“Beach bar, casual attire, great food, great service, fun atmosphere. Patio and inside seating. My favorite bartender in the world, Rocky! Great place to meet friends and make new ones.”
“Harbor Room gets 5 stars. Third smallest bar in America, cheapest prices on the west side. Whoever the man with the monopoly style moustache is makes one of the best manhattans I've ever had. Best jukebox I've probably seen in my life. Wide selection of rock, soul, you know the classics you either heard in your grandpas 73 Chevelle over the 8track system cutting in and out. Or the music your dad blasted in the garage during the frequent breaks while cutting the lawn. My only complaint is some of the annoying regulars who treat the bar like a library and get a stick up their ass when you start talking. But hey I think they are near their expiration date and I'd be bitter too.”
“Great food / selection, service and ambiance. Reasonable prices. Reduced by one star for limited hours and seating. I think they and the general public would benefit from opening at 7am and closing at 9pm.”
“Our waiter Trevor was excellent, and so was the food! so many tasty options! we got brussel sprouts, fries, the bacon and brie pizza, and the shawarma tacos--would get them all again!”
“Where do I even start. I rarely go on Yelp and give reviews, but after going to this place multiple times, I must share the hard work this restaurant puts out. This is truly a gem in Playa Del Rey. Everything about this place is just amazing. It's a small and intimate spot close to the water and has the softest sushi out there. Every bite the fish melts in your mouth and just shows you how good simple and good ingredients can get. I've tried multiple places looking for good sushi but nothing compares. I will say, it is a bit pricey but 100% worth it. The service may be a little slow at times but you gotta give the staff a break when they are working so hard. They are all so polite and make sure you're table is always clean.”
“Tanner’s is now the cafe I go to when I’m in the area. The staff are friendly and the food is great! I’ve had their coffee cake which just melts in my mouth and their banana avocado smoothie that’s irresistibly fluffy. Also my friend and I were grateful that we got 1hr of free parking by shopping with Tanner’s!However, I really wish Tanner’s utilized reusable dishes for dine in and paper dishes for dine out. I spoke about this with the barista and they were kind enough to let me know that they’ll pass my message onto the owner. I hope the owner receives it :)”
“Had a lunch herePretty good and similar to Italian food ( similar.....)But taste of linguini with scallops (add shrimps ) were good ... little bit overcooked but it's OK...Service is good .Maybe needs a little refurbish ..”
“A hole in the wall breakfast spot within walking distance of the baseball field and beach. I've had their breakfast burrito and three egg plate and enjoyed both. Their coffee is smooth. I'm very sensitive to bitter coffee.”
“The food is fantastic, the staff is super accommodating to allergies, and the location is hard to beat. If you can, try going for a weekday breakfast. It's not as crowded, and you get your pick of blankets to borrow to keep you warm. ? Plus, you're covered so the seagulls won't try to steal your food. LolParking: You have to park at the beach. But there is metered parking.”
“It never misses. The fresh, homemade food is always the best. The in house freshly made pasta is the best. Took some friends who'd never dined there and now they are in love with the restaurant.”
“I love the shack. Been coming here since I was like 17. Shoutout to the fake id that said I was 6'4 when I was maybe 5'10. The Shack Burger is a staple to absorb some of the drunken mistakes you might have made at the other bars prior to. I always allude to the shack as a beach bar with food reminiscent of a backyard barbecue with your relatives. It's not a destination that you necessarily seek out, but an oasis that you stumble into thinking you're just going to have one, but end up having several. Even now as I approach 28, I still love the shack.”
“Hole in the wall spot meaning small joint, reasonably priced and killer food. Best pizza I've had in as long as I can remember. Neighborhood feel and vibe on both sides of the counter. If you know the place, I don't need to tell you. If you haven't been, go. If you likes pizza, you'll loves Hanks.”
“One of the greatest Mexican restaurant I ever tried . Their food taste and quality is way more superior Than its competitors, and you can taste its freshness , this is what a Mexican food should be. I was impressed !”
“Delicious oat milk cappuccino (a reasonable $5, not 9 as mentioned in another review), tasty hazelnut croissant, and sweet service on a busy Saturday afternoon. This place is a gem!”
“I don't know why I've taken so long to review this restaurant. I come here multiple times a week. Their food is amazing. It's consistent, it's delicious, it never disappoints. I'm Indian myself and I've eaten at a lot of Indian spots, I'm talking a lot. From fancy over priced places to hole in wall random spots. LA Indian food is pretty on point but I will confidently say Tandoor-A-India one of the best spots in all of LA. It's very good. If you're in the area, or not. GO! 10 out of 5 stars. The best. Well done!”
“Dear friends; I want to thank you all for your constant support and endless generosity!I wanted to say goodbye properly to each one of you, but I only had three weeks to do so. Next time we meet I'll tell you the whole story of why I had to leave.I've been away for a couple days now, but once I know where I'm heading, I'll proceed to delete this post and keep you updated with my whereabouts.”
“It is changing. Went for dinner and drinks. They have a D.J. now on the weekends now. Just wanted to eat have a drink and watch a little sports. But to much action if you want to relax and enjoy food. But times change.”
“Ample and satisfying Mexican food in a casual atmosphere with warm and hospitable service. This is a family friendly place so expect to see families, especially on the weekends.”
“Absolutely delicious!!! I had the best kafta sandwich ever!!! Service was amazing too! It is owned by a sweet Lebanese family! 10/10 recommend can't wait to come back”
“Wow! My son and I ate here for a very special dinner. The ambiance was cozy & finely understated, dimly lit along the neckline of diners to create elegant, artful hyyge -- top to bottom. Our waiter was a poised, warm, & knowledgeable gentleman, educating us and engaging generously with my son -- his commentary and conjecture with easeful comfort and charm. Each member of the staff we got to talk to was equally thoughtful and welcoming, making the meal all the more precious because of these extremely heart-felt connections. The food was artful & delicious, obvi. Overall exquisite. Thank you, Team Providence!!!!!”
“Yes!!! Welcome finally the Dutch crunch bread and all the great choices to along with it!!! Great sandwiches, hefty from X to XXL. Visit this place and treat yourself to a great sandwich!!!”
“Lovely spot with incredible atmosphere and food. The food was presented nicely and tasted even better. Would highly recommend the scallop/uni course and the skewers! the beef tongue was our favourite. As for the bone marrow, it was a little shallow and the miso overpowered it.Overall, I’d highly recommend n/soto to anyone looking for Japanese food around the area. Would definitely come again.”
“The influence of Alice Waters and David Tennis is at play in the $45 prix fixe 3-course lunch, simple, elegant and delicious. The rest of the menu, except the desserts and cocktails, looks to be uninterestingly pedestrian. Recently, a salad of thinly shaved manchego, mint, beets and radicchio first course and a perfectly cooked Sea bass, very plump clams, broad beans, and fennel second course in a seafood broth lightly seasoned with dill were superb, as were desserts that our waiter allowed us to substitute for the third course. Highly recommended for lunch.”
“Best upscale Filipino food on the Sunset strip! Will definitely be back.Try the lechon kawali and chicken skins! OMG! So heavenly! Our server was great and very sweet and seemed to genuinely care that our experience is nothing short of superb!”
“This place is divine. It is true authentic French and you feel like you've been transported to Paris when you go. The food is so finely prepared with quality ingredients and each dish is so unique and delicious. It's my new favorite!”
“The best tripas! Bien doraditas! All the salsas are Delish!!!!! Highly recommend it. So glad they're in my neighborhood. We keep giving him business because we want to stay here.”
“A friend recommended Beverly Bar and I was impressed with the food, service and decor. The tuna crispy rice was among the best I’ve had, the fries were 10/10, and the steak sandwich was just okay, but my friend loved it. The server was so kind and friendly. Lastly, the ambiance (and bathroom cleanliness) were great. I’d def return and recommend!”
“We loved the Portland location and had high expectations when visiting in LA. Fortunately, Farmhouse Kitchen lived up to its reputation! We visited over lunch which provided a special menu option with soup, appetizers, and entree. Service was impeccable - so friendly and attentive. We'll be back!”
“It's a tragedy that Manzke is closing at the end of February. A restaurant this good shouldn't have to close. Everything is fantastic. The food is rich in flavor with a cocktail and wine list as close to perfection as possible. I'd encourage anyone who loves fine dining to enjoy Manzke while you can. Oh, and the butter is heavenly...”
“The menu was creative and delicious. The service was attentive and thorough. The vibe of the restaurant was warm and welcoming. A true gem and I would return for sure.”
