“Such a tasty little spot. I was looking for a good place for lunch today while I was up in LA. The good reviews did not lie. I had a shrimp and a beef taco. Everything was fresh and so tasty, and really reasonably priced. Service was fast and friendly.“

“El Chato Taco Truck:
A popular local taco truck known for its authentic, flavorful Mexican street food. The tacos are made with fresh ingredients and bold seasonings, delivering a satisfying punch of flavor in every bite. Favorites include carne asada and al pastor, with generous portions and well-balanced toppings. The vibe is casual and laid-back, perfect for a quick, tasty meal on the go. Great value for money, making it a must-try for taco lovers seeking genuine street-style eats.“

“This was our very first stop in Los Angeles, and honestly, Benny’s Tacos set the bar impossibly high for everything that came after.
The bowl was absolutely surreal, fresh, flavorful, and perfectly put together. But the real showstopper was the burrito. I’m not exaggerating when I say it’s the best burrito I’ve ever had in my life. The combination of pinto beans and carne asada was pure perfection, smoky, tender meat with creamy beans wrapped in every bite. The kind of thing you think about long after you’ve left.
If you’re landing in LA and don’t know where to start, start here. You won’t regret it.“

“We went to this place late night after a magic show. I had never heard of it before and it was right next door on 4th Street. They have a small A-frame sign out front which says best tacos in Santa Monica and they are not wrong! The feature a wide variety of tacos with homemade tortillas which were authentic and flavorful. It's a small location but can fit large parties play I strongly suggest going there if you want to satisfy your taco fix.“

“I have yet to have better, real authentic Mexican food in my life. Yes, there are plenty of solid options for tacos in LA, but La Fiesta Brava is everything you want in every single bite. It’s a quaint family run Mexican eatery transporting you through time (back to your childhood with the juicy fruit gum) and space. You are part of the family here. My favorite part of the experience was eating the steak fajitas and the carnitas tacos, as I reminisced on childhood meals with my parents when we were first introduced to Mexican food in the US. What a blessing it is for restaurants like this to still exist - nothing beats the rich flavors and exceptional customer service at La Fiesta Brava. 10/10 - I will come here every single time for a traditional homemade meal and leave every single time with a happy heart and stomach.“

“La Fonda of Inglewood was a really good experience overall. The food was good, the space was clean, and the whole restaurant felt inviting from the moment we walked in. It has a low-key, relaxed atmosphere, but also a fun personality that makes it stand out. The signage throughout the restaurant is in both English and Spanish, and some of it includes jokes and puns, which gives the place a lighthearted and welcoming feel.
One thing I appreciated right away was that they start you off with one free serving of chips, salsa, and bean dip. That was a nice touch and a great way to begin the meal. They also have a self-serve water station, which is convenient, and even that area has personality with a themed word search.
Their menu is thoughtful and has something for everyone. They serve breakfast all day, which is always a plus. They also offer a specific vegetarian/vegan menu and a dedicated kids menu, so it feels like they really try to accommodate different needs and preferences.
The food itself was fresh, clean, and well prepared. They offer all of the standard Mexican fare, but it tastes like it is made with care. We tried the crunchy tacos, wet burritos, and fish plates, and everything was flavorful and satisfying.
Overall, La Fonda is a clean, inviting restaurant with good food, a fun sense of humor, and menu options that make it easy for a variety of people to enjoy. It feels comfortable, casual, and well put together. I would definitely go back.“

“This is a great example of how LA street mexican food culture is like.
This place has one of the best pastor tacos in LA. Their meats are well seasoned and are not dry. Their salsas have great flavor and heat.
The lines can be long but it is worth the wait. You just can't beat this place when it comes to taste, quality, and price.“

“The perfect stop right before or after a flight (or both). The birria and the soup are perfection. It feels so light without the heavy comatose food feeling. I’ve tried several things on the menu and they are all top notch! I can’t rave enough about this place. Best food truck in the LAX vicinity. The owners attention to detail and making sure that his guests are satisfied goes far beyond expectations. The food quality is amazing and it keeps me coming back.“

“Wandered in from the pier after looking at close restaurants with great Google reviews. Oscar made my meal really enjoyable. He made a delicious Oaxacan Old Fashioned (hint: ask for a Tajin rim) and the tacos were delicious. Highly recommend for friendly staff, delicious tacos (although this is NOT a taco place), and yummy drinks!“

“We came in on January 1st and there was only one person sitting inside eating. We grabbed some menus and sat down and waited for a short while before someone came in from the back to take our order. Just one guy taking orders and in the kitchen, he was still able to get our food and the food for the few other people who came in after us out really quickly. The food was great, and the guy working was super nice. Come to find out towards the end of our meal that they were not actually open today. He’s there every day and his friend had come by so he let him in to eat and we just happened to get there when the door was unlocked. I (and I overheard the other patrons expressing the same sentiment) was very apologetic but he said it was fine, “I like it” he said. I still feel kind of bad about it but it was also kind of lovely, what a sweet heart.“

“The service is friendly and fast and delightful. My daughter loves their salsa for chips …it’s the only salsa she likes. Service is so sincere and attentive. It’s our first time here and it’s super cozy and the food is absolutely the best Mexican I have had. There are lights on the ceiling and it’s super Duper beautiful.“

“Perhaps the best Al pastor tacos I’ve ever had, inarguably the best I’ve ever been served in a parking lot. The orange sauce is far spicier than you think it’ll be but that shouldn’t inhibit you from pouring it on. The passionfruit juice was a beautiful and refreshing way to recover from the heat! Worth going out of your way for and EXCEPTIONAL bang for your buck“
“What an amazing experience. I sampled some Horchata and bought a bag of Horchata Mix before I even ordered it was so good and can’t wait to make at home. Staff was friendly, kitchen was super clean and the flavors from the Taco Bistec en Salsa Rojo were so good. I paired it with the habanero salsa which had a nice kick to it. The Chile RellenonTaco was also a very special experience combining so many flavors and textures. Can’t wait to go back!!!“

“I’ve been here twice in last week, and absolutely LOVE the red enchiladas. I’ve been missing the enchiladas back in my hometown and these have the same homemade feel. The chips are incredible, and the mild salsa with cilantro is to die for. Will definitely be making this a frequent stop of mine here in Los Angeles. So happy I found this place, if you’re on the fence about going, go try it!! You won’t be disappointed.“

“If you are looking for halal Mexican food, that's the right address. I always take my guests to any of the Papi restaurants if they want to try Mexican cuisine - but I like the Santa Monica vibes more. Definitely recommended! And don't skip their beverages, each of them is an authentic gem.“
