“Walked here from corner of Sunset and Lilac. The tacos here never disappoint. They are always made to perfection. Down to the slice of onion with the mole taco, and the avocado on the Tinga. They always give perfect presentation and quality. We had a Jamaica and horchata.

If you want authentic Mexican food and you want it served home style and you want to be taken care of by the sweetest lady that will immediately bring warmth to your heart, stop looking this is it. I make this trip from Inglewood and I'll be coming here more often. I came here once and had am amazing experience. My mother works down the street at the general hospital, she had never tried it. She went by on my recommendation and now she's got her entire office hooked. We met here and after 2 years of not being here I realized how much I was missing out. I forgot how special this place is. You can't go wrong with anything she makes. I went crazy and ordered like 8 things the first time because I wanted to sample everything. Well I came back and she gave me multiple samples of all kinds of things on the house and let's just say I order another 6 things to go. All of it amazing. Believe me this lady has talent, skills and the charisma to keep you entertained as if you were visiting your Tia or grandmother in Mexico. Absolute delight and I can't stress it enough, try this before you go around wasting your time looking for other places. This is a little bit of Mexico right in your backyard!“

“We stopped by while visiting LA, in search of good local tacos and Taco La 26 did not disappoint!!! The tortillas were fresh, the salsa was delicious & the al pastor was my favorite! I love that they have free roasted potato’s and onions, so no matter what you get a filling meal.

You order at the food station then pay at the counter with the square machines. No where to sit but honestly they’ll be gone before you could sit down.

It is a block from skid row, & as tourist we weren’t familiar - but like anywhere else, just pay attention to your surroundings. The location is gated and there’s plenty of parking.

Open late and so delicious! 10/10 recommend & would DEFINITELY eat here again.“

Chichen Itza is a small, but confident showcase. There is consistent high quality to the food, which is artfully prepared and served. The dishes include delicacies such as: Cochinita Pibil, Poc Chuc, Relleno Negro, Agua de Chaya, and others. Humble, basic ingredients from the earth and sea, crafted into dishes possessing impeccable flavor and soul.

For those wary of high scoville numbers, the heat is restrained, but you can lay it on too and enjoy the wonderful flavor that can be harnessed from the Habanero.

As it is within a food court, and there is the intensely popular Holbox next door, the smell of ceviche and other uncooked seafood can be present. Finding seating can be challenging as well. Do not let this keep you from going.

Park on the street, and ignore the line out the door for Holbox. The food, and the people of Chichen Itza are worth every effort to come enjoy.“

“Big fish tacos with cabbage, tomatoes and white sauce! Ceviche had fish, crab, little bit of octopus and large shrimps although a bit pricey. It’s still good on a summer’s day. The fried round tortillas were a bit oily as it soaked all through the paper bag. Combo had rice and beans as well. Parking can take a wait but it’s well organized with a staff person directing the cars. You can wait at the take out shack as an alternative to eating inside the restaurant. There’s already a line at 5 on a weekend afternoon so go early!“

“Came here for the 1st time after years of driving by. We got the sampler knowing it was small tacos, but assorted fillings, which is perfect. Also, we ordered a pork tamale, ceviche tostada, cochinita taco, and chile relleno burrito, all items were on their cute chalk board, no prices though.
Everything we tried was delicious and fresh, some of the tacos didn't need salsa, but highly recommend you get all of them. The ceviche tostada was a refreshing bite after those spicy tacos, I almost ordered another, but had to try the rest. The tamale was crumbly(?) dough like we prefer and the chile relleno was also good in comparing it to other restaurants around there, but not as hearty as at a burrito place.
We will be returning to try other items and more ceviche tostadas.
Parking is hard to find in the area when street sweep passes, but there's a public lot a block away you might find parking or bus it.“

“We visited El Compadre to celebrate my uncle’s birthday, and overall it was a good experience. One of the highlights was definitely the famous flaming margaritas. They were fun to watch, very flavorful, and a great way to kick off the celebration.

I ordered the enchiladas, and they were rich, tasty, and very filling. The portion size was generous, and I couldn’t finish the entire plate.

The service was decent, but it took a while for the waiters to come and take our order. Also, the complimentary chips and salsa brought to the table at the beginning were disappointing. The chips tasted like old oil and had a strong oily smell, which wasn’t the best first impression.

The food and margaritas were the stars of the visit, but there is definitely room for improvement with the service and the quality of the chips.“

La anatomía de una tlayuda sencilla hasta en los puestos de la calle es: la tlayuda, asiento, frijol, QUESILLO y verdura, pero… que te cobren el quesillo como un extra…??!!, entiendo la carne, pero el quesillo…????!!!! Eso es demasiado, tal vez en otro platillos en entendible, pero en una tlayuda…???!!! Fuera de eso, sigue estando rico todo.“

“What a gem...hands down the best elotes l've ever had!! The corn man is super nice and super fast at pumping out Elote via cob or bowl. There was probably 20+ people ahead of me with multiple orders but it only took 25 minutes to get through since he's so efficient. It can be so amazingly rich and heavy for some folks but this is what you're coming for! A guilty pleasure ruminating in cheese, mayo and liquid butter and corn. I prefer the bowl over the cob since it's much easier to eat. I also recommend getting two at once so u don't have to wait in line again and it's so cheap. 100% recommend!“

“I got the tasajo which was already good but omg the moronga was DELICIOUS. I am usually not a fan of blood sausages or blood related food but this was so smooth, tender, savory and flavorful. If I didn’t already know it was a blood sausage I would have never guessed. The serving is huge if you eat standard servings you could easily split a portion but we got greedy.

Highly recommended just for the fact that they changed my mind about blood sausage.
