With that, it's delicious.“

Accompanying friends who have been long time patrons of Damian served as personal tour guides through the labyrinth of menu selections that culminated in one of the most memorable meals I have ever had as a native Angelino. What makes Damian so remarkable is the layers of flavors that appear in every dish and the surprising combinations of ingredients that while seemingly so disparate, create a fusion of flavors that one wouldn't think possible in one cuisine. The service is impeccable and the environment relaxing, intimate and simply world class.“

No restrooms available (even in the gast station) You order your tacos at a smaller stand and then stand in another line to the food truck window to get your salsas and toppings (which are all pre-packaged) A couple of standing tables next to the taco truck for eating as well. The al pastor was juice yet tender, I always love the sweet pineapple component and then the avocado salsa was very good. The green salsa had a good kick and the red salsa had a slight smokiness to it. I dress my taco up with all the fixings so I liked the raw onions and pickles onions they offer too. Will be back!“

“The most authentic Philadelphia style steak sandwich in LA! I grew up in Phila, but in the 35 years I’ve lived in LA, I never found a place that could duplicate that perfect Jim’s Steaks style…not until South Philly Experience launched their food truck 14 years ago! So delicious! Then, sadly, they disappeared a few years ago. That’s why I freaked out yesterday when I found out that they now have this permanent location! They ship in the Amoroso rolls to make the perfect Philly steak sandwich. Jonathan did his homework to cook them properly. He gets that shred on the grill just right. They have Whiz (of course) and their “pizza steak” nails the South Street style exactly. Huge portions, quick service. And they have peanut chews and Herr’s potato chips. BEST Philly steak sandwich outside of Philly! Go now!!“

“The ambience is great! Very nice and homey spot. The staff was very kind too. We ordered a bit of everything.Pros:Prices are very good for all the dishes. Nothing was over 15 dollars on the menu. The shrimp wontons and pan fried pork buns were the best items with the most flavor. The beef roll was huge in size. Great for people that enjoy cucumber and thicker slices of the meat. The bean curd salad had a nice bite and flavor to it. They also have sparkling water on tap!Cons:Parking is bad. Getting street parking is like winning the lottery. The other option is to pay for parking which can range between 10-30 dollars. The dan dan noodles and sha gua mian did not meet our expectations. The noodles seemed a bit overcooked and a sauce/acid could have given the dish more of a balance in flavor. Our table marker was taken off the table a little early and that's when we saw on the receipt that a missing item was added incorrectly. “I am so happy to have found a real, authentic Korean soul food place near home. If you like a bit of sweet, umami, soy-sauce, chilli flake flavor, you MUST try here. Thank me later.Last year my husband and I tried the galbi-jjim and was pleasantly surprised with how much passion and soul was put into that single dish. Almost exactly the way that my grandmother would make it. They use only the freshest ingredients, and absolutely no "old" taste. Galbi-jjim was sweet, salty, and nice subtle kick to it.Today we tried the eundaegu, which is fish. Ohh my goodness. Just like last year, the ingredients are SO fresh! The fish, which normally in restaraunts are a bit old, a bit chewy, some even foul smelling, but here, the fish was cooked to perfection. So soft, no fishy smell, and you can slither(?) the fish meat right off the bone. It was amazing. Then once you get to the cooked radish? Wow. I asked for a to-go box to take home little of what was left of the radish because I wanted to eat it again when I get home.Must try.The owners and the chef are extremely sweet and caring. It's hard to find restaraunts with passion, but this is one of them. The way the owner was laughing and helping the kitchen crew, you can tell the workplace was healthy and nice. Will probably go back again in a few weeks :)“

We were fine with waiting as there's a lot of neat shops to explore and farmersmarket in the area. We ordered the breakfast burrito, spicy chicken sandwich, ceviche, and pepperoni pizza. The ceviche comes with homemade huge taro root chips - which was a nice touch! Everything was delicious but the chicken sandwich was really wet - to the point of needing to eat with a fork and knife. “We found Violet's from another yelp review. We arrived just in time to secure a table on their lovely patio. The ambience is great. We had attentive service and the food was well prepared. It is a limited menu for lunch. We found their Nicoise Salad and burger very tasty and fresh. The dinner menu offers a few more options. We will definately be back..“

“Azai is a great new spot for hand rolls and sushi! They give you a lot of fish in the hand rolls and there's a really good variety of items on the menu. The yellowtail and tuna nigiri were delicious and my favorite was the yellowtail jalapeño yuzu sashimi special. Save room for the mochi ice cream for dessert!“

“This place was awesome. First of all, Lena our waitress was so kind and willing to explain the menu to us as this was our first time. The food was delicious, I recommend getting a combo so you can try many different things. Not only was the food good but the experience was amazing as well. Lena cooked the meats on front of us (she cooked them perfectly) and you could add seasonings and sauces. Additionally, the sides are brought by ROBOTS. My little sister loved this and couldn't stop giggling every time a robot came by and dropped of some kimchi which was free with the combo. 10/10 would recommend. We will definitely be coming back soon! Thank you Lena!“

“The place is gorgeous, especially if you love a nice terrace. The food... Is it because it's the only middle Eastern gluten free place, or is it because the ingredients are fresh, or is it because the preparation is perfect, or maybe it's all the small details... I think it's all of the above, one of the best middle Eastern places in LA, and the best gluten free one :) enjoy their manahish!“

“My daughter recommended this place so we gave it a try. There was only a handful of people there… it was a Tuesday. We sat in the outdoor area. We ordered two different veggie pizzas and bread sticks (kinda pricey). There wasn’t much to choose from on the menu. The food was more like an appetizer size serving but It was delicious. I have nothing negative to say about the taste of the food or the atmosphere. However, the parking was insane. We parked directly at the curb next to the entrance of the outdoor eating area. It’s metered parking. We had to add coins every 15 minutes… it only allowed 15 minutes before it capped out ?. I’ve read others say it was an hour meter, well it wasn’t the day we visited. I set a timer on my phone (a ticket would have ruined my day).It was a nice restaurant. I experienced it once but I’m sure I won’t come again.“

“The pre-jam bagel at Layla's is the best thing since sliced bread. Get it on a plain bagel so that the bagel doesn't distract from the taste of the incredible seasonal blood orange and cara cara. Pro tip, grab a wet wipe from the side counter by the napkins dispenser so that you can cleanly devour your honey drizzled, succulent sun-soaked bagel of delight and mumble in joy as nectar-like citrus juices drizzle down the bagel into your waiting mouth. In order of favorites: The pre-jam on plain The marli add bacon or salmon, add tomato on sesame The laika on everything The scarlett on sesame And then, sammy's which is a solid egg n bacon sandwich but not on my list of favorites maybe because we got it on an everything bagel- recommended on a plain. Last thing, but most importantly, the rose petal matcha latte is the best drink in west Los Angeles hands down and I'm still dreaming about it now. *chef's kiss*“
