“5-star alert! My wife surprised me with this delicious Tunisian restaurant on Father’s Day! It was like an exotic trip to Mediterranean North Africa. The servers were good and the owner was super friendly and helpful! We had prawns, fish, lamb, cauliflowers, and the infamous Hand of Fatima. Everything was delicious, with unique flavors and beautifully presented. The sauces were so unique and flavorful, we had 3 orders of bread as we want to enjoy more of the flavors in every dish!“

“Gum Tree Shop & Café is a small café and shop just a short walk from the Strand in Hermosa Beach. It’s been around for a while and feels very much like a local neighborhood spot.

Parking was easy right out front, which made the visit even more convenient. The café has outdoor seating, and you can sit with your coffee and feel the ocean air, with a steady flow of people and dogs passing by.

We ordered at the counter and had coffees, avocado toast with fruit, and a breakfast burrito. The food was fresh and straightforward, and the service was friendly and efficient.

The attached shop is a nice addition, with a thoughtful selection of home goods, cookbooks, and small gifts — an easy place to pick up something for a birthday or housewarming.

“I tried their new Grandma style pizza and it was simply amazing. The cheese crown on the pizza is one of the best I’ve ever seen. Bobby D was serving drinks, and I don’t think my glass was ever empty. I highly recommend this place for the food, the atmosphere and the great staff! I’m definitely coming back.“

“Stopped here for lunch after an early flight in from Ohio. This feels just like a bistro in France (of which I have dined!). The decor and our excellent server Geane made it so. I greatly enjoyed a cold beer with the dry aged burger. My wife's Croque monsieur was huge and killer. We loved this spot, and would have eaten here again on our trip if there weren't so many great options in Hermosa Beach.“

Food and service are always great and Andrew has been fantastic at taking care of our guests on our wedding day. Love their Iris Azul, El Pistachio and all the mezcal drinks. “I was pretty lucky I got to be the first customer but I get to come here only once a month so it’s a big treat for me store is very clean everybody was very friendly and welcoming I only get to eat food like this once a month as mentioned earlier but I absolutely love the number one with fries and that’s gonna be up to 1100 cal so if you’re watching your weight you need to be prepared to make this an all day experience. I love the pepper bar… I’ve always like pepperscini with my french fries but I can only have that every so often lol they have outdoor seating that’s heated they have a fountain filled with wonderful drinks and they’re open until 10 PM Monday through Sunday!“

“I don’t have a single bad thing to say about Cafe Bonaparte!! My boyfriend and I are spending the weekend in Hermosa for his birthday and we’ve come to this cafe 3 times and we plan to come again before we leave. Everything was so so good. The bacon, egg and cheese croissant literally made my eyes roll back. All of the pastry’s are fire. Everyone who works here is super kind but especially this one girl (kinda tall, body tea, blonde hair w/ low lights??? And black claw clip). I don’t know her name and clearly don’t know her at all but I could just tell she was a girls girl. She was great and her vibes were amazing. Okay love you bye🤍“

“I had the jr super deluxe wet burrito with chicken as my protein choice. The burrito was everything that I had hoped for. Great sauce, fresh ingredients and tender meat. The service was top notch. I was welcomed with a smile and exceptional customer service. The atmosphere can't be matched. It's located close to the beach, the day was perfect. Not to hot and not to cold.
