“I absolutely love this place! I came in for the Pad Tai and it was very delicious. But their Tom Kha is freaking fire! The Chicken Mushroom Curry Soup is to freaking die for, I got the large with extra chicken and I've died and gone to heaven! Definitely making this my local Thai spot moving forward. Excellent customer service and easy ordering online for pick up.!“
“We've been watching the 5th season of TOC, and it encouraged us to finally visit, and we were not disappointed. Food is freshly served, delicious, and every bite was tasty. Service was excellent. They were friendly, helpful, and attentive. We'll definitely be returning, Cheeseburger dumplings were our favorite. And the passion fruit yogurt smoothie was exceptional.Parking: We parked across the way parking was $2 for the entirety of our meal, so it was completely reasonable.“
“Hinge find someone!!! Sam, I’m not sure if you can find me, this is only way maybe I can find you, we made a date for lunch in this restaurant, sorry I deleted my account yesterday???I really miss you I wish I can find you. Maybe we can call the restaurant let it can connect us each other. I called this restaurant help me to find you. And if you also wanna see me, you can call the restaurant to connect me!! ???“
“As usual, I ordered the Guilin rice noodle soup with 1/4 of the added salt. Chef honored my request and the food was perfect. Simple decor, fast service, clean operation, no tip charge, inexpensive/delicious food. Consider the best Chinese food & value in the westside!“
“I finally came here on Wednesday this week and I am hooked. Been back 3 times this week already. The cumin soup first and second time having was smooth and clear enough to enjoy the entire thing. However I will say the people working Saturday afternoon shifts made the soup this time around way too oily, couldn’t even enjoy the soup. I think the staff should know the standard in quality and have a consistency throughout -otherwise it’ll be hit or miss just with the consistency of the soup. Or maybe be specific in terms of telling them less spice oilThe noodles are however cooked and pulled to perfection.“
“The ambience is great! Very nice and homey spot. The staff was very kind too. We ordered a bit of everything.Pros:Prices are very good for all the dishes. Nothing was over 15 dollars on the menu. The shrimp wontons and pan fried pork buns were the best items with the most flavor. The beef roll was huge in size. Great for people that enjoy cucumber and thicker slices of the meat. The bean curd salad had a nice bite and flavor to it. They also have sparkling water on tap!Cons:Parking is bad. Getting street parking is like winning the lottery. The other option is to pay for parking which can range between 10-30 dollars. The dan dan noodles and sha gua mian did not meet our expectations. The noodles seemed a bit overcooked and a sauce/acid could have given the dish more of a balance in flavor. Our table marker was taken off the table a little early and that's when we saw on the receipt that a missing item was added incorrectly. Our server fixed it promptly so that was great.“
“Susuru holds a special place in my heart. I’ve tried a number of items on their menus and everything is ???. I can’t stress enough about how good this ramen is. I’ve only known about Susuru for a month or so but have eaten here over 8 times. All of the broths are rich and authentic. The Thai coconut curry ramen is mind blowing and a generous serving. My go tos are the Miso and Tonkatsu. Add spice for extra flavor. I brought my coworkers here and everyone’s bowls were finished down to the last drop of broth. Easily one of the best ramens shops in LA. It’s got a great mom and pop atmosphere. Food comes out quick. What else can I say, I’m in love with Susuru. Anytime I want ramen in the future, I’m going to come here. Just thinking of it makes my mouth water. ?“
“We really liked the food! Both got noodles, one street noodle with chicken and one pad see ew with chicken. Prices are super reasonable and the food tastes good, especially compared to some of the other options in the area. Excited to try more of their food. Chill music and good service. Nice casual option.“
“I came here a long time ago when the restaurant was still pretty new. this place offers curry dishes - ramen, rice, etc. we got the curry ramen and Keema noodle. both were decent, however I'm not a big curry fan, so the dishes were a little too heavy and rich for me. It's pretty comparable to other ramen restaurants in sawtelle but this place specializes in curry so if you're a fan of that I would recommend!“
“Amazing superb customer service! I would actually hope so for this space having limited seating.Note: if you feel like trying more than one main dish split it (ex:pho) and you’ll have a solid amount of food, they are not stingy about their splitsBanh mi was delish and packed high! They get their bun from a bakery in Los Angeles.Spicy garlic tofu bites were good. Their homemade chili oil was good too!Pho was solid just wish they had a different type of noodle and didn’t cut it up so much when splitting. The noodles were so short and they were hard to grab with the chopstickMetered parking on Montana and it’s right next to the dry cleaners near the cornerVegetarian options: They have options that’s just veggies onlyParking: Paid Street meter parking“
“Xiao long bao is excellent. Beef noodles are flavored just right. Beef is very tender. Noodle texture is perfect. Braised pork belly is very yummy. One suggestion is to slice the pork belly thinner. It's hard to eat a large chunk and get all the layers.“
“I actually really like these noodles. Different than ramen. Noodles and broth served separate. Dip the noodles. Dip dip dip. I like that. The pork is tender and the soy egg is delicious. The serving is pretty good. It’s expensive for what you get but it’s good. You’ll like it. Trust me.“
“Feels like a modern trendy hip pho spot that totally passes the vibe check. We were greeted as we came in even during the busy dinner time.Sat at one of the booths with space to have a stroller next to us without being in the way for others. The staff are super friendly with awesome ink tats and just super chill.I ordered the #4 pho with streak and brisket which was yummy, next time I will for sure get a large. We got 2 orders of the #30 the minced pork and veggies egg rolls which were delicious and gone as quickly as they came.Huge dinning area with a modern rustic open kitchen décor.Needed to stay up so I got me a Vietnamese coffee which was on point. Can’t wait to come back to try other things off the menu.Parking: Big parking lotKid-friendliness: Able to fit a stroller next to our table“
“Compared to a few years back this street food spot has gained a few more food stalls to neighbor it. There is now a bbq meet place, a salad and fresh foods place and a dessert one. I got three plates, one pad Thai, one pork fried rice and one of their new ground pork with egg dish. Pad Thai is good as always, fried rice was lacking flavor as before but they have seasoning for you to use. Their ground pork with egg was so good but holy crap it was spicy. It did have a good spice though I recommend it.“
“We got seafood kalguksu, sujaebi and bossam. They were all SO good! This is now one of our favorite restaurants in town.Note: The valet parking is $4. We were charged $10 because they saw us come from outside the parking lot. We ate at Hangari and went for a walk. The valet guy was rude about it and said they were going to charge extra for not picking up the car after dining. We obviously didn't know about it. I know it's not the restaurant fault but it would have been nice if they mentioned it.Parking: $4 for valet parking. Extra charge if you don't pick up your car right after dining.“
“Visited Uovo in Studio City for the first time and tried their tasting menu. The truffle pasta was amazing, seriously good. The pomodoro was just okay, didn't impress much. But the Tiramisu? Wow, I'm not even a big fan of Tiramisu and it left me speechless. Worth a visit for sure.“
“After seeing some vids about how great the mul naeng myun is here, I had to come try with my family. My sister and I got the mul naeng myun and my grandma got the sagol dduk mandu guk (ox bone soup with rice cake and dumplings). The broth of the naeng myun was clear and crisp, but a little bland, I had to put in a lot of the mustard paste and vinegar to increase the flavor. Overall, I liked the thinness and texture of the noodles, but the flavor of the soup was nothing too out of the ordinary. The banchan though... deserves a standing ovation. The side dishes were fresh, well seasoned, and Korean grandma approved. I think I preferred my grandma's rice cake soup to my naeng myun, but I would be willing to come back and try their other dishes. We got a pajeon (chive pancake) on the side as well, which was crispy and came with a lovely soy sauce on the side. The waitresses were also very attentive and kind. The restaurant was nearly empty when we walked in for a late lunch on a weekday. Overall a great experience :)“
“Incredible food! Wonderful welcoming service and food was quickly delivered. Chic and fun atmosphere, and very clean. Everything was so good, but make sure to also ask for the garlic chili oil and chili powder if you want to kick up the spicy and garlic flavor a notch! I loved the basil flavor of the spicy fried rice, and the sweet and spicy flavor of the spicy garlic noodles! Everything is vegan but you would never guess it based on how freaking yummy everything is!“
“The food was so authentic it stunned my mom. I've never seen her so pleasantly surprised by a restaurant. It's hard to find dishes like Liangpi and Big Plate Chicken outside of China, and even if you can the flavors are often diluted. The noodles here were perfectly chewy, the stew in the BPC was rich and thick (rivaling Dolan's even). And the prices aren't bad at all. We'll be coming here again, and exploring their other locations too.“
“Loved this place! Super fresh ingredients and very friendly staff. Ordered the Nam Tok Salad, the Chicken Pad Kee Mow (Drunken Noodles) and the Isaan Larb Kua. Everything was really tasty and the server was great about explaining the spice levels. The Nam Tok and the Isaan Larb Kua were especially delicious because of the use of lime juice -- that tangyness paired with the spiciness and the savoriness in both dishes was a winning combo. In terms of spice level, I'd say that I usually like spicy food and handle it well, and the Medium was just right. There are additional chili sauces available if you want to dial it up a little bit. Very generous portions and I was honestly quite stuffed. The price is also ridiculously low and I have to say this is one of the most amazing value Thai places I've ever been too -- the pad kee mow was $12.99 for the chicken version!! They were making pickled chilis on one of the side tables, which is one sign you know this place is legit -- when they make their sauces and condiments from scratch, by hand. Really looking forward to my next visit here.“
“My fav Thai noodle spot in LA quaint and unassuming. Located in the retail strip between arbys and bronson studios. Very tastey authentic thai/laos style dishes. You can't go wrong adding crispy pork to some of the dishes where that's an option. Thank you for the wonderful food, and friendly/attentive service.“
“This was the last place my husband and I visited while in LA. Because of the location I was scared the food was going to be trash or that the restaurant would be so nasty that I wouldn’t want to eat there. However, this place was a pleasant surprise! Yes, it was a little rundown and outside there was a lot of garbage and old furniture but inside was clean although it was older, it was still very clean. The food was absolutely delicious! This is one of those those places that I wish that we had in my hotel. It’s a little mom and pop hole in the wall spot but their food packs of mighty punch and the service does too! The staff was very sweet and accommodating. If you’re in LA or nearby, I would definitely recommend for a good pho“
“Pretty chill noodle place, food came out pretty quick and was good with a really solid portion size. However, we came in with a group of 6, and it may be their rules, but I found it frustrating that there weren't that many people in the restaurant but we couldn't put 2 tables together to make a larger table for our group, eventually after asking a few times we were able to move to a larger table where all 6 of us could sit together. Pretty cheap parking here as well, overall would go back but maybe in a smaller group.“
“Overall experience it was good! The wait wasn’t too long. I think we came around the lunch time rush hour on a weekday with 40min wait?Dipping sauce was good and creamy. I was so full afterwards! Worth trying it again. The pricing was on a higher side.I also got the iced matcha. I really didn’t like it. It tasted like powered matcha poured with ice cold water. Highly don’t recommend getting the drink. Wasted my money.Paid street parking only. Paid $2 street parking for max 2 hour parking.“
“My beef noodle spot for a couple of years now. I have to visit once a week if possible and I'm in Long Beach and have yet to find a better place in sevetal years! Highly recommended and their other food is amazing as well. I just can't get over how good the soup is so that's what I get every time now. It might seem like a strange location but don't let that stop you and you can thank me later. Enjoy“
“I ordered the chicken ramen, comes with seaweed, boiled egg, corn, green onions and your choice of protein. I thought the ramen was very good. Only issues were there is no complimentary parking so you have to pay for valet which is 6$. With the already expensive ramen be prepared to spend about 40-50$ for two people.“
“The 2024 Smorgasburg season kicked off today, 1/14/2024! While it is not close to me, I usually go at least once or twice a month. It's an ideal spot for outdoor dining with diverse culinary offerings, exploring distinctive shops, and soaking in a positive atmosphere.Smorgasburg LA is open every Sunday on the five-acre site of the weekday Alameda Produce Market in Downtown Los Angeles, which is part of a larger, new development called ROW DTLA.Each Sunday from 10 AM - 4 PM, you will find dozens of exciting food vendors plus sophisticated shopping from the realms of design, craft, style, vintage, wellness, and more. Cultural events, pop-ups, and other surprises transform the vast site into a new node in Downtown LA's burgeoning scene, and a unique destination for the area.Today, I tried Pad See Ew from the Radna Silom vendor. In terms of rating for that, I want to give it 4.5 stars due to price and portion ($15+tax and not much on the plate). I remember it being larger before.Overall, it is a must-check out for various foodie options.Tip:-Free 2 hr parking-Take your food outside of the main space and sit in the main ROW area-Go with others to try many things“
“One of our favorite Hollywood restaurants!! A hidden gem not to miss. Authentic thai cuisine at very reasonable prices.Have eaten for a couple decades in Thai Town but only went to Siam Sunset a few years ago. This was the first place I've ever eaten pad kra pao & it has become my favorite Thai dish! And Siam easily makes it the best!Only knock is there's no on site parking, but street parking is usually not too tough depending on the day. Still it's worth the walk.Would give it six stars if it were possible.“
“We came here on a whim, after finding The Daily Outpost mysteriously closed on a Friday evening. Umigame is so good! Everything, from the poke bowl, salmon teriyaki, brussels sprouts, and edamame, were perfect! High quality food beautifully prepared. Very good service also. We will definitely be back.“
“It was my first time dining at Thai Central. It is a gem in East Hollywood for a Thai food. The food is very tasty. We ordered a few things, Kao Clook Ka phi, Boat noodle, and Papaya salad - the was delicious. And awesome service - from getting our order in and getting the food from the kitchen to our table. I like the cleanliness of the restaurant. We dropped the lid of something on the floor , and the server took the lid from us, he cleaned it and brought it back - impressive. Very nice and friendly servers, great food!“
“Food is good. There are a few veggie choices for vegans. Ttempura vegie dish. We got vegan ramen. One bowl is plenty for 2. The waitress is pretty and very timely. The lighting is what drew us in. We tried to go into other restaurants with extremely white light and felt like we were waiting to be asked 'who dun it?' The lighting and wood walls are warm and comfortable.“
“low-key authentic Korean restaurant. The ahjumma was so nice to us!Food is great:banchan (side dishes) - lots of variety! I liked the seaweed, fish cake, kimchi radish, and bean sprouts.Specials #13 seafood pancake $19.99 - Good. Not overloaded with green onions. The sauce that came with it could have been saltier.Specials #9 chicken stew $25.99 - spicy! Chicken was cooked well. Lots of potatoes. The small bones are annoying.#22 stone pot bibimbap $14.99 - tasty. The ahjumma brought out a bowl of gochujang filled to the top. It was good and not too sweet.#9 chewy spicy noodles $13.99 - delicious. I'd get this again. Came with a soft boiled egg.Specials #12 stir-fried squid $24.99 - I'd get this again too. The rice cake was eh, but the squid was good. Not too spicy.Prices are a bit high, but so is everywhere else right now. The menu is extensive but has some solid favorites. They have a small parking lot in this plaza, so it wasn't hard to find at 7 PM on a week night. Typical of a local Korean joint, they post menu items with prices on the walls. Even better - they have pictures of the food!“
“The portions are generous and the hearts are plentiful! This restaurant has everything! The owner was really friendly, so I felt good the whole time I was eating it. The chicken kalguksu soup was rich and not too salty, which I liked. My friend had seafood kalguksu, and there was a lot of seafood, and the soup was clear and rich!! The red bean kalguksu is really delicious, so I definitely recommend it.“
“Best Ramen in Silver Lake. The broth is uncious and satisfying. If you have no allergies, get the egg (I add dried seaweed as well). Large servings even at the smaller portion price point. Inside dining is tight, but outside heating does the trick.“
“Our dinner at Uovo set a new standard for authentic Italian pasta for us. We recently visited Italy and have had pasta on our brains (and in our hearts, and in our stomachs) for months now. Visiting Uovo, despite the fact that we were in Southern California, brought all of our sensibilities back to Italy. Every dish we got was delicious. It's their main thing, but in case you're not aware, the pasta is made in Bologna, Italy and shipped to them every day...so it just doesn't get much more authentic than that.My wife and I shared the tasting menu so we could try all of the vegetarian options, including Caco e Pepe, Pomodoro, and Tagliatelle in truffle sauce. All three were perfect and were my budget and waistline to allow, I would eat any of these every day.The tasting menu came with a small arugula salad, and Tiramisu which we also shared and which were great. The place is intimate...we ended up being seated at the bar. They don't take reservations, which is, on one hand refreshing as you know you're always going to have a fair shot of getting a table as anyone else...but, of course, that means wait times could be long. (But put your name in and they'll text you so you can wander around Santa Monica while waiting.) They do have tables but it's really the luck of the draw based on when you put your name in and what comes up first.Anyone who loves authentic Italian pasta dishes (or who yes yet to realize you love them) will find the very best of those here.“
“We ordered Potato Gnocchi and received this. I’m no Italian but I could tell Gnocchi and Penne apart. And from the picture, evidently it was dry, it definitely needed more sauce. I know it was a Saturday but you could’ve at least got the order right. 3 stars because it tasted decent. The Mushrooms and Veggies were additional $5 bucks.Update: Owner contacted back, you don’t see that very often, very politely apologized for the mistake and offered to make up for it. We appreciate this hospitality. 5 stars for the service. Not a lot of businesses offer it. Thanks Fabio!“
“This is probably the most popular place to get your lunch at from students and faculty at El Camino College. Every meeting I'm at around lunch time I see someone eating from Mr. H. I really love their spamasubi and their miso soup. It reminds me of my high school days when people would sell spamasubi from their backpacks. The place has a few tables and chairs to sit on if you are looking to dine in or wait for your food. Cool thing about their service too is they have a buzzer for when your food is ready. Sometimes it takes a little long to get the food to come out but it's always hot and ready to eat when they do.“
“It’s a unique take on ramen, good depth of flavor, great noodles, but for me the truffle dominates and the richness of the soup is too buttery. Like it for something new, but I prefer a more traditional take. I like truffle and I have had a dozen bowls in Tokyo. I was expecting the price, but at the end of the night it felt too steep.“
“We sat at the communal table and enjoyed looking at the aesthetically pleasing feasts our neighbors ordered! We shared a bento box with fresh sashimi, crispy tempura, and warm side meats served with colorful condiments. Once we placed our name on the waitlist, we enjoyed a stroll until our number was called. The portions are generous, and the atmosphere is friendly, both from guests and servers. Next time, we will order the soups and noodle combinations.“
“The food was tasty, and the staff were kind. The half-sized tempura udon was perfect for me; I wasn't super hungry at the time and don't usually eat a lot anyway, so it filled me up without leaving me feeling stuffed.Came here while waiting for doors to open for a show at the Largo. I got there relatively early, just after 6pm, which turned out to be good because it seemed like they filled up with all of the theatre-goers who were evidently also waiting for doors open.I had a bit of a wait after I ordered, maybe around 10-15 minutes, max. One of the servers saw me looking around and proactively told me it was because they were making all of the udon orders together; I appreciated how attentive they were, to notice that I was wondering about my order. I didn't mind the wait too much anyway, because I needed to fill the time until 7pm.“
“This is located in the food court on the 2nd floor at the corner. There's signs and banners that point to this location. Great home-style Korean comfort food. I got the tteokbokki and pork cutlet, and both were excellent in my opinion. I personally liked the more home-feeling taste of the rice cakes.“
“Amazing delicious food and the best customer service!! The food has so much flavor and you can tell it's made fresh when you order it. I've gotten noodles and sandwiches here and everything is always so good. The drinks are delicious as well. The owner is hands down the best owner ever, such a genuine and kind soul. We will absolutely be back again and again!“
“Been wanted try but always ended at regular Mountain cafe. Wanted try soybean broth cold noodle since saw the menu banner because never seen it elsewhere in LA.It was good and portions of the foods were so generous. Kimch was really tasty. Definitely will be back for another dishes.“
“We decided to give this location another try and we were blown away by all of the delicious meals they prepared. The shrimp pad see ew was flavored to perfection. The crab fried right was just right and the spicey fried rice was balanced with the right amount of heat. You can always request the kitchen to turn up or turn down the spice level according to your taste buds. Try the lychee martini, you will thank me later. The service was five-star from the moment we walked in. We were greeted with a warm welcome and our waitress made sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our dining experience. The restaurant is small and intimate, perfect for a local date night. We had a great time guys, thank you and we will see you guys again soon.“
“Last time I had Pho for the first time was at a different location and it wasn't good at all. So I was skeptical to try it again at this spot but MAN WAS THIS PHO GOOD. I had the shrimp pho and it was so flavorful and soo good. We also had some crispy dumplings which were also pretty good ! Service was great, very nice people attending us and making sure our dinner time was going well. And the place was just so calm and relaxing. We got there an hour before closing time so there wasn't as many people, which made the experience so much better. After this redeeming experience, I will definitely be coming back ! I 10/10 recommend this place :)“
“I walked by this place a million times and it's always busy but for some reason I never expected much. Boy, was I wrong! The pasta here was perfectly made. The staff were friendly and efficient. The timing of the courses was spot on. I didn't even mind the wait when we arrived, we went for a walk around the marina and enjoyed the view and they texted when the table was ready. Best of all: did I mention the pasta? It was absolutely delicious!“
“I came to this place on a Thursday afternoon and let me tell you: I am a huge enthusiast of Thai food but it gets harder and harder by the day to pick up one spot that is above all of the others. This place is a strong contender for that first place, though: it has it all, reasonable prices, great food, amazing service and chill ambiance. The server was a woman with short hair and glasses who truly went above and beyond for us (I should have asked for her name but I forgot). Everything, including non-traditional items like fried shrimp cake was just cooked to perfection. It all came out quickly and piping hot. Parking was fantastic too. You can even street park by the 99 cents store and walk a little bit. Highly-recommended place!“
“The woman who attended me was amazing!! I really loved the strawberry milk and the pork belly was very delicious. I was just a little disappointed in the egg since it was warm on the outside but really cold in the inside which made me lose my appetite. The noodles also tasted too much like eggs in which I don’t really enjoy. The soup was really good though and again the pork belly tastes amazing!!“
“I really love ramen, Can't get tired of eating anytime I find a good spot, and this is one of those places, whenever I'm nearby. Personally I highly recommend the slurping ramen combo, and chashu bowl. Price is very reasonable.food is delivered pretty fast, workers are very friendlyParking: Is a big lot with many business as well, but Parking shouldn't be an issue to enjoy a great ramen“
“I come to LA from the east coast once or twice per year and I make my travel schedule around eating at Moto once per visit. The tan tan men ramen is absolutely the best ramen I have ever had. The broth is pure perfection... The side dishes are solid as well and the sushi is simple, but out of this world fresh and tasty. Sam is a great host. See you on my next trip Moto!!!“
