“My companion and I stumbled across this oasis at our darkest hour. When I say that it revived me body and soul, know that I am not being the least bit hyperbolic. This place is a national treasure, and the only reason for American dominance in the world order. Great burrito“
“King Taco is one of my favorite tacos places in LA, the only issue I have is with the amount of meat in the tacos. I have visited so many times during my life and I feel like they serve more onion and cilantro on your taco than meat. The tacos aren't too expensive but if size and toppings are taken into consideration, they kind of are. The customer service is usually good, though they need to pay more attention at keeping the tables and restrooms clean. I've had to clean my own table and chairs because the staff is so busy at the register and kitchen, they don't make it out to the floor as often. It might be a short staff issue. King Taco, get it together. Your customers deserve better.Parking: They are usually busy, not enough parking is available for the amount of customers visiting.Wheelchair accessibility: Ramp“
“Although I may not agree with some of the menu items, this restaurant has really nailed the overall experience. Both indoor and outdoor seating exceed expectations. Even an outdoor automated roof shielded me and my date from the rain. The outdoor heat lamps kept us nice and warm. The food was definitely elevated classic Mexican cuisine. We were there for brunch on Easter Sunday. Me and my lovely date ordered the chilaquiles with a poached egg, aguachile in carrot habanero sauce garnished with paper thin sliced jicama and pinaple (very creative), and a tuna tostada that seemed to fuse Japanese and Mexican concepts deliciously. We had lamb birria with all the fixings. We ate like kings. Our wait staff were very attentive, helpful and friendly. In the end the manager came to ask us how our food was. Great service. My favorites were the lamb birria, the tuna tostada, and agua de palo santo. I love this place.“
“This past weekend, I had the chance to visit Mirate without a reservation. Given it was Coachella weekend, I imagine it's usually tough to get a table here without a wait. Right from the moment we walked in and were directed to the bar area, I felt like something special was about to unfold. The environment was both open and lush, creating a sense of bliss similar to the feeling of being on vacation. The drinks menu was impressive, and I thoroughly enjoyed the La Soñadora, a clarified milk punch, out of the two I tried. We ordered five dishes, and four really stood out. I would definitely order the pork belly tacos, kampachi aguachile, jalapeño cornbread, and the baby gems again. We were too full to try the churros, although we wanted to. Our server was wonderful and played a big part in making our afternoon at Mirate a 5-star experience.“
“How this place isn’t the most talked about restaurant in LA will blow my mind. Incredible. Fantastic. I would eat here everyday if my wallet could afford.Get their Lomo Saltado taco and you will dream about it for the rest of your days. You’ve been warned.“
“Holbox is a must try for anyone who has even the slightest inclination for uni.The food at Holbox really is five stars but their food rating is four stars from me out of [maybe] no fault of their own. This entire market is alcohol-free.I am certain there will be more than a few who agree with me that a great ceviche really isn't that great without booze.“
“Corn Man is my go-to spot in LA for satisfying late-night cravings with absolutely delicious corn on the cob. However, the surrounding neighborhood can be a bit sketchy, making it feel unsafe to hang around waiting for your order since there's only one corn man working.Despite encountering a few arguments with random passersby staring at me, the corn here is undeniably tasty and a definite must-try for those late-night munchies.“
“I was uncomfortable with the place down the street. It looked rowdy. Javi told us to try this place. He said it's been here over 10 years. I wish I knew about this place sooner. It's a hidden gem. They have a huge indoor seating area, cafeteria style. There's restrooms. We paid $120 for two botanas, a dozen oysters, 6 shrimp tacos, two tostadas, and three drinks. Yum. Sorry! We were hungry, forgot to take before pictures. ?“
“I was blown away by Sonoratown. Everything we got there was incredible, especially the steak tacos, juicy with an incredible smoky flavor from the grill and the salsa. On that note, their salsa deserves a special shoutout. I had the pleasure of walking in just as a fresh batch of red salsa was made. Everyone working there was so excited about how good it came out, laughing and dancing around, and their excitement and enthusiasm was infectious. I could feel what a good working environment it was, and how much passion they put into their food. Please do yourself a favor and give Sonoratown a try.“
“Best fish tacos on the east side. Could eat them once a week. Made to order from a taco truck so sometimes you have to wait a bit. Wish they were there later but great for an early dinner or lunch. My favorite is the recommended shrimp and cheese one and soft shell crab“
“Such a cute little wine bar in the heart of DTLA! My friend and I decided to catch up over early dinner here. We ordered the coldbrew martini and the non-alcoholic prosecco. We also shared the caesar salad, meatballs, piquillo peppers, and the margherita flatbread. Everything was delicious and tasty. We were pleased with everything we ordered. There's indoor and outdoor seating available. Our service was efficient. There is no free parking available, but we paid to park in a lot nearby.“
“Loreto lived up to my expectations in every aspect. Last minute they were able to accommodate an extra guest for our table, which was much appreciated! Our server (I forget her name, so sorry!) was so attentive and helpful; we had a gluten allergy and she was able to let us know on the spot which dishes had gluten and which didn't. We were coursed so well, with all of the ceviches and tostadas arriving first, followed by hot dishes. For a group of five, we ordered: -3 Oysters Preparado -yellowtail sashimi -Aguachiles Rojo -Leche de Tigre -Bay Scallop ceviche -Tostada a la Joaquin -Tostada Kondo -Tostada Bang Bang! -Camote Horneado -Mar-Esquites -Empanadas de Camaron -Albondigas de Camaron. My favorites of the night were the Aguachiles Rojo, Tostada Kondo and the Albondigas; however the shining star of the night was the Tostada a la Joaquin. The aquachiles was perfectly spicy and fresh with a lot of umami- I could eat 3 servings of this!! Tostada Kondo was also fresh and the scallops were so soft and buttery. The albondigas were an excellent hot dish to share and the green curry they were served in was flavorful and bright. The oysters and yellowtail to start were also excellent. The Tostada a la Joaquin was absolutely perfect; the otoro melted in your mouth and the yuzu vinaigrette was perfectly rich to compliment the tuna. Everyone was so impressed by this dish. The Leche de Tigre and Camote Horneado fell a bit flat for me, but were still enjoyable alongside the other dishes. We had a round of drinks; I ordered the Todos Santos Milkpunch and loved it. Everyone enjoyed their drinks as well! I took not one photo (which is rare for me) because the food and company was so good. We had so much fun here and will return so soon!!“
“Really delicious food. Tiny outside eating area. Valet parking, which is good because this isn't a neighborhood where you'd like to be walking around at night getting to your car.Kid-friendliness: NoWheelchair accessibility: Yes“
“We are from Brazil and happened to find this amazing spot in LA. Absolutely worth the wait. We suggest that you try both corn in the cup and in the spike. I’m pretty sure we will have dreams about it. Super tasty, soft and crunchy at the same time… thank you, Corn Man!“
“Every time I've eaten here it's been delicious! I've been coming here since i was a toddler, many moons ago. This was the go to place for all the "Tia's" for tamale making get - togethers.Across the street, LA Gloria, they would buy the "maza" for the tamales fests. Great times. I don't make tamales anymore but i surely do go for the tacos and work Pot Lucks/Holiday work celebrations. It's not far from work. I give this 5 STARS!!!“
“I was in the downtown LA area & came across this small place. It was absolutely amazing! Probably one of the tastier tacos I’ve had in LA. I liked how the tortillas were very simple, homemade & thin. I ordered two steak & two chorizo tacos. They were both really good but the steak was delicious. Compared to other taco spots I’ve been to in LA, this steak was cooked well & had a great flavor. I went back & ordered more of the steak tacos because they were that good! The staff were very nice & welcoming, & the inside had a nice chill atmosphere. Will definitely be back!“
“I ordered all of each tacos: Asada, Adobada, Pollo, Chorizo, Mushroom with Cebollitas with Aqua Fresca and it was the bomb! My boyfriend ordered Papa Loka with Adobada with Guacamole with Jamaica. I took a taste test and it was good and huge! Enough to share with two people.Vegetarian options: They have mushrooms tacos which are my favorite for vegan eaters.Parking: Come early to get a spot in front of the restaurant.Kid-friendliness: You can take your kids to eat here.“
“Best Carnitas in town!! I been going to el momo for 6 years and it’s the best!!! Just go try it! You’re not going to regret it ?????? it’s a family owned restaurant and the carnitas are the best!! Thank you to el Momo Family for the delicious carnitas ?????????“
“Authentic street style tacos in an authentic atmosphere, tried more than one of each meat and everything hits the spot. The Horchata was fantastic and refreshing after a good meal.Would try a burrito or quesadilla from here on my next visit!“
“This Mercado has so much to offer. Your pallet will not be disappointed with the many different restaurants you'll fine in here from some of the best see food to Oxacan food. Artesanias de Mexico are one thing you'll be thrill to find here.“
“This place had amazing tacos made from scratch. I ordered the mole and shredded beef taco and neither disappointed. There is plenty of room here with both indoor and outdoor seating. The outdoor area has a large mural on the outside walls of LA themes. Super unique and yummy place to visit. Plus, the prices are reasonable for the places popularity.Parking: Small parking lot but lots of street parking.“
“Food is really good you won't be disappointed just the parking & the seats are so so .Vegetarian options: Well you have beans , guacamole , rice , salsas on a handmade tortilla is pretty good .Dietary restrictions: I myself don't eat beef I'm a chicken fella myself . I love a pair of chicken tacos on handmade tortillas with guacamole feel good & not greasy either with a touch of salsa .“
“My favorite taco place. Please blow this place up so it can survive!!! It’s in a slightly difficult place due to the traffic at that intersection but the food is sooooooo good and the workers are all so friendly. Cute space inside and out. Get your tacos/burrito gogo “
“Unreal! One of the best quesadillas I’ve ever had and honestly I’ve always felt like it’s such a basic food. This one though had tons of flavor. Even the mild salsa I got as an extra was garlicky and delicious. The frozen piña coladas 10/10. Glad I tried this on a whim. Excited to try the cocktail spot next door next time“
“Family owned and operated truck located in Boyle Heights / East LA area that specializes in tacos arabes and goodies from Puebla in general. The tacos arabes were a result of Lebanese immigrants to the area and boy are they delicious. I came here later on a Thursday night so it wasn't very busy and it was pretty chill. Just a few other people around me. The folks here were friendly and helpful. I ordered:A taco arabe especiale- their signature taco with their marinated roast pork on this soft flower tortilla. This was topped Oaxacan cheese and slices of avocado (especiale). There was this chipotle sauce on top of everything. The sauce added some smokiness to an already great flavor and texture profile. I really liked that flour tortilla. Quesadilla de flor de calabaza - zucchini blossoms with melted Oaxacan cheese inside a blue corn tortilla. Love corn and I love this. Nice and chewy with earthy and slightly sweet flavors to go along with their delicious salsaDefinitely recommend for tacos/ quesadillas etc etc or if you are just in the mood for something a little different.“
“The menu is a delightful exploration of fresh, high-quality ingredients prepared with exceptional skill and care. From the succulent lobster tacos to the tender octopus, and the delightfully refreshing ceviches, each dish is a testament to the chefs' mastery of combining bold flavors and textures. While the prices may be somewhat steep, the quality of the food justifies the cost.“
“We live in Ventura but stopped by after my postoperative surgery appointment.. all I can say is AMAZING! The cafe de olla and Charro eggs are delicious! We will definitely be back if we're ever in the area! Their service is extraordinary! It's so rare to find exceptional customer service! Very kind and attentive“
“I tried out Playita Mariscos for lunch. I've been driving by for a long time. It is owned by the Guisados people so I expected the food to be good. I ordered the Campechana Mixta. The cold tomato broth was fantastic. I really like the raw shrimp, crab and fish. The Octopus was a little tough for my taste. They have a parking lot, which on Sunset, is a plus.“

From the moment we stepped in, the vibrant atmosphere was palpable, with the sounds of laughter and the clinking of glasses mingling with the cheerful beeps and boops of arcade games. Our experience at ButtonMash was elevated by our incredible waitress, Victoria, whose warmth and charisma made us feel right at home. Despite the bustling crowd, Victoria ensured that our needs were met promptly, adding an extra touch of magic to my birthday celebration. The menu at ButtonMash is a delightful fusion of mouthwatering dishes and drinks, perfectly complementing the nostalgic ambiance. Whether you're a hardcore gamer or simply looking for a unique dining experience, ButtonMash is the ultimate destination for food, drinks, and play.“
“This institution is still beloved by the community and beyond. As heard by customers chatting each other up in line to compare their love for this spot, people come from far away to have their bean and cheese burrito or their favorites they've been coming back for since they were young. It's solid and filling. Find the combo that works for you. Just to note, their classic bean and cheese is soft and is so hot, it's hard to eat it right off the bat so you might have to use utensils but it works. It'll cool down and you can eventually sop up the rest. Have some napkins handy.“
“First time here and we loved it. Everything from the food to the service, to the best margaritas we have had in ages was in a battle for what we were trying to judge as the highlight of the visit. Throw in a festive and lively atmosphere and a beautiful patio and you have a can’t miss restaurant. All the attention is well deserved and we’ll definitely be back.“
“you MUST visit this spot! Had an amazing experience at Tlayuda LA !! The food was delicious, I have never a caldo de pollo that tastes like the one back home in México! Also had mole and green enchiladas and everything had authentic flavors !Service was great and friendly! Definitely going back !“
“Before traveling to L.A. I googled best places to eat. Tacos LA Carreta was one of the suggestions. So after a full day of activities we decided to give it a try. Thank goodness we did! Best Tortas and tacos I ever had!! We will definitely make this a go-to for sure.“
“Horchata was bomb. Tacos are small usually its two tortillas and spill-over meat makes a second. Tortillas were somewhat undercooked. Other than being small gourmet playhouse looking portions it was good. It was more once in a lifetime kinda meal not beefy hearty get full go to work filling kinda meal. Its more like a Go alone buy a second round of the sampler kind of meal. Its pricey but worth it.Parking: Dont wear plaid or red or blue. There was a face tattoo guy leaving the parking lot.“
“Stopped by for a quick snack since I saw this place on YouTube. Got the Goat Birria and an Asada tacos, both were great. Full of queso and real delicious. Lemonada con Chia was no overly sweet and refreshing on a hot afternoons. Worth the stop come check it “
“Fantastic, traditional Oaxacan cuisine. Been coming here for 30+ years. Mole sauces that have no corners cut for ingredients nor preparation. 40+ ingredients and spices in each mole sauce. Ridiculously complex and delicious. I try to find any excuse to come to the area so I can enjoy the authentic fare. They used to have a few more locations, but they're now back to just this one single, original restaurant. I pray it survives. When I think of all the corporate cookie cutter "sanitized" or higher end "Mexican" restaurants that serve overpriced mediocre food, I'm so happy places like this exist in SoCal.“
“The food was so delicious. I recommend the chorizo and frijoles. We had two servers one was exceptional however the other server made us very uncomfortable with his aggressive, bad attitude and rude behavior. I'd like to say I would come back but if I saw him I would RUN!“
“Hands down the best birria tacos and fusion shawerma I've ever had. I might as well pitch a tent outside.Ivan provided great customer service and helped me pick exactly what I needed off the menu. Definitely coming back here to try the rest.“
“I recently dined at Kateen restaurant and had a wonderful experience. The food was absolutely delicious, with each dish presenting a burst of flavor and expertly prepared. The atmosphere of the restaurant added to the enjoyment, offering a welcoming and comfortable setting. I would highly recommend Kateen to anyone looking for a delightful culinary experience.“
“This was my friends and I first time trying this spot. We're from the Bay Area and needed a good hangover breakfast and this little hidden gem is the place to go! Fresh natural juices, great service, beautiful and delicious food!! I loved it I'm surprised it wasn't packed in there! But I'd definitely recommend this spot I'm sure everything on their menu tastes great!“
“I love trying new vegan places but finding a new one where you would least expect, is awesome! Showed up around noon and the place was empty. The employees were really courteous and helpful and recommended a few items I should try which made ordering an easy choice. We (family of 5) ended up ordering 2 Chinese combo plates and a taco plate (one of each). Took about 15-20 min to make which isn’t too bad considering I didn’t call ahead. The Chinese food was good but the Taco plate was excellent!!! Definitely going back to try out more of the Mexican dishes. Plenty of parking.“
“I was on a delivery call out to Artesia and after driving for over an hour to get here I got hungry so I looked at my surroundings and as far as restaurants go there were slim pickings, but out of the corner of my eye I saw this Mexican restaurant across the street from the fast food place I was going to settle for.I'm glad I looked around because I discovered gold!I've been to many Mexican restaurants all over LA county and this one is in my top 3 from hundreds of others. The food is original and the flavors really come through onto your palate.I could taste the fresh chicken inside my enchiladas, I could taste the freshness of the green sauce, I could taste the lemon on the onions that topped my enchiladas, I could even taste which chiles they used for the hot sauce they brought with my chips while I waited for my food. Everything had its own flavor but it was a compilation of true freshness that can only be achieved when you truly value your craft and this amazing restaurant is head and shoulders above the rest when it comes to honest, fresh, and flavorful Mexican food!If I lived nearby I would eat here 3 to 4 times a month. The variety of dishes gives you so many options it's impossible to repeat the same dishes in 30 days! LOL.I loved the atmosphere within his family friendly and I definitely loved the food. You can trust me on this, Oaxaca Village is as authentic as going to a Mercado in Guadalajara or a Fonda in Huatulco.Get here as soon as you can, you'll thank me later.Parking: A few stores in this little strip mall but you can also go around the building to find more parking.“
“Nice Mexican restaurant in the Los Feliz neighborhood in LA. The restaurant had great ambiance and attentive service. We had an assortment of vegan and vegetarian sides, including flautas (made vegan), beans, rice, and fingerling potatoes. The dessert options included vegan sorbets and vegetarian churros.Vegetarian options: Good vegetarian options with a clearly labeled menu. Many of the Vegetarian items can be made vegan.“
“We were warmly greeted upon arrival. They serve delicious authentic Mexican cuisine. You must give it a try. The restaurant is clean and has a great atmosphere. They play light music in the background. The dishes are flavorful. The waiter was attentive. The owner checked in with us and thanked us for eating at his restaurant. I will definitely be back to try other dishes.Parking: The restaurant has parking in the back and there's also free street parking.“
“I frequent this place. Their homemade tortillas are incredible and elevates the breakfast burrito experience. The Chile relleno option in the burrito is out of this world—I think someone posted a review saying that the poblano lacked flavor and I’m convinced that specific person was having a bad day. Their burritos are exceptional in flavor and quality. East LA gem, don’t sleep on it.“
“Found this little eatery which served Mexican food. Looked like a family run business. Their tacos were so good and tasty. Burritos too hot and fresh!! Nice little place to eat and hang out. Just by the street. I wanted the sour cream and Chipotle sauce off my taco. The lady happily obliged to the request. Definitely recommend them.“
“Food was DELICIOUS!!! If you’re craving quesabirria I recommend you this place! 10000/10!!! The cashier was super nice too she made sure we was okay , handle us the food with care! Food came out within 5-10 minutes of ordering it! Super clean “
“Los dorados are one of my top 3 taco spots in Los Angeles, their taco it's just crispy like my grandma used to make them and the salsas are delicious, they make you feel very welcome at their spot in el sereno and the ambience is just perfect, you get to dine just like in Mexico out doors and enjoy their delicious tacos“
“Got the fish special, lobster tacos, mushroom cheese dip and Guacamole of course. Everything was amazing. Ended up making nachos with the appetizers. We devoured everything. Service was great! I have anxiety for no good reason so when they sat me by the fire place, I asked to sit by the window. They made it happen no problem. Had to wait but I was grateful ?“
