The crust was spot-on, the sauce had just the right balance, and the cheese was gooey perfection. I also tried their craft soda and loved it — super refreshing and a nice change from the usual. Great spot in Hermosa Beach. I’ll definitely be back!“

“Spumoni Trattoria & Pizzeria has great service, food, and atmosphere! We visited on a Friday night and the two of us were able to be seated right away. They had live music serenading us which made the evening so romantic. The food was to die for, and the wine was reasonably priced. This made for one of the best date nights we've had in a while - we will definitely be back!

Quick notes - it is a small restaurant, so if you come with a group, I would definitely call ahead.
They also allow you to bring your own wine for a corkage fee, so that is also an option.“

“NY transplant always looking for great pizza in LA and I don’t know why there isn’t a line out the door here. Different from NY pizza due to the chewy sourdough crust but the square pie is unlike any pizza I ever tasted. Round pie is excellent too.

“We love the pizza and pasta at South Bay Pizza. Our favorite is any of their pastas. Their chicken alfredo is our favorite, but we also love their chicken carbonara and their Italian sausage pasta. It is all really good.

We picked up our order this time and it was perfect. It took minutes to heat up. We would have loved to dine there, it is so cute and clean, but we just did not have time.

We also think their service is excellent. I love it when a to go order is exactly as ordered and I don't have to open everything first to check it. The staff is very nice.

The prices are fair.

Their pizzas are also great. We love their BBQ chicken pizza and their Buffalo pizza. It is just the best.

“We ordered to go on Valentine’s Day. We had a Neopoltina pizza and a Meat pizza and both were out of this world. Best pizza I’ve had out of Italy, hands down! Be advised that there’s no dining room room there, so you either get to enjoy your pizza at home or enjoy it at the beach. 🩷🤗“

If they want to encourage dining there, they could certainly make the dining room more inviting with some simple, inexpensive upgrades. (Like loose the XMAS decorations and Santas. It's almost March, replace the burned-out light bulbs in the chandeliers, red-checked tablecloths on the tables, don't store supplies in the dining room or where visible from it. Some type of partition around the order counter would help).“

“Talk about OG. This place has been around and it shows. Old western like memorabilia and brick seating. Pizza is spot on with crust that is thick and crispy right out of the oven. They have a bar area for ordering drinks. You can just get a pitcher of modelo while you wait. They have an all you can fit on a plate salad bar and some arcade games for kids. Their meatball sub is fantastic too with great crispy but soft bread. Cannot go wrong with the place. Parking is tough but manageable even on street.“

“Petramale Pizza is a hidden gem in LA! So happy to have heard about this spot because Steve's pizza is not only the tastiest I've had in LA so far, but the man himself is a joy to be around. I'd highly recommend the Margaroni.

Petramale pops up in a church parking lot every Friday which also makes for a fun vibe, especially in the late afternoons/evenings. It is a must try for any Angeleno and I can't wait to return!“

“BEST PIZZA IN THE SOUTH BAY! My boyfriend introduced me to this little gem a few years ago and I can honestly say any other pizza I try since doesn't come close to the amazing taste that Jack's pizza makes. We're lucky enough to live 3 minutes away from this place, so we usually pick up and bring the pie home, but it's always piping hot and perfection every time. I honestly don't go anywhere else for pizza since my first bite of Jack's pizza, and I can pretty much guarantee you won't either. This place has been around for a long long time, I think somewhere around the 80's and I hope they stay around making magic in the kitchen for many years to come. “We stopped here after an afternoon at the beach: 4 adults, 2 seniors, and 3 children ages 2 to 4. Service was excellent, very accommodating and patient with our large group including little ones. “The staff was very kind and accommodating here. I ordered a gluten-free vegan cheese veggie pizza. (I'm not vegan, just wasn't feeling like meat) and the gluten-free crust was delicious. The vegan cheese was much too heavy for me, so I recommend asking for light cheese unless you're into that.

The missing star is only for atmosphere and the crowd it draws. A lot of people were high on various kinds of substances, and I was harassed repeatedly by another customer while waiting for my food. I understand it's a cheap food place that is open fairly late into the evening, but so are lots of places, so it's odd.

Not a place to dine-in unless you need to in a pinch. There are all but two tables. Overall very happy with the staff and food!

“Loved the place. It's a little hole in the wall in the center north of World Market. We were happy to find a new pizza place that has good Gluten-free pizza. We ate outside and enjoyed the sunshine. To our surprise, they offer a discount to heros which cover: police officers, military personnel, firefighters, nurses, and teachers. I'm sure I missed some, but its nice to be appreciated. 😊 If you love thin crust, definitely go check it out.“
