“What a delicious surprise ! Was thinking about the bagels on this block when I walked down to Cofax. Hoping it was an old school diner, discovered unique breakfast burritos and other items. Hard to decide and ordered the hot link burrito and added avocado. Delicious breakfast clearly made with love. So impressed with the house made salsas. Made a grumpy hangry old guy so happy and so full!“

“I ordered the Yemeni coffee mufawaar and the saffron milk cake. The coffee was rich, aromatic, and paired perfectly with the dessert. As for the saffron milk cake—every bite was pure pleasure. It was moist, fragrant, and just the right level of sweetness. Best of all, I didn’t get that sugar high followed by the inevitable crash afterward, which made it even more enjoyable. There’s also a parking lot in the back. If you’re looking for a cozy place to slow down with a unique coffee and an excellent dessert, Qamaria is definitely worth a visit.“

“I write for a music and coffee blog called Crooners In Coffeeshops, in which I interview local musicians at local coffeeshops. My writeup reflects the positive experience that I encountered at Cognoscenti Coffee on our interview date. Modern meets comfort with a hint of retro inside (and outside) Culver City’s Cognoscenti Coffee. Don’t let its small exterior fool you, because once you step inside you will be welcomed by a slew of cute bistro tables, industrial benches, and colorful chairs. But wait, there’s more! Veer to the right and catch a breath of fresh air in their somewhat secluded patio area. Whether you’re meeting with your bestie or having a writer’s meeting, you will easily be able to find a space to fit however many people in your party. Now let’s get to the good stuff! Cognoscenti’s beverage menu is comprised of the classics along with fun seasonal recipes in the mix. My drink of choice, the surprisingly refreshing Turmeric Latte. I wasn’t quite sure what I was getting myself into, but I’m very glad that my day to be adventurous was an enjoyable one with its perfect ratio of milk to spice. Hungry? Check out their selection of huge (and I mean huge) pastries to fill you up for breakfast or to hold you over until your group dinner in one of the Downtown Culver restaurants.“
“Love this treasure in the heart of Mar Vista.“

“Matcha ice cream no. 3 and a matcha soft serve float with matcha latte ! And it’s dog friendly! Lots of seats for working, free WiFi, indoor and outdoor seats. Authentic Japanese high graded matcha. Not too sweet, bitter taste, just the way I like it! High caffeine content which I appreciate! Love this place and will definitely be returning to try some other menu items!“
“Had my first date with my bf here about 1.5 years ago. Service & atmosphere were great and it was the only place that was quiet enough and had tables large enough for us to play the board game we wanted to play. That being said, the passionfruit boba was the worst one I’ve ever had lmao“
“So much more than a bookstore with a coffee shop. It's a perfect cafe to meet up, get a unique book, do a work session, or catch one of the many events - it's a place with people that make you feel part of the community. It's a very unique spot where everyone feels invited and welcome.“
“Great drinks and food across their multiple locations. I didn’t realize there were multiple locations and this was my first time at this specific location. The overall aesthetic of the shop is essentially the same. The service can take a bit long since it’s usually 1-2 baristas working as the cashier and the barista making the drink.
The food and drinks are a bit on the pricier end but very delicious.
They have outdoor seating available with umbrellas for shade.“

“If you’re looking fast service this is not the place for you. Now if you’re looking for good coffee, this is the spot.First time here. I typically go where i can get a quick coffee and go go go. This is a small shop. I waited a few minutes longer than i normally would where i go but guess what? Once i had the first zip i knew this is my new spot. See you tomorrow morning.“

“I love this Starbucks crew. They’re always so kind, patient, friendly, and helpful — particularly Samiya, Bri, Maria, Eva, and Mark (Zack too, when he used to be around). I frequently go to Starbucks to work, and I never feel unwelcome. Never imagined I’d become a regular, but the staff and comfy atmosphere keeps me coming back. Pro-tip: There’s often no parking, so might as well park in one of the surrounding neighborhoods (watch out for signs, but most spots are in the clear).“

“I came in to try their coffee. The person who assisted me was very nice, friendly and honest. I came in right before closing, so it was empty. The menu looks great , wide variety of foods. Their lavender latte was amazing. Looking forward to going back and trying some of their food.“
“This place has been serving the community for almost 29 years, and it’s easy to see why. It’s run by a wonderful gentleman who puts so much care into what he does. The water quality is absolutely amazing—crisp, clean, and completely unrivaled. Just a heads-up that it’s cash-only, so come prepared. Supporting a local gem like this is an absolute no-brainer. Highly recommend!“

“Young Hispanic guy that helped us was awesome! but his co-workers were a little loud and obnoxious yelling from behind the counter to other coworker in market about their personal life issues while the dude was making all drinks he even had to ask her to move out of his way while he's working and she was just yelling n doing nothing. So the 5 stars go to the young dude that was working today around 3pm. Thanks for my double iced shaken espresso with breve , sfvanilla and venti java chip It was perfect!“

“Wonderful coffees in a beautiful setting! The baristas were very knowledgeable and made great recommendations. The service was terrific. Amazing Mocha, but also loved the iced NOLA. There are so many coffee shops these days, but Blue Bottle in Culver City was exceptional !“

“I recently had the pleasure of attending the pro-series cooking course led by Chef Manifa and it was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment I walked into the kitchen, Chef Manifa’s passion for food and dedication to teaching was evident. Her classes were not only highly informative but also immensely enjoyable.
Chef Manifa masterfully blended professionalism with warmth, creating an environment that was both educational and inviting. Her deep knowledge of culinary techniques, combined with her clear and patient teaching style, ensured that everyone in the class (from beginners to seasoned cooks) could follow along and improve their skills.
What truly set this cooking course apart was Chef Manifa’s ability to make complex techniques accessible to everyone. She broke down each step with precision, offering invaluable tips and tricks that only a seasoned expert could provide. Whether it was perfecting a delicate sauce or mastering the art of knife skills, Chef Manifa made each lesson engaging and achievable.
Moreover, Chef Manifa's enthusiasm was infectious. Her storytelling and anecdotes from her culinary journey, and genuine interest in each participant's progress made the class feel personal and enriching. The hands-on approach meant we could immediately apply what we learned, and Chef Manifa was always on hand to offer guidance and encouragement.
The highlight of each class was, of course, the food (lol)!! Under Chef Manifa’s expert instruction, week after week, we created dishes that were not only delicious but beautifully presented. The emphasis on using fresh, high-quality ingredients and understanding the science behind cooking techniques truly elevated the experience.
Chef Manifa delivered an outstanding cooking course that exceeded all my expectations. Her expertise, charisma, and passion for the culinary arts made for an unforgettable experience. I left the course not only with new skills and recipes but with a renewed inspiration for cooking.
I wholeheartedly recommend Chef Manifa's classes to anyone looking to enhance their culinary repertoire while having an incredible time!!!
Thank you so much, Chef Manifa you are the best!!!“
“**MUST TRY** The best little donut shop in LA. Wide variety of sandwiches, croissants, bagels, burritos, hoagies with numerous different ways to get. Juices, shakes, and Scratch offs too. The closest thing to a NY deli that I have found. Prices are the lowest in LA.“

“Store Manager of the Culver City location of Sidecar Doughnuts & Coffee, Karla, and server Eli were very professional and courteous to me. The doughnuts were warm and tasty as ever, not too sweet. Unfortunately, a small coffee costs $3.50, and when I asked for a refill, I was told, no, that there are no refills. Pity.“

“The breakfast / brunch menu has a good concept and good options. The merguez sandwich was good, but too oily. The fries were done well but too salty.
I wish they cooked the food with less oil and salt. Maybe I'll request that if I stop by to eat there again.“
