The Kettle is my go-to when friends or family arrive on a red-eye or when I just want a relaxing breakfast w/o dishes. Consistent food, comfortable booths, no nonsense, and exactly the kind of place that won’t irritate you. “Locally world famous” sounds ambitious, but in this case, yup.
The turkey vegetable soup? Really really good! The salad? Huge! The bran muffin? Spectacular! Good restaurant, great location.
We hadn't been to The Kettle in many years. It's still the same place. The wait time for late morning on a Sunday wasn't bad. We only waited about 10 minutes, if that. Our food server was good, she didn't forget anything. She was very busy and so east the entire restaurant, so we didn't see her as often as we'd like to have for coffee refills, etc. We knew she was doing her best and we appreciated her.
