“This place just rips. The food is always amazing, the staff is always super nice, they have a cool menu and wild fun drinks. The vibe is on point, this place is an LA classic. I Truly don’t understand why this place isn’t completely slammed when I go, but I’m grateful I can always get a booth here.“

“Been wanting to try this place for a couple years now. Glad we finally did. Excellent food, much better than any Jinya Ramen. We had a bunch of appetizers. Indeed, their Takoyaki was amazing, Howard Yang! 😍 We had 2 seasonal specials, the Spicy Crispy Shrimp Roll and the cold Tan Tan ramen. Both were fantastic, albeit a bit too spicy for me. Service is super friendly. We will definitely be back. Want to try a bunch of other things, including the hot ramens.“

“Pretty good! The dan dan noodle tasted great. The wonton soup was okay and the beef roll was a little lacking on meat. The Taiwanese sausage seemed a bit small for $7 but was pretty good.
Overall very reasonable prices and the food is pretty decent.“

“Every time I go to this restaurant, even when it's packed, the service is always excellent. Yangzhou Restaurant is almost always overflowing with diners, but honestly, the wait is worth it every single time. I also really enjoy looking at the celebrity photos hanging on the walls; they infuse the restaurant with the classic charm of an old-school Chinatown eatery“

“The beef noodle soup was pretty good, it had large chunks of tender beef. The noodles were the best part super bouncy and fresh! The pork xiao long baos were also great, though the wrapping was a bit tougher and thicker than a normal xiao long bao. But the soup and meat are both packed with flavor. The chili oil on the table was not spicy pretty much just dried chili and oil. Service was great, overall enjoyable experience.“

“Came for a quick dinner bite. Food was tasty and service was efficient. Easy dine out option for kids. Curry ramen is unique, and actually goes well with the karaage. Egg yolk in ramen wasn't runny. Karaage sando was tasty and a good value.“

“One of the best Thai food I had in LA. We had a group of 9 and the servers were very accommodating to get us a table. The food was awesome- we ordered Pad Thai, Panang Curry, Box of Prawns, Rainbow rice, crusted Salmon and Hot Mermaid. The food came out quickly and the service was great.“

“A small, local hole in the wall for sure, tho it's just across irving middle school 🤩 I'm born and raised in Glendale, and I hate that I didn't notice this place sooner, as it's a bit hard to spot on the main street while driving.
My husband and I came for lunch. We ordered the Special pho and beef pho, which was about 18$ and 17$ with tax, and a thai tea. All were delicious, and portion size matched the price point 🫶🏽 I couldn't finish all of mine, but husband gobbled his down quick
The restaurant is quaint and the space small but not tight. There was plenty of seating indoors, and kept cool in the summer heat 👍🏼
Free parking is behind the building, fitting about 3-4 cars, as well as limited free street parking 👍🏼“

“This place is a hidden gem in Venice!! Great service and fantastic food. Had to get seconds cus it just was that good!! Best one is the spaghetti with pesto and buratta and also the ravioli spinach in bolognese sauce - pasta is made fresh and sauce is simply amazing. “What a pleasant surprise! I never expected to find Chinese food in Los Angeles that tastes just like it does back in China. The freshly hand-pulled noodles are perfectly chewy and full of texture, and every side dish is packed with authentic Chinese flavors. Everything tasted fresh, delicious, and comforting. This place truly brought me back to the flavors of home. Highly recommended, and I’ll definitely be coming back!“

“This place is such a hidden gem. The food was such a pleasant surprise. I got the Tingly Cumin Dry noodles, and they weren’t too oily or spicy at all (contrary to other reviews). We also got the Mama’s Dumplings which were definitely on the oilier side, but that’s due to the sauce which is made beforehand.
The noodles were so good that we had to get the Szechuan Garlic flavor to-go, but that soon was eaten within the same hour… Also the peach fruit tea is so refreshing and not too sweet.
If you’re worried about too much spice, don’t be. It’s the perfect amount.
And yes the cashier was very patient and helpful.“

“Got the red hot miso ramen. Possibly the best ramen I've had in my life. Had a nice tofu crumble that gives the broth a great texture that I've never experienced in vegan ramen before. Got the dumplings as a topping which was the correct choice. Updated from previous review on 2026-07-21“

“The full size beef soup is very small.
The tables are sticky which is not nice.
We were party of 3 They brought the beef soup first and after 10 minutes the chicken noodle. They need to serve all together.
What's the point??
Great workers“

“This is absolutely our favorite go to restaurant whenever we visit LA. A must stop for us. Living in CA and then moving to MN, we always crave for the noodles here. We visit every 2-4 years and the soups and noodles have always been consistent. The flavors are truly astonishing! We took my parents to visit last week again, and we stopped there 3X! A few days later back at home in MN and we are craving the soups already! Would definitely recommend this place.“

“Ambiance: a bright, clean, nicely adorned establishment, with a striking painting as a feature wall...the wait and serving staff definitely contributed to the overall ambiance... Service: as with the many other reviewers, our experience was very similar with respect to the service, as our server was knowledgeable, friendly, competent, helpful, and attentive...did I say friendly...definitely one of the elements we will take away from the evening... Food: on the recommendation of our server, who was very helpful, knowledgable, friendly, and attentive, we ordered the Takoyaki and our server's favourite Spicy Garlic Pork Shoyu Ramen x 2. The latter was described as a "spicy soy sauce tonkatsu broth with garlic is served with two slices of chashu pork, bean sprouts, bamboo shoots, egg, fried onions, seaweed, green onions, and buttered corn". I absolutely love ramen, and, to me, what defines any bowl is the soup base, described by a very learned chef as "an intensely porky, opaque pale broth with a sticky-lipped intensity, with the rich, buttery texture of light cream; the best sports tiny nubbins of fat swimming around on their surface, a slick of mayu (black garlic oil) or chile-sesame paste, a handful of thin-sliced green onions, a soft-yolked soy-sauce tinged egg, and a few slices of meltingly tender chashu pork belly". The broth definitely reflected the events described, and the many hours spent in preparation, with a rich texture and flavour, complemented, but not over-powered by either the chili nor the garlic. It was a wonderful recommendation that we would order again! All in all, the evening that left us very satisfied in terms of having our hunger sated, and taste buds quite happy... the true test is whether we return, and, should we find ourselves back in the city, we would most definitely make a return trip to try other dishes!!“
“They have a sign in front that advertises $7 chow mein, which totally got my friend. It was definitely a heaping portion still of noodles with a good Thai chili kick. I split it into two meals still (although I probably don’t eat a lot compared to a lot of people). A bit greasy and I wish there was more veg. It was savory but not overly salty.
I felt like it was missing a little bit of nuance in its sweetness but I can’t pin what was missing. There was definitely still MSG because I was thirsty after, so that’s not what it was missing.
The free bone broth is really refreshing (reminds me of sullungtang) and a good way to either start or end your meal.“

“The Pho is enough for 2 people and it's delicious! We have had both the chicken and the Wagu beef. Also, the rice plates with fried rice and either Wagu beef or spicy pork is really good. We get one of each (Pho and rice plate) and share. We are quite full and satisfied when we finish! And the prices are very reasonable.“

“The best ramen in Culver City! I first had Ippudo in New York over a decade ago went it was arguable the top ramen spot in the entire city. Since then I’ve had it in Tokyo and now am so glad to have here in Culver. The Akamaru Modern is still as excellent and balanced a bowl as it’s always been.“
“One of several new malatang places in the area, Bruin Bowl is not a large place, but they seem to have a solid selection of meats, veggies, noodles, and seafood despite their modest size. Both the bone broth and the chicken/fish maw soup bases are pretty tasty too. Excellent option if you're in the area.“
