“Walking into Old Lightning feels like stepping into Pablo Moix’s private whiskey collection—rare, curated, and full of bottles you’ve only seen in photos. Hidden behind Scopa, the bar features an incredible lineup of high-end spirits: single cask Springbanks, rare Willetts, unique Balvenies, and other bottles you’ll probably never see again. Prices are high (sometimes maybe a bit too high), but you're paying for access to some truly special stuff.
What really makes this place stand out, though, is Oscar. He’s not just pouring drinks—he’s setting the tone for the whole experience. Super knowledgeable, but never pretentious. Inviting, energetic, and clearly passionate about what he does. He listens to what you like, asks the right questions, and then somehow nails exactly what you were in the mood for—whether that’s a rare pour or a killer cocktail you didn’t even know you wanted. His energy really brings the whole vibe together and makes it feel less like a fancy bar and more like a personal tasting experience.
If you're into whiskey or just curious to try something you won’t get anywhere else, it’s definitely worth visiting.”
“I enjoyed the food, decor, and service. If you want a quiet place to dine though, this isn't it..”
“Hands down, this is the best vegan restaurant in Los Angeles. Delicious food with a rotating menu, beautiful outdoor seating looking over the Marina. I love bringing non-vegan friends and family here because they all leave happy Updated from previous review on 2026-04-20”

“The food was amazing. The service was impeccable. We had a great meal. Thank you!”
“Amazing breakfast and pastries right on the water in Marina Del Rey! Fabulous service too! Highly recommend!”
“Happy New Year Y’all!!🥂✨🤘🏼🥳 As many of you know I’ve been playing piano and singing at Casa Ado in Venice for the last 3.5 years, for a total of 700+ shows. There have been two paintings with me in them, a painted recording of this era of my life! It is unclear what will be happening with the restaurant going forward, as there may be some ownership change. Everyone is sort of holding their breath, and for now, music has not been included in January of 2020. There is talk it could go either way in Feb. 🤷🏻♂️ Thank you all who have come and supported me these past few years on Washington Square and I will keep everyone posted as to what settles out in the next bit of time. For now, I am looking at all the possibilities and have some cool projects lined up on the horizon. Add me as a friend, Stay in touch, and wishing you all the best decade yet! 🥂✨🥳🤘🏼 Love, Mike 🎹🎤❤️”

“Valentine's Day preset menu was delicious. Service was very slow from checking in to getting our waiter to the table to take our order and finally take our payment. The atmosphere was casual and relaxed. Convenient Valet parking. It was our first time visiting Dear Jane, so we'll have to give it another try during not too busy time.”

“I stopped by HiHo Cheeseburger in Marina del Rey around 3 p.m. on a Saturday, that magical hour when parking is neither impossible nor easy. The restaurant shares a gated lot with REI, which kindly validates two hours.
Inside, the vibe was steady but calm. I ordered the HiHo Double and fries, which arrived in a leisurely fifteen minutes, a dignified wait for 100% grass-fed, grass-finished Wagyu. The burger, though smaller than an In-N-Out Double-Double, was excellent: melty cheese, slow-cooked onions, and crisp lettuce. The fries were fine, but McDonald’s and the BK Lounge can rest easy.
At $10.45, HiHo is in a higher price category than In-N-Out and Shakeshack, but of comparable quality of taste. Worth a visit, but not at the top of my LA/OC burger rotation.
Still a solid 4 stars”

“Wow, the pizza and salad were sooo good!! It took me back to my trip to Italy. The staff was super friendly and attentive too. We accidentally walked in a few minutes before they opened and were super chill about it. They greeted us, sat us at a table, and asked what we would like to drink (A++ customer service).”
“We met up with some friends when visiting Marina Del Rey and enjoyed a premium experience. They cooked up everything right in front of us, switching out the grill plates between meats and keeping things fresh.
Our group of 4 shared:
🥩 Set A - brisket, boneless shortrib, signature bulgogi
🍗 Namoo House Chicken
🥟 Dumplings
The set was for 2 people, but it comes with sides like salad, corn cheese, veggie pancake and typical bonchon. They even make ramen at the end, so coupled with the chicken and dumplings we ordered, this was more than enough food.
Excellent service, gorgeous clean interiors, generous portions and perfectly seasoned meats - this spot ticks all the boxes 😋”

“I went there for my first time today and my family and I loved it. My dads side of the family is from Chihuahua Mexico 🇲🇽 and it was great to enjoy such great food. The prices are so great. I highly recommend this place! I had the Machaca plate and my mom and grandma had the chili relleno enchiladas plate.”
“SUGARFISH has completely ruined all other sushi for me! à
Ever since I tried their
incredible lobster rolls, I simply can't enjoy sushi anywhere else. The quality and freshness are on a whole different level.
The service is always efficient, and even though they don't take reservations, the wait is absolutely worth it. If you're a fan of melt-in-your-mouth fish and perfect warm rice, this is the place. Highly recommend, but be warned: you might never want to eat sushi anywhere else
again”
“A very good place to dine and enjoy many kind of beer from lager, pilsner, IPA, stout, and many more. Tasting menu is absolutely a must for first timer. Indoor and outdoor dining area with brewery inspired industrial ambience, Firestone walker brewing company is a place to visit for all beer connoisseurs.”
“We come to Enya often, and love the food and vibe. The rolls are creative, the fish always fresh, and the chefs and staff are welcoming and attentive. One of our fave spots in Venice/MDR!”

“I ended up choosing the vegan banh mi, I loved it. I'm not easily impressed, and I will be back.
I came back and tried a chicken caprese. Also very good and the staff was again so nice. Pedro was welcoming and convinced me to try the fresh lemonade. Guava, Pomegranate, green...Amazing and fresh. You NEED try it.”
“Nice walk-up bar with great food at the pool deck area at the Ritz-Carlton, Marina Del Rey. The staff is very friendly and helpful; they have numerous servers walking the pool deck to take orders, deliver eats & drinks and make sure the guests stay well-fed and hydrated! They also have outdoor seating at the restaurant patio, some with a fire pit. During our few days staying at this property, they came around about once an hour with free samples of drinks and snacks to try, which was really nice.”
“Ruth Chris, a restaurant I hadn't visited in years, caught my attention when my best friend raved about their three-course meal for $60. Since it was Friday, we decided to treat ourselves. We started with drinks, and I opted for the passionfruit martini, which was an absolute delight. My friend chose a lemon drop, and both of our choices were equally impressive. Our waiter, Chris, recommended the spicy shrimp in the fried calamari, and we couldn't resist trying it. The combination of crispy calamari, roasted bell peppers, and a delectable sweet sauce was simply sensational. The spicy shrimp was equally delicious, with a perfect balance of heat and flavor. We decided to indulge in the three-course special, and both of us ordered the steak and shrimp. To complement our main courses, I ordered the brussels sprouts, while my friend opted for the mashed potatoes. As a starter, we shared a Caesar salad, which was a refreshing and flavorful addition to our meal. Despite the abundance of delicious food, we found ourselves quite full. We couldn't resist the temptation to finish everything, but we ended up getting our cheesecake to go. However, we couldn't resist ordering another round of drinks before leaving.”
“I had an exceptional dining experience at Cast & Plow, located inside The Ritz-Carlton, Marina del Rey. The atmosphere was elegant yet relaxed, with beautiful marina views that made the evening feel special. The food was outstanding—fresh, flavorful, and thoughtfully presented. Every dish highlighted high-quality ingredients and creative touches. The service truly stood out: attentive, friendly, and genuinely welcoming without being intrusive. From start to finish, everything felt seamless and elevated. It’s the perfect spot for a date night or a special occasion. I’ll absolutely be returning and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.”

“I seriously couldn't choose what to get because everything looked awesome and healthy. Lots of vegan options, nutrient dense smoothies and grab and go items. Cashier was super nice and patient and made my drink quick. I love that they had grab and go energy bites in the fridge section as well.”
“I’m visiting a new area and I took a chance and ordered from DoorDash. I ordered a half a rack of ribs and even though they came very odd looking there was an extremely healthy portion. (There were not a lot of rib bones, but a lot of the bottom portion of the spare ribs, but I did not mind because it was a generous serving) The barbecue sauce was outstanding and all of the side dishes were delicious. They were running a two for one on some of the sides so I got a ton of food.”

“5 stars. Best hand rolled sushi. Great atmosphere and customer service. Beautiful view of the Marina.”

“As crazy as our Birthday party was, in the bar, our server, Jose, was awesome. There were 2 or 3 other large gatherings at the Marriott hotel, where Singer is, adjacent to the lobby. However, we felt completely cared for. I ordered the classic burger...I am a burger aficionado... It was awesome! I could say that I am ashamed of all the parmesan fries I ate, but nope, not sorry. They were awesome, as well. I don't know if it's a good or bad reality that this place is only a couple miles from my home because...Oh who am I kidding? I would return to this place of great service, atmosphere, fun and food, no matter the distance. Great job Marriott hotel and Sinder restaurant. We will return...often!”
“They say it used to exist in Korea, but is now almost gone. The ice cream is mixed once on a cold stone plate and then served. There are two flavors to choose from in the large size, and you can mix them or serve them separately. Chocolate was better than vanilla.”
“Authentic, delicious and wonderful. A true Venice beach gem..! Highly recommend this place and will be back 100%! Thank you for the excellent service and stellar food. 🤙🏽”
“Delicious, Persian food. Generous portions, great service and atmosphere.”

“Pinkberry drop in and it has been a bit since I have had Pinkberry. This was a rekindling moment. Pinkberry yogurt is made with real nonfat milk and yogurt with fresh fruit toppings that are hand-cut daily. Let's jump right into this review.
This location is in Marina Del Rey inside a bustling shopping center. A few shops and plenty of food options.
Things to know -
** Single swirl or side-by-swirls offered. **
1. Variety of flavor options, which but the OG Sweet/Tart & Pomegranate is always available. Different Seasons bring different flavors. Currently- Summer Melon Crush is available! During my visit we tried Blueberry Lavender and it was really good!!!
2. Variety of toppings offered.
3. Light and low calories if you don't add all the sweet toppings.
4. Reasonable prices.
5. They offer ice bags for yogurt you are taking to-go. I really like this because your yogurt stays cold on the way home.
6. Excellent customer service.
7. Dining in, go right ahead. A few tables and chairs inside. Cute decor. You want some vitamin D, dine outside, location has plenty of outdoor seating in the shopping center.
During peak hours this shopping center is full of folks and cars. Parking can be a challenge. Just something to note.
Pinkberry is light and refreshing - great treat all year long.”
“Today was my first time stopping by Ike's but it most definitely will not be my last! Jake greeted me with the friendliest smile and answered every question I had as a new customer. Believe me I had a lot! He even gave me his favorite order after my probing. *The Menage a trois with french bread, lettuce, red onion, pickles and banana peppers. His genuineness and energy told me I could trust him, so I ordered and joked that I knew where he worked if he led me astray. I am happy to report that Jake told no lies. The sandwich was AMAZING!!!! I also got the Hollywood's SF cheesesteak for my husband. He also loved his choice. I ended up buying two combos. I look forward to returning. I hope Jake is working that day!!! :-)”
“I wanna thank James and Evelyn for being the best !!! I love their customer service and great hospitality I just love it here !!! They both were the bomb hands up !!!!! This is the best location to stop by in Marina del Rey California !!! Best frappe ever Anna cold brew as well !!”
“Super relaxing patio on the waterfront. Dog friendly place, so lots of cute pups come with their people.
The food was good, and nice portions. Above all, the service was great. Going back again this weekend for brunch!”

“Absolute gem of a place!
As soon as we walked in, greeted with a friendly smile, from Brandon, what a great person to represent your business.
It seemed like everyone who works there, enjoys it.
Fantastic menu, good prices, awesome outdoors patio.
Walking distance from my home, my new favorite place, very nice ambiance too.”
“I live in this area. my first trip here was great and I received great customer service and the coffee was good. the second trip I encountered someone who didn't really greet me when I came to the counter even though I was the only one and she wasn't really busy and the coffee she made was not that great because it was almost all oat milk on top and the syrup on the bottom. they definitely have very good pastries but the coffee is more questionable.”
