“The most delicious Italian food I’ve ever had. The staff were incredibly friendly and very attentive. The only downsides were the small, wobbly table (we were actually moved twice) and the fact that it was very noisy inside—though that was to be expected on a Friday night. Definitely will recommend.“

“This is our 2nd time here. I came for the pizza. In search of what we had in Napoli. But the 1st time I can I got distracted by the handmade pasta. So this time I stayed the course. I can report i like it! It's still not as thin but it's close. And they have this cheese pasta dish where the cheese is warmed up and then the fixings mixed in. I'll have to try it next time. The one time I had it was in Argentina. Although they boast 60% of Argentines are of Italian heritage, it's probably not quite right. There was also music tonight and the servers were attentive. A very nice night out.“

“I’ve been to Felix multiple times over the years, and in general, I think it’s a fantastic restaurant with consistently high-quality food. That’s why this review is disappointing to write.

The last two pasta dishes I’ve ordered have been underwhelming. My previous visit, the carbonara fell short, and this time the cacio e pepe was even more disappointing.

The cacio e pepe was overwhelmingly peppery, lacked the rich, creamy Pecorino Romano flavor that defines the dish, and tasted like it had little to no cheese. It was nothing like a proper cacio e pepe should be. I had just returned from Italy a few weeks ago, where I ate authentic cacio e pepe at small local trattorias, so I know exactly how beautifully simple and balanced this dish can be. Unfortunately, Felix’s version completely missed the mark. Considering the restaurant’s reputation and premium prices, I expected much more.

To make matters worse, the service at the bar was disappointing. Not once during the meal did anyone ask how the food was or whether everything was okay. A simple check-in could have given us the opportunity to share our concerns while we were there.

I genuinely hope the team takes this feedback constructively because Felix is still a great restaurant overall, and I’ve had many excellent meals here. That’s exactly why these last two visits have been so surprising. I hope they address these issues and bring the pasta back to the standard that made Felix such a standout in the first place.“

We ordered the Japanese pizza, which came burnt on the bottom, with very little cheese and unappealing arugula (even when we requested extra parmesan, they brought a minuscule portion). The warm olives were unpleasantly bitter, and the spaghetti was completely average. To make matters worse, the venue was overwhelmingly loud, and the crowded middle tables leave zero privacy, making it feel like everyone is seated together. Definitely not returning“

We had the Caprese and the Veggie and clearly we could have shared one sandwich as we ended up having half and then having the other half for dinner at home.

For five dollars extra you can upgrade and include a drink and a bag of potato chips. Very good food, the bread was fresh out of the oven and the ingredients were amazing.

“What a fantastic discovery. I was craving calzones and used to have a spot in Los Feliz which I would go out of my way for. After trying a few places which fell short of the mark in South Bay, I almost gave up on finding authentic Italian food locally. The search was worth it as this is now going to be one of my forever places to come on a regular basis. From the calzone, to the pizza, salads and even the Cannoli Siciliani Pistacchio, everything has been nothing short of amazing. There have been two paintings with me in them, a painted recording of this era of my life! Everyone is sort of holding their breath, and for now, music has not been included in January of 2020. “We ended up at Lozio Osteria Pizzeria Bar completely by accident. My friends and I were looking for a new place to celebrate my birthday, somewhere we hadn’t been before, and this turned out to be such a great find.

Honestly, all the food was absolutely delicious. The truffle fries were especially amazing. We finished them so quickly that we had to order another round.

We had bruschetta, a charcuterie board, Caesar salad, fettuccine bolognese, and carbonara, and everything was spot on. For dessert, we ordered a pistachio cake. The portions were perfect for a group of five girls, and we left happy and full.

The cocktails were also great, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic.

And the service really made the experience. Our waiter had such a great sense of humor, kept joking with us, and truly lifted the whole mood of the evening.“

“We went here for dinner on Monday evening. The place was easy to locate. Parking was underground and there were several spots available so overall got there in good spirits.

When we entered the restaurant, the server at the bar asked us to grab a few menus and seat ourselves. The restaurant was completely empty so we had a choice of tables to pick from! The inside of the restaurant was a little dark and dingy. The tables were old and overall, the inside appeared tired.

The server was at our table very quickly. We were the only client so we got his full attention! He was a very nice guy, very pleasant and friendly. We placed our drinks orders and they came out immediately. We then ordered a salad and a pizza to be split between the two of us.

The salad came out quickly and was excellent. Everything was fresh and the mozzarella cheese was very nice. The dressing was delicious as well.

Soon after, the pizza came out. The crust was absolutely amazing, almost perfect. Above all, it tasted amazing. As we were eating I tried to get the servers attention for a drink refill. That took some doing despite there not being anyone else - perhaps, it would have been easier if there were more clients and they would have been more attentive! Anyway, once I got his attention, the drink came along quickly!

Overall, we really enjoyed the meal. They have been around for 35 years and I feel that fact is reflected both in the quality of their food (very good leading to great success) and the furniture (really shows its age!!). I would certainly be coming back here anytime I want a quick meal/pizza and I recommend it strongly for anyone in the area looking to have good pizza.“

“One of my favorite places to go to whenever I visit family in Los Angeles. It’s my grandparents favorite place and has been since they opened. I’ve loved basically every meal I’ve gotten there and you really cannot go wrong with whatever you get. I highly recommend it here. Genuinely few places like it.“
