“Been coming here for as long as I can remember - I suppose as long as this iteration has existed. The H.Way Frontier is a place you’re introduced to early on if you’re below the line film crew in Burbank running with a rigging or art dept./set Dec crew. This storefront carries on the tradition as I’ll often bump into fellow industry crew here.
All that stuff is well and good but the real reason we congregate here is THE FOOD. There are other good Chinese restaurants in LA but this place to me is by far the best. Consistently wonderful, delicious, very good portion sizes and a nice menu variety. It’s quick (15 minutes or less) and the lunch specials are a great deal. I’m not usually this gushy about anything but Frontier Wok Too deserves every bit of praise I can throw at it. If my family is in the mood for Chinese Food there’s only one choice for us and that is right here. With no traffic it’s still a 20 minute drive one way but it’s worth every minute once we’re sitting down to eat it. You can’t go wrong at Frontier Wok Too. If you haven’t tried it you simply must and you can be the judge.“

“My partner and I have come to consider this our spot in Burbank. It’s always nice to come here when I’m in town. Delicious, affordable, and comfortable. I’m a vegetarian, and I’ve been able to order something different every time I’ve gone. Nothing I didn’t like! I also enjoy getting to refill my metal water cup at the table or ordering hot tea and refilling that little cup with the teapot. It’s the little things.“

“The first thing we liked was the ability to join the wait list when we were driving to the restaurant, and we are so glad we did because we were starving. The place is small but the food packs a big punch. Everything was so good. We had 2 of the soft shelled crab appetizer, I had the Hungry roll, my wife had the avocado roll, outstanding!!Service was excellent. The edamame was over cooked but very flavorful. The prices are pretty standard and so worth it. Join the wait list, it gets crowded quickly due to its small size and great food.“

“The food was great, service was great . however one of the workers up front was causing a disturbance while I was ordering my food , not professional AT ALL I asked if everything was ok and cashier just apologized. Even thought the cashier apologized I still find it unacceptable that this altercation even happened in the first place. It was really embarrassing to watch and I hope that no ones is fired or blamed but hope that the co workers of the older lady can help try and be more polite.“

“Visiting Burbank for the first time with my sister, we decided to try Silverlake Ramen, and we’re glad we did!

As soon as we walked in, we were warmly greeted and given the option of where we’d like to sit. The restaurant has a cute, relaxed atmosphere that made us feel comfortable right away.

We both ordered the ramen combo. I had the Classic Ramen with fried gyoza, and my sister ordered the Classic Ramen with a pork bun. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and really hit the spot. The staff also checked on us throughout our meal, which made the experience even better.

Overall, we really enjoyed both the food and the service. We’d definitely come back the next time we’re in the area!“

“Pretty good! The dan dan noodle tasted great. The wonton soup was okay and the beef roll was a little lacking on meat. The Taiwanese sausage seemed a bit small for $7 but was pretty good.

Overall very reasonable prices and the food is pretty decent.“

“Totally worth the 70 minute drive. Delicious food and great Taiwanese hospitality. Friendly, attentive staff and wonderful atmosphere. Minced Pork (Lu-Rou) Rice, fully loaded delicious stewed pork with egg. Meats are juicy and tender, kinda on the sweet side. Clamshell bun (Gua Bao) comes with tender thick cut pork, a bit on the salty side, but very well cooked. Fatty but not greasy. Thousand layer pancake with egg and basil was crispy and flaky. The basil flavor is a wonderful addition. Scallion bread sandwich was what we expected. Same tender thick cut pork, very happy to eat this. Next time I will probably get the beef, too much pork belly today Wonton soup is very classic, if you like shrimp wontons, you have to try this. We ended the meal with Hakka mochi and Oolong tea, the mochi tasted just like the ones in Taiwan. The tea was fragrant and is just the perfect compliment to the mochi. Overall an amazing meal with warm and friendly people, highly recommend!“

Yangzhou Restaurant is almost always overflowing with diners, but honestly, the wait is worth it every single time. I decided to post a review after reading Chelsea’s ridiculously unfair review. I completely disagree with her negative attitude. This place is wonderful and the staff are fantastic. I also appreciated the owner’s response explaining the soft opening and the permitting process for alcoholic beverages.

“A small, local hole in the wall for sure, tho it's just across irving middle school 🤩 I'm born and raised in Glendale, and I hate that I didn't notice this place sooner, as it's a bit hard to spot on the main street while driving.

My husband and I came for lunch. We ordered the Special pho and beef pho, which was about 18$ and 17$ with tax, and a thai tea. All were delicious, and portion size matched the price point 🫶🏽 I couldn't finish all of mine, but husband gobbled his down quick

The restaurant is quaint and the space small but not tight. There was plenty of seating indoors, and kept cool in the summer heat 👍🏼

“Broth was delicious. The deep umami and subtlety of clam notes made the ramen stock special. Adding the sides they offer like, garlic crisps, were a plus. However, in my opinion, I felt like the ramen noodles did not give the dish its 100%. My partner said it was good overall and I am just slightly nitpicking due to personal preferences of noodles, which were too dense to my liking. I felt like the noodles took away the broth’s complexity rather than a nice balance. At the end I just kept drinking the soup. The chashu pork was tender and not dry at all.

Aside from the ramen, the appetizers such as the karaage, were crunchy and slightly juicy on the inside. The takoyaki was also nice as well.

Overall, the vibe of the restaurant felt cozy and modern, yet I wish they could have played some music to add a little more atmosphere. Service was prompt and quick.“

“Amazing vegan ramen with great flavors. There's something for everyone here! The signature ramen with gyoza comes with a smokey flavor that was delightful. I particularly loved the yuzu sesame ramen. The curry ramen was perfect for my mom who likes Indian flavors, the garlic miso ramen is great for garlic lovers and the spicy miso is great for those who like spice! Will definitely come back!“

“The Pho is enough for 2 people and it's delicious! We have had both the chicken and the Wagu beef. Also, the rice plates with fried rice and either Wagu beef or spicy pork is really good. We get one of each (Pho and rice plate) and share. We are quite full and satisfied when we finish! And the prices are very reasonable.“

“This is absolutely our favorite go to restaurant whenever we visit LA. A must stop for us. Living in CA and then moving to MN, we always crave for the noodles here. We visit every 2-4 years and the soups and noodles have always been consistent. The flavors are truly astonishing! We took my parents to visit last week again, and we stopped there 3X! “Ambiance: a bright, clean, nicely adorned establishment, with a striking painting as a feature wall...the wait and serving staff definitely contributed to the overall ambiance... Service: as with the many other reviewers, our experience was very similar with respect to the service, as our server was knowledgeable, friendly, competent, helpful, and attentive...did I say friendly...definitely one of the elements we will take away from the evening... Food: on the recommendation of our server, who was very helpful, knowledgable, friendly, and attentive, we ordered the Takoyaki and our server's favourite Spicy Garlic Pork Shoyu Ramen x 2. The latter was described as a "spicy soy sauce tonkatsu broth with garlic is served with two slices of chashu pork, bean sprouts, bamboo shoots, egg, fried onions, seaweed, green onions, and buttered corn". I absolutely love ramen, and, to me, what defines any bowl is the soup base, described by a very learned chef as "an intensely porky, opaque pale broth with a sticky-lipped intensity, with the rich, buttery texture of light cream; the best sports tiny nubbins of fat swimming around on their surface, a slick of mayu (black garlic oil) or chile-sesame paste, a handful of thin-sliced green onions, a soft-yolked soy-sauce tinged egg, and a few slices of meltingly tender chashu pork belly". The broth definitely reflected the events described, and the many hours spent in preparation, with a rich texture and flavour, complemented, but not over-powered by either the chili nor the garlic. It was a wonderful recommendation that we would order again! All in all, the evening that left us very satisfied in terms of having our hunger sated, and taste buds quite happy... the true test is whether we return, and, should we find ourselves back in the city, we would most definitely make a return trip to try other dishes!!“

“I came in an hour before the store closed. As soon as I walked in, the waitress was very nice. She let me know that it was self seating.I've never been to a ramyun place and honestly, I would recommend it. I got everything. The waitress recommended the rice cakes and a bowl of creamy ramyun with pork belly. “Ate here a few times now, my go to place when I feel like some jjajangmyon. Interior is clean and spacious. Order via the tablet setup on each table and water served by the bottle which is something different to other places. Very reasonably priced especially the jjajangmyon, and the food quality is also generally very good. We tried the fried dumplings, sa-cheon shrimp, jjajang fried rice and jjajangmyon. If there was one thing I'd give feedback about the food was that the jjajangmyon sauce was a little too thin and lacked a bit of seasoning.“
