“We came to visit our daughter at CSU Dominguez Hills, and were looking for a spot to eat. We looked up some local spots and Guajillo popped up. We were not disappointed with the Chilaquiles! They were delicious and made to order. The food was plentiful and filling and reminded me of my mom's home cooking! Highly recommended!!!“

“We were close by because my daughter's dentist is in the area so we decided to give this place a try because my daughters loves bowls and it was a very pleasant experience. The food is very good and they have very good portions. I really liked the potatoes and also the staff is extremely friendly, we will definitely return in the future. “Finding parking is pretty difficult, but the ceviche de cameron is worth it. Nice people. The interior is pretty on par for small area restaurants. They do have a nice outdoor patio. Delicious fish tacos that are apparently $1 on Tuesday and Thursday. The food tasted delicious and made fresh to order. Will definitely be back to try the rest of the menu.“

“The fruit is fresh and better priced than a lot of neighboring shops. I don't eat fish, but I see a lot of the neighborhood going in for fresh seafood cocktails. The lady here is the sweetest lady. She has a donation box that she sends money to a lady in mexico that takes care of animals in the street, and the neighborhood homeless man stocks in and asks for an ice cream every now and then. She asked him to wait outside and then takes it to him. Very sweet owners and great food.Overall fresh fruits and seafood. I highly recommend you support our neighborhood small business.“

“I only recommend the green chicharrón gorditas, they are very delicious (they are slightly spicy), and the shredded gorditas don't have much flavor, but if you put the green sauce that they give you on them they will taste better. The strawberry smoothie is delicious and very cold. The service is good and the atmosphere is more or less nice but if you are one of the people who are not comfortable in places with a lot of people around you I do not recommend it.

Parking: The good thing about parking is that it is free, and it is also easy to park on the street. In my experience, it was easy for us to get parking on a Thursday at noon. The bad thing is that the restaurant has few spaces to put the cart.“

“This is one of my go-to spots for TJ-style tacos. The meat is cooked over an open fire, which gives it a unique, smoky flavor that really stands out. It’s always tender and packed with flavor, and the handmade tortillas are perfectly cooked every time.

They have a small but excellent salsa selection. My favorite is the chunkier one with a nice kick and flavor. My go-to meats are carne asada and al pastor, and the fresh aguacate on top takes everything to another level. Really brings me back to visiting family in Tijuana and going out for tacos there.

The burritos here are also amazing. Very homemade, like something straight out of abuelita’s kitchen. I’ve had a couple of times where the rice was a bit hard from sitting, but nothing major. The beans are consistently great, and they include cebolla and a jalapeño on the side at no extra charge. You can also ask for extra salsa to go, which is a nice bonus.

The staff is super friendly and service is fast. They accept cash or Zelle, and while prices are about average, the quality definitely makes it worth it. They also offer a good variety of items, so you’re not limited in your choices.

I normally don't get any drinks here since I usually take my order to-go. Try to avoid going to the liquor store located behind this taco spot. Very overpriced for the selection they have. I assume this taco spot has drinks available for purchase.

Overall, it’s a small family-run business that really cares about the quality of their food. Anytime I’m craving tacos or a burrito, this is the spot I go to.“

“The place was really clean, plenty of parking, what I love about El Gavilan is that you can refill the aguas frescas as.many times as you want. The food is great, and all condiments are single.pack and unlimited as well. I think tacos at any time are great and at El Gavilan even better with their Chiles toreados and beans on the side. The food is absolutely fantastic although it's a bit pricey, the quality is certainly worth it. We love coming during the week to enjoy a meal, but Sundays have become particularly special for us. “This place is better than most other Mexican places around. That says a lot considering this is HP. The food is delicious. The business is family owned, so... They will have emergencies and close early sometimes, at other times they will have a slow day. If you are planning to have some food that day contact them before noon. They do need to update the prices on their menu though. With all the shortcomings I still give them 5 stars because the food is so good and I am not too particular about inconsistencies. Just use common sense because it is family owned. You wouldn't be too demanding of a food truck so treat it in a similar way. If not sure about something call and ask before noon.“

“This is my go-to taco spot for al pastor. It’s easily the best around this area. The meat is cooked on a trompo and served fresh, with a great marinade and that perfect sweetness from the pineapple sliced over it. The tortillas aren’t handmade, but the flavor of the pastor more than makes up for it.

There have been a few times during slower hours where the pastor is pre-cooked and already cut, but most of the time it’s fresh off the trompo and on point.

I’ve tried other items like their quesadillas and different meats, but those are more on the average side. This place really stands out for the pastor.

They do have a big selection of salsas. My favorites are the verde and aguacate, both spicy and full of flavor. The pickled purple onions with habanero are also really good, and the cucumbers with chile and a squeeze of limón are a great side. Everything for sides are self-serve, which is convenient.

The agua frescas here are some of the best around. They taste homemade, not like prepackaged mixes. Sometimes I’ll stop by just for a cold horchata.

Be ready for long lines, as this place gets packed during the late hours of the night. The line usually moves pretty fast though, and the flavor makes it worth the wait. The seating area has grown over the years and is available at first come, first serve. However, nothing beats eating tacos over the hood of my car.

Service can be hit or miss depending on the staff’s mood. I’ve had a couple of instances where I was told I didn’t pay for an item even though I did, which was frustrating.

Overall, if I’m craving al pastor tacos and a great horchata, this is the spot I’m going to.“

“I have been a fan of Tom's for many years. They have a great cheeseburger combo deal that has all the right flavors. Today was about 95degrees outside and the factory I was working in was even hotter. So I was looking forward to cooling off in some AC at Tom's. Sadly it seemed even hotter in Tom's than outside. If you are running a restaurant you need to consider your patrons comfort whether you can deal with the heat for your employees. Please get your AC fixed so your patrons can enjoy your restaurant in person, not just the drive thru.“
