And the Grilled NY steak with green garlic chimichurri, chorizo aioli and pommes pont neuf, thick cut fries…my son prefers over the fried chicken.“

“5-star alert! My wife surprised me with this delicious Tunisian restaurant on Father’s Day! It was like an exotic trip to Mediterranean North Africa. The servers were good and the owner was super friendly and helpful! We had prawns, fish, lamb, cauliflowers, and the infamous Hand of Fatima. Everything was delicious, with unique flavors and beautifully presented. The sauces were so unique and flavorful, we had 3 orders of bread as we want to enjoy more of the flavors in every dish!“

“I used to come here all the time for years and this was my first time back since the pandemic..

I had some lemon pepper wings which were good.. But that was the only food I had so can't really talk about food so much..
The drink menu was a lot different than it was under the previous ownership.. but I opted for wine so I can't speak to any of the mixed drinks.

They still have the music which is pretty much the only reason I ever went. I caught the tail end of the led zeppelin cover band which is totally not my thing.. Never been a fan of heavy metal...it's s very loud for no reason but the audience clearly came to see them and loved them..

After them comes the reggae, which is what I came for and in times past it was an entire band which is what I thought I was going to go see, but it was only one guy doing music.. And for it to only be one guy, it took him a long time to get set up and started..

Solo guy wasn't really my thing, you can't really bring it like a band can..We stayed for one song and left..

The inside atmosphere is pretty much the same as it's always been, you know. Lots of cool people having a good time but the music selection for this time around just wasn't for me...

My suggestion would be to update the Facebook page with who the artists are for each weekend to save people the hassle who don't want to come here's certain bands or people.. Maybe try like some of the restaurants like Spagettini and Kobe's and have a music menu calendar so it's clear to people who they're coming to see..
A good R & B cover band would be a good addition to the music rotation..

On a side note, there has been a older gentleman that I have seen come there for years..he totally gives hippie who was at woodstock and had one too many shrooms, he pretty much stands in one spot and jumps around but it was good to see that he's still alive and well and doing the same thing!!

But for those wondering how it is under the new management it's still the exact same thing.. Good people, good vibes, and it's at the beach so, you will have a good time no matter what.“

“Gum Tree Shop & Café is a small café and shop just a short walk from the Strand in Hermosa Beach. It’s been around for a while and feels very much like a local neighborhood spot.

Parking was easy right out front, which made the visit even more convenient. The café has outdoor seating, and you can sit with your coffee and feel the ocean air, with a steady flow of people and dogs passing by.

We ordered at the counter and had coffees, avocado toast with fruit, and a breakfast burrito. The food was fresh and straightforward, and the service was friendly and efficient.

“This is one of our favorite spots in the south bay! We love it so much we actually had our wedding reception at the rooftop. Food and service are always great and Andrew has been fantastic at taking care of our guests on our wedding day. Love their Iris Azul, El Pistachio and all the mezcal drinks. “We came on a Wed morning and were overjoyed to find this family owned cafe that has survived 60 years I think the owner shared. The omlets were not only yummy but beautifully displayed with like a half of an avocado on each! There is so much love poured into that room! You can see the generations on the wall. I hope it stays alive another 60 years! Thanks Mike..I think we did see that church you got married in up on the hill on our way into Santa Barabara!“

“Visited the bar with friend as staying in Hermosa. We are soccer fans and the barmen all looked after us by ensuring we could watch our teams in the Champions League. \nPlenty of TVs, friendly staff, drinks well priced, tasty snacks and bar meals. All the bar people were friendly, helpful, good fun and made us customers feel good. Would definitely go there again if in the area. Thanks for looking after us.“

“This is our 2nd time here. I came for the pizza. In search of what we had in Napoli. But the 1st time I can I got distracted by the handmade pasta. So this time I stayed the course. I can report i like it! It's still not as thin but it's close. And they have this cheese pasta dish where the cheese is warmed up and then the fixings mixed in. I'll have to try it next time. The one time I had it was in Argentina. Although they boast 60% of Argentines are of Italian heritage, it's probably not quite right. There was also music tonight and the servers were attentive. Beautiful staff that was very attentive. Seems also like a great rendition of an Irish pub right on the beach and near many of the Hermosa motels. Can't go wrong here!!
