Beautiful little restaraunt by Manhattan Beach Pier. I’m there every year end of Aug.
Everything looks delicious 🤤 pineapple ceviche is great
I literally drive from Huntington Beach to Manhattan Beach JUST for Esperanza! The ceviche de los cabos, farm margarita, and short rib taquitos are must-try's! Just make sure to give yourself plenty of time to park if you're driving there. But I can assure you, the food and ambiance is worth the parking hassle!

Esperanza Cocina de la Playa offers an upscale Mexican dining experience that delights guests with its amazing and attentive staff. The hostess and waitstaff ensure that guests have everything they need, often without even asking. The ambiance creates a pleasant and special atmosphere with lots of candles, low light, and curved walls. Instead of chips and salsa, guests are served warm flour tortillas with two salsas and butter, all of which are fresh and delicious. The menu features excellent dishes like short rib taquitos and tostada salad with shredded short ribs, both of which have received high praise. The food presentation is top-notch, and the drinks, including the Grande Cadillac Margarita, are delicately prepared, though some cocktails may be sweeter than expected. The atmosphere can be lively and a bit loud, especially upstairs, but guests can request to move to the outdoor patio for a more intimate experience. The rooftop offers a cozy, quiet, and perfectly warm setting. Overall, the food is delicious, and the experience is great, making it a highly recommended spot for a celebration or a meal with an even better atmosphere. Although the restaurant is more expensive than typical Mexican eateries, its quality and vibrant vibe make it worth the extra cost.
