“Visited Mercado for the first time yesterday after working in this neighborhood for the last five years and I’m amazed as to why I didn’t find this little job sooner. I went there with three coworkers for dinner at 5 o’clock. It was a little early, but the restaurant was about 25% full already. It’s a great ambience both indoor seating as well as outdoor seating. They have a happy hour menu. We chose their Carnitas nachos which although small it is packed with Carnitas and full of flavor for main dish I chose their Carnitas big plate which was amazing and it came separately with tortillas. My coworkers picked tacos from their happy hour menu one picked their fish tacos, which he gave a five star rating and two of my coworkers picked their shrimp tacos, which they also gave five star rating and they said it was very flavorful for dessert. We had the churros that came with condensed milk and chocolate syrup, and it was well presented and really delicious And the server also served us complementary Agua Fresca and the flavor of the day was cantaloupe, which was really really delicious will be there again and our server was very pleasant and fast.

“The Manhattan Beach location is the one that always brings it! Everything is very tasty and the staff is wonderful. If I'm eating in, I'll go for one of the "platos”: carnitas or carne asada. For takeout , the burritos can't be beat: "wet" or "dry”.“

“It's a nice place. The food is good. Not the best. But their service is amazing and the ambiance is cool. It feels like you're in a Spanish hacienda“

“I was looking for a new Mexican restaurant and think I have found one with El Sombrero! I ordered take out, however, the restaurant is spacious but cozy and next time I’ll be sitting down to eat!
I ordered the Viking Burrito (which I thought was a weird name for a burrito), and it might have been one of the tastiest burritos I’ve had in the South Bay! Every flavor was pronounced, the citrus in the carnitas, the beans, the rice and the AMAZING green sauce to make it wet! Absolutely loved this burrito! Homemade chips and their salsa has a unique flavor and is delicious! On top of that, the front counter person was SUPER nice.“

“We stopped in hoping for a good, quick bite between Redondo beach and our Airbnb in Culver City and this was just right. The portions are big and everything we tried was delicious. The chips and salsa were perfect! I had the grilled mahi mahi tacos and my husband ate the carne asada. Our kids enjoyed their cheese quesadilla, cheese enchiladas and Shirley Temples. Our waitress was friendly and our food came out quick. The house margarita was also just like I like them, not too strong and not too sour. Great place for good food and quality service. The parking lot is small and shared with Baskin Robbin’s but since we were there in off peak time we were able to park in the lot.“

“If you don't like flavor; don't dine at Esperanza! Every bite was an explosion of goodness. Our waiter was attentive, an awesome spirit, and knew the menu. His recommendations met with our approval. Esperanza exceeded our expectations. Will dine here again.“
