“I chose to come here because I saw a review mentioning a family atmosphere and man was that accurate. Carlos who was running the counter made me feel right at home and got me the most amazing 4 carne asada tacos and a custom order of just some eggs. He checked on me and was just so kind. The vibe in there was amazing and the tacos/eggs were aswell. Will be back next time im in LA.“

“Great spot for breakfast. Table service. The best Cafe de Olla I've had in a while, with a free refill while you're dining. Super friendly and attentive staff. The breakfast burrito was fresh, a big size, chewy tortilla and the filling chopped small so it's well spread throughout. Comes with salsa that's mild and flavorful. Will definitely come back!“

“El Rinconcito Monarcas is literally a hole in the wall that churns out some tasty food. The parking lot is small and shared with a few other businesses. There aren't a lot of spots, so one might need to hunt for street parking during peak hours. The do have a patio for outdoor seating, not optimal when presented with challenging weather circumstances. My order came out in a timely manner, probably about a 7 minute wait, while they weren't busy, I think they were filling delivery orders as well.
#Mexican:
~ BURRITO HORNEADO w/ Carne Asada - 4.5/5
Just a solid wet Carne Asada burrito. Tasty and flavorful without being overly spicy. Good size portions and friendly to your wallet as well and it came with chips and salsa!
I'll be back if I'm in the area...“

“I visited nays restaurant and it was a stellar experience. The tacos were deliciously prepared to perfection as usual. I also had homemade nachos and salsa. The presentation was dope because the tacos were nicely stacked up on a food holder which made easier for me to pick them up. I enjoyed my margarita. They had nice R&B music playing in the background, specifically one of favorite songs, who can I run to by Xscape. I did feel a little rushed because of the 20 minute labels placed on all the tables. I’m sure that is meant more for crowded days when people are waiting for tables. It’s a small quant affordable taco diner. The customer service was above and beyond what I expected from a group of young employees. They were polite, attentive, and professional to me. They were productive not hanging out on the counters on their cellphones ignoring customers or anything like that. I was blown away and very impressed with how your employees conducted themselves. They were a very good representation of you and your company. I discovered her vending at one of LA’s taste of soul events & have been following ever since. Nay is inspiring because she’s very humble, personable, and down to earth, beautiful inside & out, intelligent, and the kind of person who you want to support or work with in the food services business. You will get good quality service. Nay is a model entrepreneur for not only the Los Angeles community, but all communities. She’s the first Black owned taco catering business that I have ever known of in LA. I’m so proud of her. She’s a proud Watts native, which is basically an extension of LA. If you haven’t already, I’m not sure what you are waiting for, but check her out in Inglewood or hit her up for your next catering event. Love, Light, Peace, Respect, Community, Care“

“Absolutely fantastic. If you like real Mexican food and more specifically Oaxacan food then you will love this. Better than the popular LA locations and less expensive. Beautiful and clean seating area. Can’t say enough good things about this little place. Yummy!“

“This is an amazing Mexican seafood restaurant and the snook is the absolute highlight of the meal! It is absolutely a must if you’re here for food.
There’s a reason they’ve been on Michelin lists and praised in so many articles, because they’re really good at what they do.
The food is the highlight here. Everything else could use a little updating, like the tables are a bit aged and seemingly always sticky as a result.
Overall, if you’re here for good food, you’re in for a treat.“

“My sons and I stopped in without any prior knowledge or recommendations. THE FOOD WAS DELICIOUS! We were served home made chips, black beans, and salsa at the table, and had two baskets of chips!
My sons ordered the carne asada tacos. The steak was tender and savory. Traditional style “street” tacos BUT with a hefty serving of steak.
I had the fish tacos plate. The fish was grilled and seasoned tilapia, with homemade sauce and salsa. The three tacos were packed with fish. The rice was phenomenal and the refried beans were outstanding.
I normally don’t eat tilapia yet this was the best preparation I have had.
It truly feels like you’re treated to inside someone’s home, as the service was excellent and the food scrumptious.
I just wish I had tried more dishes and taken pics!
Kid-friendliness: Plenty of space at the tables, with comfortable seats.“

“Tasty homemade style Mexican food with great service. Had a carne deshebrada sope and a carne asada plate. The sope was easy to bite into and just the right texture. Both were good and did not feel too heavy. They also have jugos naturales (natural fruit juice) and agua frescas! Small parking lot.“

“Came to the El Comalito on Arbor Vitae in Inglewood. It’s a local spot with a strong Hispanic presence, both employees and customers, and I did feel welcome there.
It’s not the cleanest place visually, and I didn’t use the restroom so I can’t speak on that. But what I came for was the fresh juice. They make it right in front of you, carrot juice, orange juice, and you can actually see them preparing it. That matters to me.
The price was very reasonable, and the juice tasted fresh. After drinking it, my body felt energized and light, like I had something natural instead of something heavy.
I would definitely recommend stopping by for the fresh juice.
Not a critic, just sharing how it felt.“

“(Translated by Google) It was my first time in this place and I really liked the food and the service that was given by the cosinera and the rest of the staff. Prices of the dishes are reasonable. The atmosphere of the restaurant was like being at home. I recommend the dish "Enchiladas Supremas" and the entry "Nachos" was delicious.“

“I am working on a project nearby and discovered this gem. This truly a place you don't look at price and when you do it so more than worth all the selection, freshness and taste. 3x a day. 4x would be great 👍 trying everything on the menu. Great job team.“

“Had my anniversary dinner here. It was awesome. The food was very good, I got the birria quesadilla, and my partner got two quesadilla fritas. It was absolutely delicious. The truck looked very clean and the tables were also. The chairs are sturdy. The horchata was pretty good, on the light side and refreshing. There are planes that fly over but it didn’t bother us. Can’t wait to come back and try the rest of the menu!“

““A true hidden gem!”
As a local, I can confidently say this place is one of those hole-in-the-wall spots you have to try if you’re in the area. The service is always quick and genuinely friendly — they make you feel like family the second you walk in. The food? Absolutely delicious. They serve one of the best chilaquiles I’ve had anywhere, hands down. Every dish is packed with flavor, and the menu features authentic Oaxacan food that’s hard to find done right. The portions are generous, the prices are fair, and everything tastes homemade. It’s the kind of spot you end up coming back to again and again. Don’t miss it!“

“Food was good. The fish at the table next to us smelled so good I thought I ordered the wrong thing. But the tacos I had were freaking delicious. I didn't get pictures of our food we were kind of in a rush we started eating quick. The shrimp cocktail was so good it's a sharable amount my wife and I had after the concert (obviously got it to go) it was huge. I had the shrimp and asada tacos with their chipotle Mayo sauce which was bomb. I can keep going but won't definitely recommend this place.“

“I went to get a Malt. They have the best malts made with soft serve ice cream & they have a ton of flavors to choose from. Each flavor you add is only $0.75 cents. I added 2 coconut 🥥 & 1 marshmallow 😋 & got a large. So delicious indeed. I usually get a coconut butterscotch malt but I decided to try different & was pleased with the new combo.“

“La Fonda of Inglewood was a really good experience overall. The food was good, the space was clean, and the whole restaurant felt inviting from the moment we walked in. It has a low-key, relaxed atmosphere, but also a fun personality that makes it stand out. The signage throughout the restaurant is in both English and Spanish, and some of it includes jokes and puns, which gives the place a lighthearted and welcoming feel.
One thing I appreciated right away was that they start you off with one free serving of chips, salsa, and bean dip. That was a nice touch and a great way to begin the meal. They also have a self-serve water station, which is convenient, and even that area has personality with a themed word search.
Their menu is thoughtful and has something for everyone. They serve breakfast all day, which is always a plus. They also offer a specific vegetarian/vegan menu and a dedicated kids menu, so it feels like they really try to accommodate different needs and preferences.
The food itself was fresh, clean, and well prepared. They offer all of the standard Mexican fare, but it tastes like it is made with care. We tried the crunchy tacos, wet burritos, and fish plates, and everything was flavorful and satisfying.
Overall, La Fonda is a clean, inviting restaurant with good food, a fun sense of humor, and menu options that make it easy for a variety of people to enjoy. It feels comfortable, casual, and well put together. I would definitely go back.“
