Koi Kaze Ramen Bar is a cozy little ramen spot with a laid-back atmosphere. The food is absolutely superb, with everything from the spicy tuna bowl and Koi Tonkotsu Black Ramen to tonkatsu with curry rice being delicious. The Koi Tonkotsu Black Ramen is rich and creamy with a hefty amount of pork, and the broth has genuine thought and effort. The chashu is tender and falling apart, and the tuna is extremely fresh. The chicken and pork gyoza is fried perfectly. The soup is clean, without leaving anyone feeling swollen from MSG. The spicy garlic edamame and calamari are also enjoyable. Service is attentive and exceptional, offered at a reasonable price point. The lunch special comes with a full-size portion of ramen and an appetizer. Be prepared for a hearty and comforting meal.
