“This is my go-to neighborhood bakery now. Living within short walking distance means I come here every week. I've tried every pastry by now and each one is excellent. They often add new seasonal pastries, most recently a strawberry danish topped with creamy frosting and filled with house-made jam; easily the best vegan pastry I've ever had. Their freshly baked breads are almost all vegan, most of their cakes are vegan, they have vegan sandwiches, and all of their café drinks can be vegan with plenty of plant milks available. Many of these are gluten free as well for those concerned about that, and always clearly marked. These are NOT pastries for crunchy health-food types, they are incredible and indulgent vegan versions of the same croissants, pan au chocolat, scones, cookies, muffins, etc you'd get in any European style bakery. It's a great place to go with omni friends and family because the vegan options are just as good as the nonvegan ones. The place has a really cozy neighborhood type feeling, drawing regulars from the area including families and plenty of cute dogs, and the staff and owners are all super friendly. My omni fiancé and I are having them make our wedding cake! Pro tip 1: go before closing from 2:30-3:00 Monday-Thursday for 30% off everything. Pro tip 2: their day-old breads are half off, which makes their breads a total steal. Pro tip 3: They also sell locally made coffee, greeting cards, handmade candles, and other small giftable items like that if you're treating someone else. Updated from previous review on 2026-06-20“

“This was my first time ordering from moonbowls and I will definitely be coming back! I did a build your own steak bowl, with the spicy kimchi, sweet potatoes and mushrooms - solid 10/10!
I had the spicy house sauce, the gochugang sauce, and the chili crunch sauce and they were all good! My only complaint is they use Canola oil but I did give them feedback in hopes that they will make a change down the line, unfortunately so many restaurants still use seed oils, so until it becomes the NORM to be seed oil free, I feel like I can’t really complain all that much.
If you’re in the area I would highly recommend you try this place out! The pickup experience is different as well, they have a tablet that scans your order confirmation and assuming the order is ready already, it’s placed into a self serve locker that will open for you upon you checking in.
Ps. You DO have to buy your own utensils, which they charge $0.25 for, not the end of the world but definitely something to note, as i don’t think most people are accustomed to paying for their utensils.“

“Love this place. The fish is fresh and the option to build your own bowl is great.“

“If you’re looking fast service this is not the place for you. Now if you’re looking for good coffee, this is the spot.First time here. I typically go where i can get a quick coffee and go go go. This is a small shop. I waited a few minutes longer than i normally would where i go but guess what? Once i had the first zip i knew this is my new spot. See you tomorrow morning.“
“The goal was to look for a nice cake at a good price since the cake wasn’t going to be the center of attention. I showed Joanie some examples of some cakes I thought were beautiful but I was sure it would be too expensive to do. She helped me alter the design we picked just a little bit to stay on budget and let me tell you, this cake was PERFECT. We even placed it next to the champagne tower to display it for all to see. Not only did it look pretty but it also just tasted delicious. While the cake was meant to be an area we were trying to save money and keep our expectation low, it turned out completely opposite and we ended up with an absolutely beautiful cake at an incredible price. Thank you!! My only regret is not getting to eat more!“

“Store Manager of the Culver City location of Sidecar Doughnuts & Coffee, Karla, and server Eli were very professional and courteous to me. The doughnuts were warm and tasty as ever, not too sweet. Unfortunately, a small coffee costs $3.50, and when I asked for a refill, I was told, no, that there are no refills. Pity.“

“Amazing sandwiches & lots of vegan options. They are well staffed & the checkout people are really friendly. I was so sad when the Westwood location closed but this one is run soooo much better than the old one. The whole crew isn’t high as a kite so all my orders have been correct & ready in a timely fashion even though the restaurant was very busy with takeout orders. 🤗 I’ve eaten there 3 times in 4 days so to say I love it is an understatement! Parking is a breeze & they seem Covid conscious too which is a plus. I did notice some outdoor seating - it’s right by Jamba Juice.“
