken, pineapple fried rice, and some type of vegetable. They are all delicious and filling, we always have left overs! I drive from Torrance just to come here.“

“I would go to Mandarin Deli down on Atlantic about 3 min away for better quality food. We got the lamb with mushrooms, lamb was cut very thin and lots of connective tissue so still hard to chew. The sweet and sour pork was cut thin as well and very tough to chew. The XLBs are considerably smaller than Mandarin Deli, but they were juicy as they’re supposed to be. Spicy dumplings were acceptable but too little filling compared to dough. The only thing that was good was the beef wraps. Plenty of beef inside but again, Mandarin Deli is much better value and quality. Mama Lu is just too commercialized and I will NEVER order from here again. I just give 5 stars cause support Asian businesses.“

“I have mixed feelings because I’ve ordered 4 dishes from this place and 3 were fine but 1 was extremely bad. I ordered the you pao mian, sao zi mian, and the beef noodle soup and all of them were pretty decent. But the liangpi I ordered was extremely bitter. There’s another google review of this place where a lady ordered the liangpi and complained about it being bitter, and in the video she posted the chef came out to throw hands. I ordered the liangpi to see if she was right, and yeah she was. It was gross. How do you screw up liangpi? It’s so easy to make.
The service is great and all the folks who work here are pretty friendly.“
“This spot is my favored. I eat in many restaurants but to this restaurant I constantly return again and again. The team is very cordial and the cooking they offer is so appetizing. I would always prefer to have a decent dinner here. Highly recommended.“

“Fresh hand-made noodles are delicious here! You can see them making it when you come into the shop. There are 4 different ways to get the noodles: thin, regular, thick and knife cut. We got #13 and it was so good we cleaned out the soup bowl.
Depends on how much you can eat, but the bowl was enough for 4 people and we had side dishes like lamb dumpling (good not gamey), and beef rolls.
Don't order the potato shrimp rolls. Just don't
Table service is almost non-existent (2-stars). It's kind of like a cafeteria but not. So help yourself to more water, why not? Everyone was doing it. The tables are big for groups and has a casual feel to it. But the lack of table service will not deter me because it felt like a place where you can just walk around and not feel weird.
I don't think our waiteress spoke English. So I pretty much used hand gestures throughout our dining experience, until we found out we spoke a common Chinese dialect.
Parking: Park in the same plaza as ABC cafe or drive down the alley behind the restaurant for parking.“

“The taste is good and the service is okay. It's just that the boiled pig's blood and fatty intestines I ordered were packed, but when I got home, they were boiled fish and fatty intestines. When I packed it, I saw them flipping it back and forth with their chopsticks. I guess they knew they made a mistake, but didn't tell me. I'm too lazy to go back and change it. I hope I'll be more serious next time“

“This place is lowkey and so legit. We love getting the taiwanese purple rice rolls, pork buns, and hot tea (that tea is a steal ngl). There's enough menu items you can take your time exploring, or eat some tried and trues. Everything tastes made from scratch. Prices are affordable. The servers are so sweet and kind. Like what's not to love?? The majority of customers are Chinese speaking, but we got by fine with English XD Morning Summit is always the perfect way to start your day...arguably best breakfast place in town!“

“I just happened upon this place while shopping nearby. I came in because the pictures of fried noodles in the window looked good, but I ended up ordering more breakfast dishes; congee, shrimp rice noodle with egg, and scallion pancake. The menu looks like classic Hong Kong / Cantonese comfort food. It was all very good. I will definitely be back for more of that shrimp rice noodle and to explore the rest of the menu.“

“Best buns and dumplings in Southern California. They make wonders with flour and pork. They also don’t speak English, so I normally just point at the menu. Nothing is bad on the menu except the seafood. If you get something fried, try to dine in to get the texture right. If you get fennel buns, make sure you like the taste of fennel because there’s nothing subtle about that one. Pork and cabbage is the safest bet.“

“Very humble place, it's small and you shouldn't expect a extravagant presentation. But the food here is chef's kiss. Got the goat curry, chicken with this really nicely seasoned rice and a coconut soup dish. Really enjoyed my time and the flavors here.“
