“The new Spring Menu at FWD is keeping it fresh and forward. Some new bold flavors like the seabass and seared scallops are some exciting new additions. FWD has continued to be consistent with great customer service and delicious food. Our favorites are still the basics: raw oysters and their signature scallops and the crab cake. Katie Clark, assistant general manager gave us a personal opportunity, asking us for some honest feedback. It's that experience which continues to make FWD a place special.“

“Good food. We ordered the chicken Cesar salad, pepperoni pizza and truffle pizza.The first two were very delicious. The brie-truffle pizza was simply alright.But lets talk about that homemade giant cinnamon roll though …. I’d drive all the way there to satisfy that craving any day!The cappuccino was good too. First time in LA I found a decent capp, I usually order cappuccinos and end up with lattés !The location is perfect, overlooking the water. Would absolutely recommend.“

“I love Love and Salt and have always been very satisfied with my food and experience there. Unfortunately the chicken dish I split with my girlfriends was extremely salty. “Love this place! I think it's the best and the only one of its kind. The ingredients are sooo fresh. It's an all you can eat, but no doggy bags allowed. You can order takeout. The staff is friendly. It's a pretty casual restaurant.“

“It’s a worthy dive bar with a frigging delicious hamburger. We went for the atmosphere having walked by on our vacation to Manhattan Beach and had to go back. If you love an authentic old bar and are happy with a great cheeseburger and chips and can overlook a sticky table and a bit scary bathroom situation, this is your spot. A breath of fresh air from our usual bougie eating in South Bay. Did I mention the burger was delicious??“

“I went to Fishbar for happy hour on a Thursday around 4pm. There was no wait and the hostess accommodated me when I asked for a table further away from the door. Our server Bailey was amazing and friendly! For apps we ordered the happy hour crab queso dip and calamari. The portion for the calamari was a bit small but was to be expected for happy hour. Crab dip didn’t have much crab not sure if that was a happy hour thing as well. Both apps were good though nonetheless. I ordered the Fishbar margarita which was $10 and a bit tart, I ordered the passion fruit margarita next and that was much better. For entrees, it was lobster Thursday so I ordered the whole main lobster special for $45.99 including 2 sides. The lobster was a bit over cooked but good overall. My girlfriend had the shrimp and scallop entree which was also good! Since it was out first time we got a dessert on the house. I will be back again!“

“My go-to place for sushi when I happen to be in LA. There are no reservations, so you typically have to wait, but for not a lot of time. They have the right match of service people to tables and their system works well. The fish is always fresh and the tip is a flat rate on the bill at 16%. It’s a pretty small place, so probably not good for groups larger than 6 or with picky eaters (this is a sushi restaurant and doesn’t have too much else). The only ding is the their app sometimes calls you for your table too early and you have to wait in the restaurant before they call you back up.“

“Excellent breakfast and great coffee/au lait. A HUGE menu with even more options/specials posted around the space. Blueberry bacon pancakes were exactly my style. If you love the fruit, bacon, pancakes, egg yolks and syrup all in the same bite - this is the dish for you!“

In fact, after our meal, we were relieved to step outside where it was blissfully quiet. Isn't there some way the restaurant could offer a loud zone as well as a more civilized zone? The current din is the only reason we'd be reluctant to return or recommend the Arthur J to friends.“

“My husband and I wanted something special for Sunday brunch a week before Mother's Day. So we drove a half an hour to Nick's in Manhattan Beach. I had the crispy chicken sandwich with delicious coleslaw and my husband had the prime rib sandwich. Both very delicious and worth the drive.“

“I had the trout dish, spinach and mash potatoes. I would've given it five stars, but the flavor was a bit unseasoned. However, it was perfectly cooked and fresh. I would of course return and try more things! My mentor had the French toast dish, we came here on her mention and it was wonderful. We saw outside and could see the ocean from our view - the overall ambience was incredible. I seen a sign saying that it was open all night and I think that is really awesome! I can't wait to return. “We went to Uncle Bill’s House for breakfast, and the food was lip-smacking good. We were completely satisfied with our meals. There's outdoor and indoor seating. Uncle Bill’s is a trendy spot, so be prepared to wait. It's usually a short wait. When we first went, we ordered the house specialty, Uncle Bill’s French Toast; it was delish. This time, we explored the menu. I ordered some banana nut pancakes. They exceeded my expectations, and they tasted scrumptious. The scrambled eggs and hash browns were good, too. The coffee was on par with most pancake houses. We love the cozy family home feeling inside and the beach-chic atmosphere outdoors. There is limited prepaid meter parking adjacent to Uncle Bill’s. There is also public parking within walking distance. The cost of food is very reasonable and a great value. The service is excellent. One of the local regulars told me the next time we visit, ask for the natural molasses syrup that is kept behind the counter.“

“My family loved this wonderful Mexican Restaurant that we found while exploring Manhattan Beach! I had the shrimp tacos, and they were perfect. The flavor was excellent! “Phenomenal atmosphere, service, and food! We ordered the fresh kusshi oysters and bread rolls to start. my mom and sister had filets, I enjoyed the coffee rub ribeye. I've had a lot of steaks throughout my life, but this was by the far the best out of ANY steakhouse that I have been to. It was my mom and sisters birthday, and they have never been so pleased at a fine dining restaurant. Thank you to everyone for making it such a special dinner for everyone!“

“I can’t say enough about Lido! I personally love the food, atmosphere and staff. I have also had several events in the back patio area, including a monthly Kiwanis meeting, and they are always seamless. Lisa, Carlos, Javier and the rest of the team always make sure everything runs smoothly. If you are just going to dinner or throwing a party this is a great spot!“

I would say that the hot honey would be the best, still need to try the other flavors. The mild was ok, it was more of the seasoning instead of a sauce which was kind of disappointing, but still enjoyable. The fries were decent, but to be fair it would've been better if I would've eaten the fries then and there instead of waiting to get home. Overall, the service is great, I ordered online and as soon as I got there it was ready for pickup. Great vegan chicken spot!“

“Best meal I've had in years. Every once in a while you stumble upon a place like this. This hits my sweet spot for a restaurant. Nothing pretentious or fancy for no reason. Just super high quality food, prepared with care and creativity. Every dish we had was excellent. Just the right balance of flavors and textures: not too salty, sweet, or strong. Everything cooked to perfection - fried mushrooms were just cooked enough on the inside but not overcooked, and perfectly crisp on the outside. The kabocha squash was the perfect texture. We loved the chunky cut cucumber dish, unique! Lobster miso ramen was so delicious and creative! Who has ever heard of that? So much I want to learn from this chef. Even the plain brown rice was perfectly prepared. You can taste the quality in the ingredients, probably local and organic. Service was perfect, just attentive enough without ever interrupting. Top 3 most memorable meals I've ever had. I get the sense the chef here could have Michelin stars if they wanted that, but have opted for a less stressful and pretentious operation. “They have excellent Philly Cheese Steaks! Homemade chips are bomb, as well as their tots. I got a chicken taco salad bowl last time for dinner, it really hit the spot. They serve beer and wine (no liquor), but as far as bars go, the food is great. Definitely reccomend.“

“You can't beat the beach for the atmosphere. We meet here once a month for breakfast. The breakfast burritos are very good. I had the breakfast sandwich today, and it was also good. I regularly ride my bike to El Porto and have eaten here many times. A good place to stop for the snack or drink.“

“Delicious and freshly prepared Greek food. Between 4 of us we had the spanokopita, Grilled octopus, and tzatziki dip to start. Delicious (although the octopus was slightly overcooked IMO). We had the feta crusted rack of lamb that was cooked medium rare (perfection!) and was absolutely tender and good quality. Friends had the shrimp salad and lamb/beef burger. Both were delicious and tasty. Wine selection was excellent and their baklava was the perfect ending. Will definitely come back next time we are in the area. Attentive service. “Baja Sharkeez is some of the yummiest Mexican food you can get near the beach! Everything about this place, rocks. The atmosphere is vibrant, the specials are remarkable, the food is amazing. “This place is amazing! Everything was fresh. Nothing Frozen! Calamari was definitely above average .My Fish and Chips were hand filleted battered and fried. My chips were hand cut and well seasoned. My date said her Pappardelle pasta was light and prepared well. Service was excellent. Will be my new go-to by the beach.“

“Came here for dinner and was pleasantly surprised. It's an order at a counter and there's about 4 or 5 tables inside (there's more outside). The service was very fast to get our food (didn't wait for more than 10 minutes) and it was pretty decent! We split and got the combination plate and the wet burrito. It was so much food that i didn't finish my half. The combination plate has enough of everything and plenty of onions with your protein if you're a fan. The wet burrito was HUGE!! Only complaint is that is really is just a lot of meat. I would like have loved if it had more veggies or something inside, but i don't think that's what is advertised on the menu either so you really do get what they list!“

“We were going to a different restaurant when we saw Pitfire pizza and changed our mind. We were glad we did. The pizza here was so good. The crust was great. My kids said it was the best barbecue chicken pizza that they have ever had. We also loved garlic knots. The Ranch dressing was awesome. We had our pizza about 20 minutes after we ordered it.
