“This review is for the drinks only, I'll update again for food! This place was pretty busy on a Sunday evening although it was a rainy Labor day weekend.

We got the Gangster, which was in thr sweater side. The Inverted Jasper and Emerald city. Both cocktails were decently strong and had a nice flavor combination.

The resturant had some outdoor seating and had a great romantic upscale vibe. The bathrooms had bidets! It's great for date nignt and there's also a piano so would love to check it out when they have someone playing live.”

You can choose the firmness of the noodles, the type of soup, and your preferred toppings. The gyoza is tasty and perfectly sized for a single bite.

When you want to enjoy both great food and a pleasant atmosphere, this place never disappoints.”

Disregard the previous review that was freaking out about the chairs. It happened right in front of us and the person was just there to look at their phone, not watch the game, not engage with the other patrons, nothing. It came off as entitled and sad. I’m disappointed to see them leave such an uninformed review”

“I never knew there was a Homestate near by, I took my family there after I went to a couple of yelp events where Homestate was featured and loved their tacos, but I have never tried their hibiscus limeade. This was refreshing and amazing. My tijuana pather (brisket taco) fell apart but it was so good. Honestly, I've had several of their tacos and forth worth is my favorite. The potato taco was also decent. These tacos are messy because it is filled. You will leave full after 2 tacos.

The service was also great. They accidently left the bacon in the forth worth and fixed it right away. Even offered 2 cookies because it was busy and had to wait. That's great customer service.

I will be making this location a favorite for tex mex tacos.

Also parking is better after 6, it's only 30 mins prior right in front. This is downtown culver city so there's several lots and I'm not entirely sure about parking in the neighborhood, so just check signs.”

Modern meets comfort with a hint of retro inside (and outside) Culver City’s Cognoscenti Coffee. Don’t let its small exterior fool you, because once you step inside you will be welcomed by a slew of cute bistro tables, industrial benches, and colorful chairs. But wait, there’s more! Veer to the right and catch a breath of fresh air in their somewhat secluded patio area. Whether you’re meeting with your bestie or having a writer’s meeting, you will easily be able to find a space to fit however many people in your party. Now let’s get to the good stuff! Cognoscenti’s beverage menu is comprised of the classics along with fun seasonal recipes in the mix. My drink of choice, the surprisingly refreshing Turmeric Latte. I wasn’t quite sure what I was getting myself into, but I’m very glad that my day to be adventurous was an enjoyable one with its perfect ratio of milk to spice. Hungry? Check out their selection of huge (and I mean huge) pastries to fill you up for breakfast or to hold you over until your group dinner in one of the Downtown Culver restaurants.”

The drinks took a long time to come out, and when they arrived on of the drinks was spilled by the server. The 4th course came out before the 3rd course. The $70 dinner sampler is a great way to try a variety of food but it's not really a great value; the portions were almost laughable. Corkage is allowed for a $35 per bottle fee.”

To name a few, the bacon wrapped shrimp, the yellow tail belly, Salmon Belly, Red Seabream belly, the UDON was the most delicious I have had and the skewers. We sat and discussed Japan with Chef Yoshi and company at the sushi bar. Cannot wait to come back and eat there again. Everything was delicious.”

“What is certainly the best sushi I've ever had was here. I went for omakase today, a small group of 7 (including me) was the entire place. In omakase fashion, the chef made and prepared almost all the food in front of us, all of which was outstanding. It was definitely the best sushi I've ever had. Seeing how it is just a hole in the wall from the outside, you wouldn't expect such stellar quality. I went for my graduation and they gave me a special presentation including changing the sign on the wall for me. Not only was the food, service, and atmosphere stellar, but for such a luxury experience, the price point is amazing. The same thing anywhere else would cost over double what it is here. Overall, this place has been one of if not the best dining experience of my life.”

“I love Simonette. The patio is a wonderful place to relax and enjoy a cocktail and breakfast, lunch, or brunch. I’ve been there twice now and I can highly recommend the burger on the menu - the fried egg on top completes it! And the mussels in the light cream sauce are wonderful - especially with fries. A friend of mine ordered the fried Bronzino - the complete fish including the head - and she said it was delicious. There are great cocktails available and several wines and Prosecco available by the glass. The onsite valet parking is a bit steep, but there are many nearby options for parking in downtown Culver City if you don’t mind walking a few blocks.”

But Brett, the host (or manager?) was incredibly accommodating and kind about it and the rest of the staff was lovely as well. The watermelon ceviche was absolutely to die for, and we had such a wonderful evening from start to finish. We’ll definitely be back!”

“I found this place off of Google Reviews and wanted a lighter dinner meal. When I arrived the owners, which I believe are a husband and wife duo, both greeted me and told me the menu was on the wall. Given Im still new to eating Mediterranean food I took a moment to look it over. I asked a question and the guy suggested the chicken gyro sandwich. After paying, I watched him prepare the meal and it smelled divine. Honestly the only complaint I have is I should have eaten it there and asked for no tomatoes. That's on me. Im not a local but if I was, I'd be going back to try other dishes and get that chicken gyro. They also have provided some of the best customer service and genuinely seemed happy to see me.

“I needed a little European fix today, so I decided to visit Des Croissants Paris. First of all I just finished devouring 4 pastries that were in incredibly delicious!!! Top ingredients straight from France! But what made my visit an outstanding experience, was how lovely and gracious the staff was including the owner. We chatted about Spain and had one of those moments of community that are so rare in this city. I highly recommend this slice of French heaven in the middle of Culver City”

“As most of you know trying vegan food is very new to me. Lately I’ve been on a tremendous weight loss drive so I had to be very careful what I eat and often times me very selective. But I have learned to enjoy it and today I got a vegan specialty from a cute little vegan protein bar. Right inside the gym I go to, LA fitness in Kansas City. And the young lady behind the bar was very pleasant and offered several suggestions as I let her know I just finished a very intense workout so I needed protein but I need to be very careful on the caloric intake. I tried the vegan peanut butter dream and let me tell you it certainly looked up to it stain. They were even kind enough to give me extra in a little cup on the side lol so I’ll be sure to enjoy it all day long this is a wonderful mix of almond milk, peanut butter, banana, Oats, and hemp seed and plant protein they are waiting for you to try the many other healthy options that I recommend highly!”

I love chewy cookies but I'm giving it 3 stars for value and also how my cookies stuck together by the time I got home, which was less than 2 miles, so packaging fail. The ladies working at the shop was nice and quick. But $7 for 2 filmsy cookie is a bit expensive in my opinion.”

“From 9-11:30 most Monday nights, come to this small bar to see the miracle of the Hot Club of Los Angeles, an amazing 5 piece embodiment of Django Reinhart's 1930s jazz spirit. Their second set may start around 10:45 if you'd like a bit more room. No snacks, no food, no nonsense...just as good a band as you'll ever see in a space this small. “I love a lomo saltado and having the option to do a casual and quick walk in, order and eat it in bowl format is a really simple and smart idea. First off, the taste for me is 100. The lime ranch sauce is my favorite. They keep it simple but not the flavor. I discovered this place on instagram but never go to this area so I made a special trip one day a few weeks ago, then the next day our office ordered it for delivery and everyone loved it and then last week I brought my picky teen and she gave it the thumbs up. I have not tried anything else yet but the burritos look good and I should probably try the chicken pero I love beef. Thank you for coming to my Ted talk.”

“This is the best Korean bbq I have ever had! We stumbled upon this place 30 minutes before it closed for the day, and ordered 3 different items on the menu: sweet and spicy chicken, soy and garlic chicken, and beef bulgoki. All three were amazing! I cannot stress how good and flavorful the food was. Highest quality! My only regret is that I didn't have time to go back again. Highly recommend the 3 dishes above and highly recommend having it there instead of bringing it back. Asim(owner) is a very friendly and welcoming guy. All the food is halal! Keep it up!!”
