“There was a 30 min wait that ended up being about 15 mins. Everything we ordered came out pretty fast and tasted amazing! The chicken dumplings were filling and comes with a tasty sauce. The Oxtail Noodle soup was delicate and tasteful as well! My favorite was Black Pepper Beef plate! I confirmed That’s what I smelled while walking past the restaurant on a previous day! 5 out of 5 stars“

“It was a decent place for a decent ramen. The price for the ramen and appetizer combo was great, only $20. We got two combos. The ramen itself was good, especially good considering the price but not the best ramen I have ever had. I also thought that they gave us very little protein in the ramen. I feel like at other places they give you more. The movie theater is right across the street so it is a perfect pairing for a movie night“

“Love a fully vegan spot, and this place has a big menu and all the charm of a cute ma-and pop-restaurant. Also lots of fun restaurants in the same parking lot with seating, so something for everyone if they aren’t a vegan believer.

As for the food, all freshly made and piping hot. Love that you can add fake meats to anything for not too much extra.

Only nit-pick was I wasn’t a fan of the fried rice (not enough tofu for my taste and a bit bland), but portion size was plentiful.

In a world of vegan restaurants closing left and right, it warms my heart to see a delicious and kitschy store make fresh and delicious vegan food!“

The Vietnamese coffees are incredible and the sandwich was better than I remember on my visit to Hanoi. The prices are reasonable and the atmosphere inside quite nice and now I know why this place is always packed! Want to come back for the noodle soup which look amazing.“

“This place served us authentic and delicious Thai dishes. The service lady was very nice and polite. We ordered a lot of food for lunch and they managed to bring them out on a good time even though there were a good number of customers. Massaman curry, pad Thai, pad sew ew, larb, fried rice, sticky rice with fresh mango, were all amazing delicious. The ceiling were decorated with colorful upside down umbrellas which made for some great pictures. Their prices were very reasonable.“

“One of several new malatang places in the area, Bruin Bowl is not a large place, but they seem to have a solid selection of meats, veggies, noodles, and seafood despite their modest size. Both the bone broth and the chicken/fish maw soup bases are pretty tasty too. Excellent option if you're in the area.“

“We had a great experience! I knew the food was going to be good as soon as the owner mentioned he also used to own a restaurant in Portland back in the days. And it was!

We ordered the green beans with tofu, chicken larb, crying tiger, tom yum soup, crab fried rice (real crab!!!), and mango sticky rice. You could really taste each dishes distinct flavor!

“First, I want to say that the restaurant is located in a beautiful area. Walking around the neighborhood was incredibly enjoyable and made the whole experience even better.

When it comes to the restaurant itself, I honestly don't have enough words to describe how amazing it was. I found out that the pasta is handmade rather than pre-made, and it's brought fresh from Italy every evening. That surprised me and made dining there even more special.

The pasta I ordered was prepared with white wine. The portion looked a bit small at first, but it was very filling and absolutely delicious.

I would also like to give special recognition to the manager. She was incredibly kind, welcoming, energetic, and made us feel comfortable throughout our visit. We were even treated to a delicious pasta that wasn't yet on the menu, which was such a thoughtful gesture. I will definitely come back just for that pasta!

Everything was excellent—the atmosphere, the people, the food, and the service. I highly recommend this restaurant to everyone.

+ Dan Mien with short ribs was good. Noodles were chewy, beef was well seasoned.

- Sesame noodles were terrible. Texture was similar to plaster of paris and taste was off. It could be that I'm used to toasted sesame oil and this was just (untoasted?) sesame.

+ Pan-friend dumplings were tasty. Texture was great -- love crispy exteriors and soft interiors.

* Daughter loved the boba tea. I thought it was just average -- fine but no outstanding flavors. Give me Sunright any day over this (or any other!) boba.“

“Been wanting to try this place for a couple years now. Glad we finally did. Excellent food, much better than any Jinya Ramen. We had a bunch of appetizers. Indeed, their Takoyaki was amazing, Howard Yang! 😍 We had 2 seasonal specials, the Spicy Crispy Shrimp Roll and the cold Tan Tan ramen. Both were fantastic, albeit a bit too spicy for me. Service is super friendly. We will definitely be back. Want to try a bunch of other things, including the hot ramens.“

“I’ve been to Taiko various times and have always left extremely happy and satisfied! I actually celebrated my birthday dinner here. Their sushi, rolls, and sashimi are extremely fresh and well made. I am obsessed with the baked crab roll, and everyone at my birthday loved it, too! The Hamachi Kama is super nice and tasty, so is the ramen (the picture is what I served myself from my dad’s bowl, the actual dish has a very generous portion!!) My dad would also like to note that they have the COLDEST beer in town. The servers are all super nice and are always very happy to see me again. Overall it’s a great spot for either a casual dinner or to celebrate :D“

Sadly, it does not work as well in all locations - our visits to the Pasadena location always led to disappointments. Worse: many communications were exchanged, which led nowhere (and we never went again). I highly recommend this particular UOVO. Why "only" four out of five stars then? I do n to like to be bullshitted. They strive that they are a "no-tipping" restaurant as they properly pay their employees - which sounds amazing, in every aspect. Then they charge you an extra 16% "fee". C'mon guys. No one likes to be bullshitted. You offer an excellent deal for Wonderfull food. If you like to keep the "no-tip-strategy" raise food and drinks by a dollar or two. No one would complain.“

“Great Cantonese restaurant! My family has been coming to this restaurant for many years and the food is delicious and cooked like in Hong Kong. We had filet mignon and asparagus, sea food chow mein, Peking duck, snow pea leaf and mixed vegetables - mushroom, bok choi, fried tofu, bean sprouts, and broccoli (vegetarian dish). This place has a lot of old clientele, and tbe food is delicious.“

“This is omakase as it is meant to be. The freshest fish, prepared with care, and served in a minimalist but friendly and welcoming environment. This isn’t pretentious, place to be seen sushi, and it’s not for cool points, it’s just good people making a great meal. Given the quality of fish, it’s worth the price and then some.

They stayed open late for a 1-person party and I had just the best experience. Chef Shin is a real one, and Jun gives friendly prompt service. Best miso soup I’ve had, and the menu was well considered and perfectly executed.
