“LA Ale Works in Culver City is awesome! They have trivia every Tuesday, hosted by Lucky Guess Trivia, and specifically trivia master Drew. The questions are challenging, the host is hilarious and it's just simply a good time! The bar itself is cozy, drinks are great and added bonus that it's dog friendly. :)“
“We sat on the patio with a few cocktails we ordered: From LA with Love (tall orange drink) and LA Adelita (Mocktail). They were fantastic!I especially like the ambiance of the bar. It is located in a trendy food stall in downtown Culver City with other ethnic food on the first floor and the bar and its patio on the second floor!“
“2nd time here and it’s off the charts!Love the Asian fusion food - don’t miss these two items, green papaya salad and miso pork jowl! Everything is delicious - literally. The atmosphere is incredible, fun colors, low lighting and jungle animals lurking. Fun and funky spot with sophisticated flavors make Piccalilli a great place to check out!“
“It was my first time here celebrating my daughter's birthday It was an Excellent Experience the food was delicious and the service was so friendly and respectful. The atmosphere was very nice I will go back and recommend to my family and friends ? I almost forgot that the Cheff was amazing !!“
“Baked Bar LA is the best part of my daily routine. Whether it’s stopping in for an espresso, or grabbing a delicious sandwich or baked good, this is my go to spot. The place is always clean, the service is excellent, and I love the vibe of the space! They do a great job welcoming everyone and are fantastic at everything they do!My personal favorite is the butter sandwich…! Mon Dieu, it’s SO good! Highly recommend :)“
“A true dive bar with a lot of personality. Staff is very friendly as are the customers. They have karaoke, 2 pool tables, darts, sports TV, good parking & very reasonable drinks. The KJ, and bartenders are really fun. I call it a melting pot of humanity...people from all different walks of life that are very friendly with each other. It's a comfortable, fun, relaxed atmosphere.“
“What a neighborhood gem! A great little store with a good deli counter, a nice selection of candy and basic grocery items. It's got a nice relaxed vibe, friendly staff and a beautiful back patio and a pizza oven setup! Will definitely be coming back with friends for pizza night.“
“Very eclectic feel to the menu and man was it hard to pick! Judging on how amazing the meal was that I picked, I’m sure anything I would’ve got would’ve been just as fantastic. Would whole heartedly recommend and will absolutely be going back!“
“If you are looking for amazing protein shakes come here! There are so many options to choose from. The owner is always coming up with cool new flavors that always taste great. The shakes are also very affordable. Come check them out and if you don’t want a protein shake there’s so many other things to choose from“
“Pasta Sisters is a real treat and on our list of places to dine at whenever we’re in Culver City. Our kids love it here and their pasta always comes out so good. The never ending bread service is amazing as well. Today we tried the Bottarga, Tomato and Basil topped with burrata, and the Truffle from the Not So Secret menu. We took a tiramisu to go because we were so stuffed. Afterwards we walked our pasta off at a few of the furniture stores within walking distance.“
“I went to finally try this spot on a Thursday for $2 tenders. Ordered 2 cool (less than mild), 2 glow (mild), and 2 spark (medium). They all came out looking the same and once I tried it all, there wasn't much of a difference in spice level. I could've tried the next tier after Spark --- I think .The batter was great - loved the crunch and crispyness of it.I thought they would've been stingy about the $2 tenders but the size of the tenders were a good size.Staff was nice and efficient for a busy Thursday lunchtime. There's outdoor seating if you can't find a spot inside.“
“I love going to Luna for Lunch and/or Dinner, in particular , the Culver City location. It’s my go to place. The food is always amazing and the portion is huge that I always have left over for the following day. My favorite is the Mediterranean Salad.. The dressing is amazing. I add garlic kabob chicken and I have enough for my lunch the following day .In addition, they have a great staff. Aidan and Rodney are always so welcoming and friendly. They always want make sure that customers leave regardless Dine in or Takeout fully satisfied.Dietary restrictions: Plenty of choices regarding individual dietary restrictions.Kid-friendliness: There are kids option meal for kidsWheelchair accessibility: Plenty of space to dine in and outdoor.“
“We found this place on Yelp when searching for a good brunch spot in the area. We ordered a few chef recommendations including the spicy southern fried chicken burger, peach salad (my friend), spaghetti and a few others. The burger is great and the bun is slightly crispy which is exactly I am looking for in a gourmet burger. The sauce is well balanced with a slight tanginess. I wish the side fried potatoes could be a little more though.I also ordered an Americano. Interestingly they served you a shot of espresso and let yourself add hot water to your like. Appreciate the touch. The place can get busy on a weekend. We only called 15 mins prior to our arrival without reservation, and were pleasantly surprised we had a seat once we checked in.“
“Second time here, so here's the breakdown:*Avocado Tartine - 4.5/5 -good bread, but was a little soggy -need a better knife to cut *Breakfast burrito - 4.5/5-a little too panini pressed for me -solid texture mix and balance of all ingredients - I got the pork sausage. Drinks:*Latte - 5/5 *Chai - 2/5 -asked for whole milk...the whole drink was whole milk with a dash of cinnamon -also forgot to add my espresso shot Bonus: *Red Beards Jalapeño sauce is so clutch! Great add on to the burrito and avocado toast.“
“There is a long mosaic hand-made collage on the counter, which depicts a vibrant community. In addition to the colorful colors that make people feel warm, the design elements also bring books in and integrate them into the community; as if to tell Everyone, this is a community bookstore that connects the emotions between people in the community through books.Opposite the bookstore is Culver City City Hall. The bookstore has large floor-to-ceiling windows and the interior space is spacious and bright. On weekends, you will see parents bringing their children to the bookstore to have breakfast and read children's books. The bookstore also holds many activities. Today I was very lucky to meet the big doll DOG MAN. Everyone was super happy to see him Everything in his eyes was a group of people A group of friends are chatting here. The bookshelves are full of notes recommending certain books by the store clerks, which is super considerate The display of the bookshelf is also designed and very pleasing to the eye.It provides breakfast, coffee drinks, pastries, books, gifts, cards and a seating area so that everyone can dine and read here. I also saw many parents reading children's books to their children here; the chairs in the seating area are very comfortable and the atmosphere Very nice, the waiters are super friendly and the freshly brewed coffee and brownies are amazing! I love it here and highly recommend it!“
“Really impressed with the food at this restaurant.. great flavors and simple menu items. I was a huge fan of the red salsa .. will definitely be asking for a bucket next of it next time. Fair warning the "black" salsa is HOT.. use with caution. Can't say much about the ambience since I ordered take out but the location is super cute! Lots of window shopping around the area.“
“Food was good, even though we were not aware it was plant based until we started eating. We dont frequent plant based or vegan restaurants, so i dont know, but seemed very pricy for me. Family of three, burgers, fries and drinks was around $75. It was a nice experience even though we didnt realize it was a 100% plant based restaurant. Check that off the bucket list ?“
“Akasha was delightful!! It didn't look like much as you enter but walk through the bar and you've stepped into an open dining space with tables close enough to feel in community but private enough to chat! The food was delicious... we had the avo/beet salad and Caccio e Pepe along with the avo toast appetizer and the blueberry cobbler for dessert. Sitting to note, their happy hour is well worth showing up early for... we did dirty martinis for $10!! The service was on point- Kenny was a gracious host who made us feel cared for! Recommend highly and will be back!“
“A good friend and I went to Cafe Vida last minute for lunch. I figured it must be good since there was a quite a few people. We ordered the chips and guacamole to start. So tasty. I had the chicken bowl which was amazing. Our waiter gave just the right attention and he service was outstanding. It was such a relaxed place and had a great vibe.“
“I had lunch today for the first time. Veg samosas, sag paneer, channa masala, rice and potato stuffed naan. All of it was so fresh and very delicious! Large portions so I had plenty to take home. It was also very clean and quiet with attentive service. I'll be back.“
“I'm visiting from the High Desert today and my daughter lives around the corner. This had to be the best Mexican food I've ever eaten. Hands down fantastic. Fresh, beautifully cooked and delicious. There aren't enough words to describe how amazing it is. If you're looking for authentic flavors, please don't hesitate.“
“Went here yesterday for the Oscar’s party and it was such a hoot! I LOVED the puppies they had in front and that they care for rescue dogs, the food was incredible, the Bingo was fun and watching the Oscars on the big screens felt awesome as well! Definitely recommend coming here for events (eg I look forward to watching the World Cup here eventually) but would also come again for their nachos alone lol! Also the heaters were great once the sun went down!“
“Our server William was outstanding! First time dining at Canopy LA and the experience was friendly, beautiful, positive and fun. Celebrated my boyfriend's birthday here and we will definitely be back. A special and warm thank you to our server for making our experience memorable and engaging. We can't wait to experience summer memories at Canopy LA. Thank you for the memory.“
“In A Nutshell:-MillCross is a tiny yet popular coffee bar that serves some good breakfast in a European style setting.-It was a cold & rainy early spring morning recently, that I stumbled into this place after landing at LAX.-I had it bookmarked on my Google Maps for a hot minute.-I'm so glad I had the opportunity to jump inside to try their delicious coffee & breakfast.-I enjoyed their basic breakfast of eggs, toast & potatoes.-Finding a seat is tough since it's pretty packed, but if you do it's worth it to stay & chill.Overall, I like these type of small, cozy European style cafes.“
“The Pastrami burrito was a hearty, but not a cheap breakfast. Loaded with big salty chunks of meat, crispy hash, eggs, and kicked it up a notch with some sliced jalapenos. Careful with the salsa, the green one is mild and smokey, the red one is fire.“
“First time here ever. Experience was overall great. The owner was super friendly, spoke to us and we had a friendly conversation a little about the history of the family owned company business. It was very easy to order. The gentleman was so nice to even give us a sample so quickly to try. Tried the ube brûlée. IT WAS DELICIOUS. It was so good I immediately ordered it. The owner was so nice to accommodate some special requests and addressed our concerns immediately. Nice and friendly staff, smiling owner happy and excited to talk to us. We are not just a number and we can tell he truly cares and passionate about his business, his product, and customers. Will definitely be back. The price point was reasonable. The place was quite small, and busy that weekend with little room and space inside--but busy is good for the business which means a lot of foot traffic. You can place your order on the kiosks for faster service.“
“WOW WOW WOW!!!!! I just happened to be driving by and decided to stop. And boy I'm so glad we did!!!! The food was just so good. We ordered the Baja shrimp and fish burrito and shrimp quesadilla. The sauces were amazing. The quality of seafood was fresh and delicious. The customer service was also very good. Super clean spot! Nice vibe with great music!!!!!!!!! Will for sure be coming back.“
“Grand Casino’s take-out bakery’s pastries and empanadas are always so totally delicious. Their front patio is the perfect spot to enjoy your coffee and treat in the mornings. Been coming here for a few years and the quality of their food and service has always been excellent. Also- they play lovely music. :)“
“Instagram brought me here for the breakfast burrito and it did not disappoint. I ordered the sausage breakfast burrito on a GF tortilla because I have to be GF. I am very grateful for that option or else I would not be able to try this burrito. The burrito is LOADED with tater tots, just egg, sausage and a chiptole creama. Although the area you pick up seems sketchy its not. I appreciate what they are doing here and the concept is great. Will def come back but I would suggest a bit more egg in the burrito because the burrito is 80% tots.“
“My son took me to this place while I was visiting LA, and I absolutely loved the ambience, the food quality and the friendly staff. Dishes served were freshly made and the taste was authentic. I highly recommend this place to everyone, its an experience.“
“This was really, really good and very reasonably priced. Beware that a small is 2.5 scoops and just 1 flavor! They do have a 4 scoop sampler though. There were 6 of us and one of us got the sampler because he couldn't decide what to get. I had the taro single on a cake cone. It was delicious! We were all so excited to eat our ice cream that we forgot to take pictures. Sorry. Next time!“
“Walkability: In the heart of the Culver Studios and local restaurants, theaters, and Trader Joe’s ….Food & drinks: Bartenders are excellent mixologists…..You will not be disappointed with your choice of libationsNoteworthy details: Historical Landmark Hotel built in 1920s“
“Easily some of the best ice cream that I have ever had. Salt & Straw is originally from Portland but was my go-to ice cream spot in San Diego before relocating to LA in Jan 2020. They have locations all over the state but are usually in newer malls and the nicer parts of town. This location is also new and designed well. It’s large on the inside so it can accommodate at least a dozen people in line, if not more. It’s part of The Culver Steps in Culver City where Erewhon is located. They have a giant multiple story parking garage beneath the ground floor so parking is super easy and plentiful. Service is also very fast, most people know what they want here, but occasionally you will have to deal with groups asking for many samples before deciding (prob the same ppl that stair at never changing fast food menus taking forever to decide).I am sad that they stopped offering the ice cream salt on top, because it really added to the flavor and was unique. I still am a fan though because the ice cream is just that good. It’s extra creamy so may not sit well in some people’s stomachs especially if you have a sensitive one, but the flavors will be hard to beat. I stopped in specifically to try their limited edition cereal flavors this weekend and had to couple that with my fav flavor The Sea Salt with Caramel Ribbons.Overall some of the best ice cream that I have ever had and all of their locations are consistently good. I feel any ice cream fan that has tried S&S is crazy and is really missing out!Parking: 2 level underground parking structureKid-friendliness: kids love this place“
“I seriously adore this place. The staff, the ambiance, the COFFEE/ESPRESSO just all 10/10. This is high quality beverages by people who care and are knowledgeable about their craft. Definitely my favorite place to go every morning, best coffee in the area.Vegetarian options: It's a cafe that offers baked goods.“
“So delicious.Creamy ice cream, like homemade old fashioned style.Vegan and dairy options.Fun Sunday toppings.Quite a bit more expensive than Baskin Robbins type place - $11 for a 2 scoop cup with whipped cream, fudge, crumbles. But it tastes good and they have unique flavors. Still, when I ordered the works Sunday I expected a waffle cone for that price.“
“They have delicious pizza plus a huge menu of other Brazilian snacks and dishes. I don't know how they have time to prepare all of this or how many people come in to eat it all but it's good. We got the corn pizza, steak dinner, arugula salad, beef pastel, pineapple juice, guarana. The servers are kind and friendly.“
“Cafe Brasil is one of my favorite restaurants in Los Angeles. The breakfast special has such a variety of food and drink, it’s not to miss! Fresh squeezed passionfruit juice, yeaaaa. The atmosphere of the restaurant is pure Brasil. Lively, colorful, nice natural skylight. Sitting outside on a warm day is great. The choice Brazilian music playing has shown me excellent songs and artists over the years. Shazam them! The people working here are kind and helpful.Cafe Brasil is a breeze of a spot in LA!“
“Here's a review for Maple Block: Maple Block never fails to impress with its delicious barbecue offerings, but their mashed potatoes with brisket inside stole the show for me. It's a shame that this mouthwatering dish was only a special because it absolutely deserves a permanent spot on the menu. The combination of creamy mashed potatoes and flavorful brisket is a match made in heaven. Hopefully, Maple Block considers adding it permanently to their already fantastic lineup.“

“Cerveteca is a hidden gem for taco aficionados, seamlessly blending traditional flavors with a modern twist. Upon entering, the vibrant decor and welcoming atmosphere promise an authentic culinary experience, which Cerveteca undoubtedly delivers. The star of my visit was the Carnitas tacos. Each bite was a symphony of succulent pork, perfectly seasoned, and cradled by homemade tortillas that were both tender and flavorful. It was one of those rare dining moments when you wish you had ordered more, not because of portion size, but because the experience was so delightful.Accompanying my meal, the horchata was a revelation—creamy, perfectly sweet, and infused with just the right amount of cinnamon. It was refreshingly authentic, serving as the perfect palate cleanser between bites of the rich, savory tacos. No visit to Cerveteca would be complete without indulging in their churros. These weren't just any churros; they were a dessert epiphany. Crispy on the outside, yet soft and airy inside, each piece was coated with a divine blend of sugar and cinnamon. Dipping them into the accompanying chocolate sauce was the culinary equivalent of a warm hug.In summary, Cerveteca is more than a taco shop; it's a celebration of Mexican cuisine, where every dish tells a story of tradition and passion. A must-visit for anyone looking to satisfy their cravings for authentic, mouthwatering Mexican fares.“
“Small little coffee shop located next to the best sandwiches ever! I got the Toffee iced latte (FOX) with oatmilk and it was really good. A bit too sweet for me so next time will ask for less syrup. Also got the spinach and cheese croissant for my son and he loved it. I tried it and it had great flavor“
“Pros: person working the register was super nice, cortado was awesome, and they don’t skimp here! The bagel had a ton of lox and cream cheese …Cons: that being said, I have feelings about my cream cheese ratios and it was slathered on waaay too thick for my liking. Also bagel could’ve been better toasted/fresher. A bit of a wait but not bad.“
“Honestly, the best burger in town. Juicy, char grilled taste, filling and seasoned so darn well. Fricken love it. Plus, you get good friendly attentive service in a steakhouse environment. The cheeseburger is now $21 and to upgrade to a baked potato is an extra $3. BF got his baked tater fully loaded and it was an extra $4 for a bacon (worth it, so smoky and generous portion!). Total for two burgers + tax and tip was $68 tho. Again, so good but not a place I can go on the regular, but you will not be disappointed.“
“What a great find. Not many French restaurants in LA and this is a gem. Classic French menu and everything we tried was delicious. While we live a distance from the restaurant, it's so good we'll make the trip to enjoy this place again and again.“
“We had a wonderful experience dining here and I do emphasize '"dining" as we felt like we were in Europe enjoying the perfect meal. We sat outside in the cozy patio on a chilly night but we noticed the inside dining room was very well appointed and comfortable as well. The four of us had the price fix dinner which was spectacular and so reasonably priced for the the number of courses. I had the meat set menu and my partner had the fish. Both sets started with a wonderful cauliflower soup with no cream that was hot and tasty. After that we were served a wonderful and generous dish of four meatballs that were out of this world. The fish set was served an amazing burrata that was to die for and we shared both dishes which could have been enough for dinner but more was to come. Next the meat folks were served a pasta dish with pork in the best sauce with freshly made pasta that was crazy good. And that was followed with a roasted suckling pork dish which is a Sardinian specialty and a first for me. A huge portion and plated with a very special bread/cracker from Sardinia and the best raw carrots I have ever had ( i am a real carrot person and these were certainly farm to table). The fish folks at a seafood fast on pearl pasta that was also perfect. I also want to give a shout out to the owner and our server who was so flexible. Often on a price fix meal they won't really substitute but one of our group is gluten free and they easily accommodated. And the attention to detail was just incredible. Almost like a fine dining experience but I loved the Sardinian informality of the place. Our server pared our meals perfectly with great wine suggestions. The last course was delicious light lemon pastry in a wonderful sauce that wasn't too sweet or tart and our gluten free friend was treated to some gelato that was kindly substituted. Be sure to park in the City structure across the street as Culver City is quite busy or ask the restaurant in advance where to park so you don't waste time. We noticed so many guests were sharing the most delicious pizzas which must be a Sardinian specialty as well and we are going to try to get back there in the next week to try those as well!“
“This is a neighborhood gem. The staff is friendly, the food is very good, portions are generous. We started off with the fried calamari. The breading was light and it was nicely seasoned. The dipping sauce was flavorful and garlicky. For dinner, I had the Cioppino. It was more saucy than soupy, but I found it very tasty with plenty of seafood. It was very filling and warming on a cold evening. My son had the Penne Alla Genovese. A picky eater, he loved it and that's saying a lot. My wife and I are always looking for new "go-to" places to go for a nice meal, and this is the newest addition to our list.“
“I only ordered through an app, so I can't speak to the restaurant itself. My potatoes with bacon, scallions, cheese, and ranch was really good, as were the onion straws. The baby back ribs were excellent as well in both flavor and texture. The only item that needed improvement were the rolls- they were tough and a little dry on the inside- making me think the dough was overworked or just needs some tweaking. Really great food overall, and I would love to try some of the burgers and pulled pork items in the future, as they look really yummy!“
“Love this poke spot! Has become my go-to as well as a few friends' now. Prices are fair, a little on the higher side but well worth it for the quality of fish, variety of mix-ins and sauces, and friendly atmosphere!Janine is also great! ?“
“We've been watching the 5th season of TOC, and it encouraged us to finally visit, and we were not disappointed. Food is freshly served, delicious, and every bite was tasty. Service was excellent. They were friendly, helpful, and attentive. We'll definitely be returning, Cheeseburger dumplings were our favorite. And the passion fruit yogurt smoothie was exceptional.Parking: We parked across the way parking was $2 for the entirety of our meal, so it was completely reasonable.“
“I come to LA from the east coast once or twice per year and I make my travel schedule around eating at Moto once per visit. The tan tan men ramen is absolutely the best ramen I have ever had. The broth is pure perfection... The side dishes are solid as well and the sushi is simple, but out of this world fresh and tasty. Sam is a great host. See you on my next trip Moto!!!“
