“I’ve been coming for years since they first opened! I grew up in Mexicali, Mexico known for its famous Chinese/Mexican food.
I was married to a Chinese Taiwanese woman & made a beautiful child. I’ve been to Asia and pride myself on being one of the most open minded foodies out there, I love high end experiences as well as street food alike. If the food is good the food is good!
However I do pay close attention to details & quality of ingredients and most importantly to be honest is the ability to feel welcomed & cared for in a place, Dans modern Chinese checks all the boxes for me, I’ve brought my Mexican grandma to this place the same way I’ve brought my foodie Asian friends- to me this place is consistent & service is always their focus, I know a few of the people by their name and they know mine. I may go months ar at a time without visiting yet I always feel like a local and most beloved customer. So thank you Dan modern Chinese!“

“FANTASTIC Thai food! We have lived in the area for 8 years and recently decided to give BTC a try. The food is fresh, very good portions, every dish was superb (we particularly loved the fried rice and egg rolls). We will definitely be putting this restaurant into our regular rotation. “I’ve been back a few times since my last visit, and I have to say they are much better after the rebranding. The tsukemen is just as good, if not better than before, and the prices are way more affordable now.

I always ask for my tsukemen broth to be extra hot, and it hits every time. Big shoutout to Cici and Michael as well. They helped us out the other night and were awesome.

Service has been smoother, the quality is consistent, and overall it feels like they’ve really stepped it up. I’ll definitely be back again soon.“

“Had the pho chay (vegetable pho) with vegetable broth and the vegetable vermicelli. Veggie pho broth was too salty in my opinion. My aunt thought so too. I did like they included many vegetables. Tofu could have had more in the pho.

The vegetable vermicelli was better. Could have used a little more fish sauce. Lots of veggies.

Guy was power washing the front of the floor of the restaurant while we were there which made it hard to converse. Would suggest they do it not during opening hours or not when customers are dining as quite distracting.“

“I ordered the red pumpkin chicken curry (unique menu item), steamed chicken dumplings, Thai tea. The quality and quantity was 10/10, flavor was great, service was quick, and decent pricing. And the rice was shaped like a flower, so cute!

This restaurant is near vroman’s bookstore- fun lunch or dinner spot after checking out some books or running errands at target across the street.“
