Frozen dumplings are tasty, and the Henan-style braised noodles are authentic. The fish soup is warm, flavorful, and comforting, with tender fish slices, soft tofu, and the perfect balance of sourness and umami. Spicy beef noodle soup has a super great broth that is packed with flavor and not too salty. The cauliflower dish and Intestine tofu dish are spicy, so light or mild spicy eaters should ask for small spicy. Other highlights include fired green beans that are very flavorful and a Pumpkin Pie dessert that is like an air puff with thin flat mochi in the middle. Dishes are served hot in metal pans, with generous portions and bold, satisfying flavors. The owner is very nice, though the mood is not that good. Don’t expect egg rolls, rangoons, or fortune cookies—just authentic, quality flavor.
