“Reason for visiting:
Date/time of visit: Thursday Afternoon lunch, ~12:30 PM
Parking: I parked in the paid parking garage at the Culver steps; paid $2 after dobe with lunch so assume good for ~2 hours. My coworker found street parking 1-2 blocks away if you want to try to find street parking but $2 is reasonable
Party size: 4
Environment/ambience: smallish place with few tables and some outdoor seating. No TVs inside; not too loud inside. Pets allowed but prob outdoor only. Clean restrooms. Lots of things to see and visit around too; downtown Culver City has things within walking distance and outdoor grass areas to hang out around
Service: was great; came around often. Friendly too.
Food: had the W Chashu Ramen with egg; they do not serve alcohol here.
Cost: ~$140 with tip; $2 parking.
Would I go back (yes/no): 80/20; parking can be a hassle but food was great”
“Juliet restaurant is truly wonderful. The French-inspired dishes are beautifully presented, flavorful, and made with fresh ingredients. It feels like you're dining in the heart of Paris.
The staff are attentive and the space is elegant and modern. We look forward to returning.”

“This was my first time to a restaurant in the Culver Steps area and I LOVED it. Wonderful ambiance, sophisticated and classy, and staff certainly marched. Wonderful service and the food, every dish I tried, was SPECTACULAR. I had the ribeye and it was the best steak I have ever had outside of a dedicated steakhouse. Can’t wait to go back again soon!”
“As most of old Hollywood fades away silently, this one is going out with a bang! please consider stopping by, and stepping back into the days of Frank, Dino, and the rest of the Rat Pack..... you won't be disappointed.... if you can't stay, take home a fabulous TV dinner, from the menu.... again, it's not to be missed.... but don't wait too long, sadly it won't last forever, and another treasure will only be matchbooks and memories😞”

“Just finished a fabulous dinner at the DTLA location! We got the Block Bowl and a Combo plate with Brisket and Pulled Pork - everything was delicious, the service was really warm and friendly, and the whole vibe was great! We’ve been eyeing this place for awhile and will definitely be back!!”
“favorite brewery in West LA area - only one I can think of that’s work friendly with good wifi, amazing people and train watching, and usually a new food truck just out front. Also great beer prices.”

“We randomly ended up to this restaurant: small, but pleasant, the type of place where you can talk with your friends. Party of three, we had the fish carpaccio, the octopus, and the burger (gourmet burger!). Everything was prepared to perfection. They will definitely see us again.”
“The foods are amazing … i had the salmon creamy pasta and i liked it so much, the salmon with cherry tomatoes are very refreshing , porcini and mushroom are the new favorites , but the black truffle was the most unforgettable one , once you taste it, it seems you are watching a classic italian movie. The employees are friendly and very accomodating. The atmosphere itself makes you feel like home.”
“oh em gee, love love love!! this seriously is some of the best crispy chicken sandwich i’ve had in a while, it’s perfectly seasoned with the best crunch. the workers are super welcoming and sweet! even gave us free corn ribs because they heard it was our first time, defo recommend the corn ribs and the original sandwich mild. definitely recommend if you haven’t tried!!”
“Delicious little chicken place. Great food, small portions—kinda. Lots of side, not much chicken. I ordered the dark meat 1/4 plate, $18+ for two small pieces of chicken. Really good chicken, well seasoned.
Chicken was juicy, potatoes golden, bread soft, sauces delectable (chili and garlic). Hummus was RLLY good, and I don’t even like hummus.
Service was friendly and quick, what you’d expect from fast-ish food in Culver. The bright yellow decor is friendly, airy. A nice spot to chat over lunch.
I’m a 20-something guy, so lighter appetites would probably be satisfied with chicken portions. TBH I will be back and ordering the same meal. I’ll just… drink a protein shake first, or something.”
“I write for a music and coffee blog called Crooners In Coffeeshops, in which I interview local musicians at local coffeeshops. My writeup reflects the positive experience that I encountered at Cognoscenti Coffee on our interview date. Modern meets comfort with a hint of retro inside (and outside) Culver City’s Cognoscenti Coffee. Don’t let its small exterior fool you, because once you step inside you will be welcomed by a slew of cute bistro tables, industrial benches, and colorful chairs. But wait, there’s more! Veer to the right and catch a breath of fresh air in their somewhat secluded patio area. Whether you’re meeting with your bestie or having a writer’s meeting, you will easily be able to find a space to fit however many people in your party. Now let’s get to the good stuff! Cognoscenti’s beverage menu is comprised of the classics along with fun seasonal recipes in the mix. My drink of choice, the surprisingly refreshing Turmeric Latte. I wasn’t quite sure what I was getting myself into, but I’m very glad that my day to be adventurous was an enjoyable one with its perfect ratio of milk to spice. Hungry? Check out their selection of huge (and I mean huge) pastries to fill you up for breakfast or to hold you over until your group dinner in one of the Downtown Culver restaurants.”
“Overall a solid sushi and omakase spot, but pricey. We did the middle tier omakase and it was a good amount of food. The tempura fish was a highlight for me. I thought the fish was good but nothing mind-blowing, and personally I found the nigiri to have too much rice per piece. Ambiance was good, and the chefs were fun to watch. We got an anniversary dessert which was really nice!”
“Elijah and the crew at Luna Grill are wonderful and nice! The food was delicious 😋 I’m definitely coming again! Thank you😊”

“Our second time being there. Truly amazing experience. Food is absolutely outstanding, dessert is not as impressive. Typical pricing for testing menu is worth it BUT charging twice as much for ALMOST the same food and charging twice as much for valentine evening was not justified.”

“I love Simonette. The patio is a wonderful place to relax and enjoy a cocktail and breakfast, lunch, or brunch. I’ve been there twice now and I can highly recommend the burger on the menu - the fried egg on top completes it! And the mussels in the light cream sauce are wonderful - especially with fries. A friend of mine ordered the fried Bronzino - the complete fish including the head - and she said it was delicious. There are great cocktails available and several wines and Prosecco available by the glass. The onsite valet parking is a bit steep, but there are many nearby options for parking in downtown Culver City if you don’t mind walking a few blocks.”
“Loved this hotel. The rooms were really nice with great amenities, and the backyard and pool were amazing. I’ve stayed at many Hiltons, and this was by far the best breakfast restaurant menu I’ve had — you can tell they have a great chef. Every choice was excellent, and honestly I’d pick this breakfast over most trendy brunch spots. The servers were all very friendly, and Jesus G was especially welcoming.”
“one place uou can't ho wrong. Finally Indian fine cuisine at it's BEST. I highly recommend.”
“We enjoyed the food but as most of the fried items are cooked in the same oil, if you have an allergy issue, my wife could not eat many of the cooked items. It’s not cheap. Three people about $200 which includes gratuity. For those with no allergies, we enjoyed the food.”
“Was offered an off menu vegan hand roll which was decent. You definitely have to ask what the vegan options as items aren't labeled. My server had no issue pointing me in the right direction.”

“Stopped by Carl's Jr. after a long day of doctor’s appointments and ended up having a genuinely positive experience thanks to Daniel, the shift leader. He was incredibly friendly, easygoing, and went above and beyond with his customer service from the moment we walked in. After chatting with us a bit about the day, he managed to bring some much-needed laughter and really lifted the mood. It’s always noticeable when someone treats customers with real kindness instead of just going through the motions. The staff overall made the visit feel welcoming and comfortable, which meant a lot after such a tiring day. Small moments like that can really turn someone’s day around. Big thanks to Daniel and the team for the thoughtful hospitality.”
“It’s very different .. they try to get you to use a machine to order .. I don’t like this ..cold . I prefer interacting with a person.. I don’t like the idea of a machine taking a persons employment.. the play area is very small not much to do .. we won’t be here much .sorry😩”

“I have known Kristy since she her original store at Abbot Kinney. She makes the most beautiful creations. But most importantly, her desserts are mouthwateringly delicious. Her desserts are both delicate and slightly sweet on the palate. Her background of French and Asian baking techniques are beautifully expressed on her dessert creations. Once you taste her desserts, everything else is secondary.”

“I needed a little European fix today, so I decided to visit Des Croissants Paris. First of all I just finished devouring 4 pastries that were in incredibly delicious!!! Top ingredients straight from France! But what made my visit an outstanding experience, was how lovely and gracious the staff was including the owner. We chatted about Spain and had one of those moments of community that are so rare in this city. I highly recommend this slice of French heaven in the middle of Culver City”
“I popped into Baked Bar on Washington Blvd in Culver City..Best decision I could have made! Not only was the food amazing but the service was equally amazing!!!
My new favorite bakery.
I went in for a cup of coffee…but ended up getting a cup of dreamy camomile tea, a 1/2 loaf of roasted garlic sour dough, a melt in your mouth bacon breakfast sandwich, and 2 Vegan chocolate chip cookies for my kids! What a haul!!
I love ❤️😘 this place!!”

“As most of you know trying vegan food is very new to me. Lately I’ve been on a tremendous weight loss drive so I had to be very careful what I eat and often times me very selective. But I have learned to enjoy it and today I got a vegan specialty from a cute little vegan protein bar. Right inside the gym I go to, LA fitness in Kansas City. And the young lady behind the bar was very pleasant and offered several suggestions as I let her know I just finished a very intense workout so I needed protein but I need to be very careful on the caloric intake. I tried the vegan peanut butter dream and let me tell you it certainly looked up to it stain. They were even kind enough to give me extra in a little cup on the side lol so I’ll be sure to enjoy it all day long this is a wonderful mix of almond milk, peanut butter, banana, Oats, and hemp seed and plant protein they are waiting for you to try the many other healthy options that I recommend highly!”
“Fantastic coffee. espresso or drip, they know exactly what they are doing”
“So much more than a bookstore with a coffee shop. It's a perfect cafe to meet up, get a unique book, do a work session, or catch one of the many events - it's a place with people that make you feel part of the community. It's a very unique spot where everyone feels invited and welcome.”

“My favorite of the 3 ramen places in downtown Culver. This is a popular chain in Tokyo and the food tastes the same here as it does there. Very classic Japanese ramen, no gimmicks.”

“Was it the first-time-fluke?
This place makes one of the most interesting flavor combos that does not make sandwiches boring. Love the saffron mayo.
When we came for the first time— they were out of focaccia breads and we had the WLF on baguette— it was fantastic. With the fried shallot, the flavors were well-balanced and found them different than other places.
We came back with the good memories and came back for the second time. The flavors inside of the bread were the same, but the bread— the original recipe— did not find the flavor balance and just sour throughout.
We learned that the original recipe isn’t good, but they don’t offer bread substitution (at least online). Tasting in a way could be just us, but not offering an option is not great. Happily willing to try again.”
“Great drinks and food across their multiple locations. I didn’t realize there were multiple locations and this was my first time at this specific location. The overall aesthetic of the shop is essentially the same. The service can take a bit long since it’s usually 1-2 baristas working as the cashier and the barista making the drink.
The food and drinks are a bit on the pricier end but very delicious.
They have outdoor seating available with umbrellas for shade.”
“As someone who grew up near Philly, this is the best cheesesteak I’ve had in LA.
Comes with mushroom and onions, which is a must. The bread was pillowy and soft, and while some prefer a crunchy toasted cheesesteak, I thoroughly enjoyed it. Not overly greasy, clean beef cuts, and the it was THE RIGHT CHEESE. I also got the garlic fries which were great.
Definitely get a cheesesteak here to satisfy the craving.”
“Great place for italian products and the sandwiches are devine!”
Cheap Eats
“This is a great little place, it's been open for a long time. I been eating here since I was a kid, my dad used to bring me and my brothers. The carnitas tacos are great, except they change the cheddar cheese to the white cheese. Tacos taste good but not like they used to taste. There is limited parking, the restaurant is very clean.”
“Had my first date with my bf here about 1.5 years ago. Service & atmosphere were great and it was the only place that was quiet enough and had tables large enough for us to play the board game we wanted to play. That being said, the passionfruit boba was the worst one I’ve ever had lmao”
“Súper rico todo primera vez que lo probamos y súper crujiente el interior súper rico muchísimo queso el sabor 10 de 10 la verdad así me lo imaginé volveré a ir súper rico toda la comida las papitas fritas los aderezos y ami que me encanta lo picoso lo súper recomiendo”
“Good food, great atmosphere, friendly and fast service,I recommend to everyone,👍🏼”
“This is my first time eating at this location but I love the pesto chicken sandwich one of my favorites I actually live out in the San Fernando valley and I always get the one closest to me but everybody was kind and friendly and the sandwich was just as delicious thank you”
“Good good food. The tabolue was my fav I came back for seconds then thirds lol. The service was dope asl too. Mind u this the mall. Xavier Alejandro P was my server btw. I’m shouting him out bc if he didn’t let me sample the taboule I wouldn’t have ate here.”
“Great drinks, delicious food, the most ADDICTIVE CHIPS and guacamole- I promise you won't be able to stop at one order so walk your 25k steps before you make reservations! Our server was so pleasant and engaging and the entire staff that day 3/21 @6pm was awesome includingthe valet as we left! I forgot to get names, hence why I gave the date we were here:) I had the best quesadilla and my husband ordered a chicken and a carne Asada taco...DELICIOUS!”
“Came here with a group of friends after someone recommended it, and honestly, it’s one of those places you might overlook at first. From the outside, it’s pretty low-key and not the most eye-catching, but once you walk in, the whole vibe changes. The staff welcomes you right away, and you can’t miss the wall full of awards—it definitely says something. The place itself is casual and not fancy, but the food and service really stand out. Everyone on the team checked in on us without being overbearing, and you can tell they work well together. We ordered a bunch of dishes to share and everything was full of flavor. Definitely recommend getting a mango lassi to balance out the spice—it came in clutch.”

“I cried the first time I ate from here. It’s so good, I think its suited better as a breakfast place and a lunch/dinner place, but regardless the chicken is so crunchy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and the bread is so soft and buttery. I love everything about this place. Their milkshakes are the best too.”

“Absolutely one of the best food experiences I’ve ever had in Los Angeles! From the first bite to the last, everything was bursting with flavor and clearly made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. The dishes were beautifully presented and perfectly balanced, with just the right mix of creativity and authenticity.
The service was just as impressive—friendly, attentive, and genuinely passionate about the food. You can tell the team really cares about giving guests a memorable experience. The atmosphere was vibrant yet relaxed, making it the perfect spot for both casual dining and special occasions.
If you’re in LA and looking for unforgettable food, this place is a must-visit. I’ll definitely be coming back!”
“Super Dumpling is a great stop if you’re on the way to the aipport. The service was great (Thank you to our server Win who understood we were in a rush!!!) and the food came really quickly. We ordered the chicken and crab dumplings that was perfectly juicy, a true delicacy. We also got the Mapo Tofu and recommend going extra spicy because the flavoring was superb. Will be returning for the next dinner before dinner meal!”
“El Huarique Peruvian Kitchen delivers a vibrant and satisfying taste of Peruvian cuisine with bold, well-balanced flavors. The dishes feel hearty and authentic, with a great mix of spices and textures that stand out. I especially enjoyed how fresh everything tastes, from the seafood to the sides. The atmosphere is casual but welcoming, making it easy to relax and enjoy the meal. It’s a great spot for trying something flavorful and a little different.”
“Taqueria Chihuahua is a great spot for classic Mexican comfort food done right. The tacos are flavorful and satisfying, with well-seasoned meats and fresh toppings that come together nicely. I especially liked how consistent everything feels, from the tortillas to the salsas. The atmosphere is casual and laid-back, making it perfect for a quick and enjoyable meal. It’s a reliable place when you’re craving something simple, authentic, and full of flavor.”
“Corner taco stand. Simple yet delicious. How a true taco should be. Ordered asada & suadero. Both good but Asada was way better. I’m used to the suadero being deep fried in the oil but it seemed it was actually more of a broth. Suadero meat was then seared/ fried on the grill. Still good though but not Mexico City suadero tacos good”
“Absolutely in love with this place! 🍽️✨ The food is a beautiful symphony of flavors, and the atmosphere is just so warm and welcoming. The perfect spot for a cozy meal with friends or a special dinner. Every bite was a little piece of happiness. 💛”
