My writeup reflects the positive experience that I encountered at Cognoscenti Coffee on our interview date. Modern meets comfort with a hint of retro inside (and outside) Culver City’s Cognoscenti Coffee. Don’t let its small exterior fool you, because once you step inside you will be welcomed by a slew of cute bistro tables, industrial benches, and colorful chairs. But wait, there’s more! Veer to the right and catch a breath of fresh air in their somewhat secluded patio area. Whether you’re meeting with your bestie or having a writer’s meeting, you will easily be able to find a space to fit however many people in your party. Now let’s get to the good stuff! Cognoscenti’s beverage menu is comprised of the classics along with fun seasonal recipes in the mix. My drink of choice, the surprisingly refreshing Turmeric Latte. I wasn’t quite sure what I was getting myself into, but I’m very glad that my day to be adventurous was an enjoyable one with its perfect ratio of milk to spice. Hungry? Check out their selection of huge (and I mean huge) pastries to fill you up for breakfast or to hold you over until your group dinner in one of the Downtown Culver restaurants.”

We got the Gangster, which was in thr sweater side. The Inverted Jasper and Emerald city. Both cocktails were decently strong and had a nice flavor combination.

The resturant had some outdoor seating and had a great romantic upscale vibe. The bathrooms had bidets! It's great for date nignt and there's also a piano so would love to check it out when they have someone playing live.”

“As a noodle lover, I found this to be a very satisfying ramen spot. This Kyushu-style tonkotsu ramen chain has locations across Asia, the United States, Europe, and beyond.

You can choose the firmness of the noodles, the type of soup, and your preferred toppings. The gyoza is tasty and perfectly sized for a single bite.

When you want to enjoy both great food and a pleasant atmosphere, this place never disappoints.”

“I never knew there was a Homestate near by, I took my family there after I went to a couple of yelp events where Homestate was featured and loved their tacos, but I have never tried their hibiscus limeade. This was refreshing and amazing. My tijuana pather (brisket taco) fell apart but it was so good. Honestly, I've had several of their tacos and forth worth is my favorite. The potato taco was also decent. These tacos are messy because it is filled. You will leave full after 2 tacos.

The service was also great. They accidently left the bacon in the forth worth and fixed it right away. Even offered 2 cookies because it was busy and had to wait. That's great customer service.

I will be making this location a favorite for tex mex tacos.

Also parking is better after 6, it's only 30 mins prior right in front. This is downtown culver city so there's several lots and I'm not entirely sure about parking in the neighborhood, so just check signs.”

“I love Simonette. The patio is a wonderful place to relax and enjoy a cocktail and breakfast, lunch, or brunch. I’ve been there twice now and I can highly recommend the burger on the menu - the fried egg on top completes it! And the mussels in the light cream sauce are wonderful - especially with fries. A friend of mine ordered the fried Bronzino - the complete fish including the head - and she said it was delicious. There are great cocktails available and several wines and Prosecco available by the glass. The onsite valet parking is a bit steep, but there are many nearby options for parking in downtown Culver City if you don’t mind walking a few blocks.”

“What is certainly the best sushi I've ever had was here. I went for omakase today, a small group of 7 (including me) was the entire place. In omakase fashion, the chef made and prepared almost all the food in front of us, all of which was outstanding. It was definitely the best sushi I've ever had. Seeing how it is just a hole in the wall from the outside, you wouldn't expect such stellar quality. I went for my graduation and they gave me a special presentation including changing the sign on the wall for me. Not only was the food, service, and atmosphere stellar, but for such a luxury experience, the price point is amazing. The same thing anywhere else would cost over double what it is here. Overall, this place has been one of if not the best dining experience of my life.”

NONETHELESS Esme is a wonderful gem in a series of tight cross streets filled with high carbs and beer pubs. You would be lucky and blessed to have this experience. Do it today.

“We came here for my dad’s birthday. The restroom was really busy but we got lucky and found a nice booth. I just wanna say thank you to the manager moss for making my dad feel so special. He came by our table like five times, he not only brought my dad a dessert but he was part of the celebration with us. He made us feel so welcome. At first we weren’t sure about coming to this fancy restaurant, but this place is the best food and service, the people treat you like family. This might sound personal but he kept calling my father dad.

Our server was very informed and knowledgeable about the menu and the drinks. He recommended some fantastic Items, including the tuna tartar, which was fabulous!! We also shared a couple of tacos that were delicious- grilled fish tacos and the carnitas. We loved everything. The margaritas were outstanding. The decor/ vibe is very cute too. Tulum meets Miami- very colorful and tropical. I would highly recommend this restaurant.”

He was incredibly friendly, easygoing, and went above and beyond with his customer service from the moment we walked in. After chatting with us a bit about the day, he managed to bring some much-needed laughter and really lifted the mood. It’s always noticeable when someone treats customers with real kindness instead of just going through the motions. The staff overall made the visit feel welcoming and comfortable, which meant a lot after such a tiring day. Small moments like that can really turn someone’s day around. “I needed a little European fix today, so I decided to visit Des Croissants Paris. First of all I just finished devouring 4 pastries that were in incredibly delicious!!! Top ingredients straight from France! But what made my visit an outstanding experience, was how lovely and gracious the staff was including the owner. We chatted about Spain and had one of those moments of community that are so rare in this city. I highly recommend this slice of French heaven in the middle of Culver City”

“As most of you know trying vegan food is very new to me. Lately I’ve been on a tremendous weight loss drive so I had to be very careful what I eat and often times me very selective. But I have learned to enjoy it and today I got a vegan specialty from a cute little vegan protein bar. Right inside the gym I go to, LA fitness in Kansas City. And the young lady behind the bar was very pleasant and offered several suggestions as I let her know I just finished a very intense workout so I needed protein but I need to be very careful on the caloric intake. I tried the vegan peanut butter dream and let me tell you it certainly looked up to it stain. They were even kind enough to give me extra in a little cup on the side lol so I’ll be sure to enjoy it all day long this is a wonderful mix of almond milk, peanut butter, banana, Oats, and hemp seed and plant protein they are waiting for you to try the many other healthy options that I recommend highly!”

“This was my first dining experience at Vespertine. Having been at 2 and 3 star Michelin restaurants around the world, Vespertine now ranks among my top 3! Exquisitely prepared meals, delicious and inventive taste combinations, remarkable service, and fantastic atmosphere. Each course was plattered brilliantly with exotic and enticing tableware (one course used a shined mussel shell as the spoon!). Excellent wine and juice pairings completed this perfect evening. “What's there to say. It's Olive Garden. Endless breadsticks and soup or salad. I took advantage of their never ending pasta and had to be rolled out of there. “I love a lomo saltado and having the option to do a casual and quick walk in, order and eat it in bowl format is a really simple and smart idea. First off, the taste for me is 100. The lime ranch sauce is my favorite. They keep it simple but not the flavor. I discovered this place on instagram but never go to this area so I made a special trip one day a few weeks ago, then the next day our office ordered it for delivery and everyone loved it and then last week I brought my picky teen and she gave it the thumbs up.
