“Instagram brought me here for the breakfast burrito and it did not disappoint. I ordered the sausage breakfast burrito on a GF tortilla because I have to be GF. I am very grateful for that option or else I would not be able to try this burrito. The burrito is LOADED with tater tots, just egg, sausage and a chiptole creama. Although the area you pick up seems sketchy its not. I appreciate what they are doing here and the concept is great. Will def come back but I would suggest a bit more egg in the burrito because the burrito is 80% tots.“

“During my recent trip to LA, amidst the hustle and bustle of a conference, I found a culinary haven at Samosa House. This place is a gem that serves up some of the most comforting Indian food I've encountered on this side of the globe. Perhaps it was the pangs of hunger or just the sheer quality of their offerings, but my experience there was nothing short of delightful. From the moment my coworker and I stepped in, drawn by the need for a satisfying yet affordable meal, we were met with warmth and smiles that felt welcoming in the vastness of Los Angeles. Our culinary adventure began with a selection that promised a rich tapestry of flavors – the dosa, sambar, two chutneys, and chaat were our picks, aiming to quench our craving for authentic Indian cuisine. The dosa was a revelation. Crisp on the outside, yet tender within, it was a perfect canvas for the lush, spicy sambar and the duo of chutneys that accompanied it. One chutney, a bright coconut concoction, offered a creamy, sweet contrast, while the other, a tangy tomato-based delight, added a kick that invigorated the palate. Each bite was a symphony of flavors, masterfully balanced to highlight the dosa's simplicity and the complexity of its accompaniments. The chaat, a street food favorite, was equally impressive. A riot of textures and tastes, it was an explosion of tangy, spicy, and sweet notes that danced together in perfect harmony. Every forkful was a surprise, revealing layers of potatoes, chickpeas, crispy dough, yogurt, and tamarind sauce, all sprinkled with vibrant spices that awakened the senses. While the vada pav didn't quite hit the mark, falling short of the memories of street side Mumbai treats, it was still a decent attempt compared to other iterations I've tried in the States. This slight misstep was easily forgiven, overshadowed by the overall excellence of the meal.Exploring different locations of Samosa House over three days, I found a comforting consistency in their food that spoke volumes of their commitment to quality and authenticity. Samosa House, with its generous portions, impeccable flavors, and budget-friendly prices, left me more than satisfied – it made me a "happy baby," content with the discovery of a place that felt like home. The experience was a reminder of the power of good food to connect us to places and memories, making Samosa House a must-visit for anyone seeking the heart and soul of Indian cuisine in Southern California.“

“We came here for Easter Sunday brunch yesterday. It’s a cute restaurant with friendly staff. However, I expected the food to taste better…I ordered their classic breakfast pizza suggested by the server. First of all, it looked great. I’m not a fan of the fake bacon because it tastes like paper. After the first couple of bites, I realized the pizza was barely edible because of the amount of big rosemary leaves added in the pizza dough. I had to hand picked them out of the pizza to avoid tasting the ‘soapy’ rosemary flavor… and I love rosemary in general. Just not THIS MUCH. I asked my friends to also taste my pizza and they all told me I should send it back.Luckily, our server took it back right away and gave me the option to change to a different pizza. The second pizza I ordered was margarita pizza. It was pretty blend. But at least edible.I do need to say their menu is probably a hit or miss. My friends ordered the breakfast burritos that they enjoyed a lot. Which is why I’m leaving it 4 stars.Note: very limited street parking and $20 valet parking.Parking: Very limited street parking and $20 valet parking.“

“Wow. I liked Indimex before they changed management, now I love it! I wrote a review 7 years ago with a follow up 6 years ago pre covid. Remember when? During Covid and even more recently, I would order and have it delivered. But tonight I saw they were open and there was parking space right in front so I went in person. Wonderfully warm new owner, quaint dining room albeit small but remodeled and the new owner has plans for more. - feels more authentically Indian with a Mexican twist. Indian movie posters and music, colorful walls and tables. Their Chicken Tikka Masala sauce is the real deal as is the raita. Delicious. The chicken tikka masala quesadillas are reasonable and filling. I'm so glad they survived Covid and with this new management I'm excited to see what comes next. Have an adventure as I said in my original posting 7 years ago. Tired of the same old same old? Support local businesses. And enjoy!“

“I've been coming here for years, I can't believe I haven't written a review! I love their food. My favorite item to order is their mung bean pad thai, although I wish there was an option to get it with soy chicken or beef and not just tofu skewers. The tofu cubes are huge so the flavor doesn't really penetrate them. I like this dish because the noodles and veggies are flavorful. My family also enjoys cashew nut lover dish and the buddha rolls. Those are so filling, I can just get those and be happy. If you like thai tea, you must try it here. So good. One star off because parking is difficult, especially on weekends, and it's a little pricy for me. The good thing is that inflation has led to all restaurants raising their prices in the last couple of years, so I am more used to it and not as bothered as I used to be . “I asked Vegan AF to cater an event for about 50-60 diverse people and Chanel killed it. Our guests said they would be fully converted to veganism if it meant eating her hand-fried crispy wraps stuffed with a flavorable combination of vegetables and faux meats. This is really important to my family who tease me for being vegetarian. She showed up early so we had time to organize things in the party room to best serve her needs and the flow of the event. The pink containers and branding made sure that everyone who loved her food would be able to find her. There were a lot of designers, so branding was important. Most importantly, Vegan AF complimented the community festival vibe of the night. I look forward to eating Vegan AF again and again as many of the guests that night. Thank you, Chanel.“

“Drumsticks dinner was very tasty , good portion. Pepper steak my friend had was disgusting due to the sweet chilli sauce and hers was with grilled potatoes which weren’t properly grilled and she literally had like 5 slices:/ she left the restaurant hungry. Waiter didnt even commented on her leaving this steak untouched… plus I was charged $4 for thai tea(which is far too sweet , didnt like it) and it was happy hour $3“

“Thanks to our fabulous server, Joshua- everything was perfect! Two members of our party had finished the LA Marathon and Josh went out of his way to make sure they got everything exactly as they wished. He treated them like Kings - which they deserved. The food, as usual, was fresh and delicious and fantastic. Major props to the whole kitchen crew for doing such a great job on such a busy day. Also- the grass fed beef in the true blue burger is amazingly tender and fresh. Only to be topped by the grass fed ice cream on top of freshly baked chocolate chunk cookies.“

“I could eat here every day. Part of decision on me buying a house was that it had to be within walking distance to a Backyard Bowls locations. And I kept that condition. It’s that good. The staff is always welcoming and friendly. They do get busy but they’re quite efficient.I generally get green bowl w almond butter on top or the island bowl if I’m in mood for something sweet. Perfect after a morning session of beach volleyballAvo egg toast is also brilliant. Perfect cooking of the egg and toasting every time. Wish they’d bring back the pb&j oat meal bowl“

“Cafe gratitude is a great place to meet up, especially considering the busy area it’s in. It can be a bit pricey, but most lattes in this city are expensive. They are a vegan only restaurant, which means no normal milk. I didn’t mind too much, but I do prefer normal milk. The pastries were nice, and fairly priced. The rest of the food is pretty pricey.Dietary restrictions: Only vegan milks, no animal milks“
