“This place is seriously impressive. We visited whilst on holiday in the US from the UK and were doubtful we'd find good Italian food to the standard we Europeans are used to so far from the continent, but wow, we were proven wrong!Staff are lovely and the food is exceptional. We had a salad and ravioli, both of which were delectable. The gentleman we assumed was the owner/maite d' was very friendly, as were the waiters who served us. We only wish we'd found it sooner in our holiday as we'd have definitely returned. If you are anywhere near Venice, CA, pay them a visit!“

The timing of the courses was spot on. I didn't even mind the wait when we arrived, we went for a walk around the marina and enjoyed the view and they texted when the table was ready. “Locanda Positano is one of our favorite local Italian restaurants. On this particular occasion, it wasn't quite as stellar as usual. The food was good but the restaurant was very quiet (Easter Sunday dinner). As a result, service was a bit lax (non-attentive). I indicated when making the reservation that our group of 6 would be celebrating a birthday. There was no acknowledgement of it, which we found disappointing as we had celebrated a birthday there before. We'll go back, but this meal was not as memorable as we had hoped.“

Barbianca Italian • $

“Staying at the hotel with my family from Florida. The hotel is awesome. We love marina del Rey and California of course!! We ate at barbianca last night for dinner. There were 10 of us and they had no problem accommodating us. The reason I'm not giving them a 5 star review is because the food was a little misleading, the pictures that we saw and the menu online didn't match what came out to the table at all. It was good but, they should update that stuff.“

“Really like the place, with the modern ambiance and excellent food quality. Apparently the chef had gotten some recipes from Milan in Italy. The ingredients definitely tasted high quality and European. The pizzas and burrata were definitely a superior taste with soft cheese and a more delicate flavor. Bread was fresh and combination of soft and crisp. Go for the spicy oil. Spaghetti with vodka sauce was excellent. The fettuccine alfredo was more average - perhaps a little on the dry side. It has a dark but modern ambiance and a clean new vibe. Best pizza I have tried recently. Service was quick and American style friendly. Prices are in line with sit down restaurants and proportions are medium - not excessively sized. Highly recommended.Vegetarian options: Veg options.“

“10/10Visiting from Vancouver and OH MY GOODNESSThe best food I’ve had in A WHILE!!!My recommendation:- gem salad Is so fresh, perfectly seasoned, amazing texture and so delicious it was the perfect appetizer!!!- tar tar was AMAZING. I recommend mixing it in the sauce before putting it onto the bread that is still warm when they bring it out to you, which is so good. The sauce is a little bit tangy and has a bit of spice, which is perfect and really brings out the taste of the tartar.- spicy Pomodoro pasta was so delicious. The sauce, pasta, and ricotta ratio was perfect.- sweetcorn agnolotti was also so delicious, it was sweet but not too sweet and it kind of pops in your mouth when you eat it and it was very tasty.- banana pudding tiramisu IS SOOOO DELICIOUSThe perfect texture, temperature and consistencyAnd it looks amazing as well. I wanted to get another one but honestly I had to refrain myself from getting two of everything.Highly recommend the food and dessert.Got the drinks too and it was good but didn’t stand out as much as everything else.“

“Little mini mall area where you wouldn’t expect a FANTASTIC meal! Our waiter suggested the kale salad and rigatoni, and WOW this did NOT disappoint. I am extremely picky and kale salads are not exactly my cup of tea, but this salad was INCREDIBLE. Little bit of spice, refreshing, and delicious. We also had a couple of their premium drinks that were also refreshing and worth the expensive price tag. We had the rigatoni and the tonnarelli (which we’ve had in actual Italy) for our mains and both dishes were superb-we shared :) definitely recommend this place based on the AMAZING food, the great service (love a server who suggests the best things on the menu and isn’t just saying it when it doesn’t fulfill), quick service (we never waited long for anything), and overall atmosphere. When I miss taking pictures of the food for a review because it is THAT good, that’s a good sign!“

“Where do I begin? The reception by the lovely group of charismatic hostesses... Our amazing waiter Gregory?…The warm greeting from manager, Josh? It was all an overwhelming dining experience from start to finish.A round of Prosecco followed by a Rosso pizza was a complete surprise The occasion was my mother’s birthday (which I never disclosed to them), and she has never felt so well taken care of in her 75 years! The lamb chops perfectly cooked over fire, hefty salad perfectly seasoned and dressed, fresh pastas perfectly timed and desserts to die for. When the smoke cleared and we were ready to go, mom and pops insisted on finding Josh for a big hug and warm thank you. This post/ review is a late one as Josh is no longer there, but I’d like to express how thankful we were and give the restaurant and team the best review we can. “Pretty awesome and amazing entrance setup in their cafe when it comes to those delectable patisserie section. We got in a bit before our reservation time and were seated ( get a reservation before hopping in there) right away. Jessica was our host and walked us through the options and answered our questions around the popular options, patisserie section etc and we placed our order. We got the Tartufo Pizza ( it looks big but is good for 2-3 hungry folks) along with the Louie salad ( pretty amazing) and a couple of coffees. The pizza was delicious and is a very unique concept with a floating egg yolk spread carefully on the top. The salad was great as well and added as just the perfect side to the pizza.Once done with our main course, we were ready for the desert and ordered a Chocolate and Hazelnut Beignet along with an Almond, Psitachio, Cherry cake ( you would want to witness its presentation for a while before you devour it ).All in all a great experience though when paying the bill I was rushed a bit into signing the EMV chip reader machine and the tips there start from 25% at a default ( so take your time and pay unless you intend to pay 25% in tips) on top of which there is also a surcharge fees of 5% that is already charged to the bill.PS: Shoutout to Bailey as well who was helping us on our table alongside Jessica as well and catered to our requests so very well.Cheers!!!“

“Barrique offers an intimate dining experience with a mix of hits and misses on the menu. The 18-month aged prosciutto and burrata appetizer delighted with its flavors, while the octopus fell short in texture. The standout dish was undeniably the beet pasta, an absolute gem that left a lasting impression. However, the ribeye main dish, though good, suffered from an abundance of fatty pieces, detracting slightly from its overall appeal. The dessert, a Panna cotta with a cherry tart topping, was a delightful conclusion to the meal, showcasing a perfect balance of sweetness and tanginess that left me thoroughly satisfied. The ambiance of Barrique is pleasant, and the service is attentive without being overbearing. While not every dish hit the mark, the standout offerings make it worth a visit for those seeking inventive Italian cuisine in Venice. “I brought my coworkers here a few weeks ago for a company team lunch and everyone had a great time and really enjoyed the food! The portions were large and plentiful, so much so that we were super full and still had leftovers to take home. My favorite dish was the kale salad, which was surprisingly flavorful. The pizzas were also great!I contacted OSPI ahead of time to make a large party reservation, opting for the lunch time prix fixe menu. The whole process was super smooth, and they were very helpful in helping me choose appropriate dishes based on the dietary restrictions of our group (we had vegetarians and gluten free people, both of whom were accomodated). My only critique is that the food took quite a while to come out at the start. I expected it to be out sooner since we had a reservation and had ordered a fixed menu, but after being seated, we still had to wait a decent amount, so we were quite hungry. After that, the pacing of the meals could've been slightly faster, but it's understandable because of the large party servings. Otherwise, service was great.Unfortunately I was too distracted eating to take pictures! The food was delicious!Dietary restrictions: Gluten free“

The serving size was smaller, so we ordered 4 different pastas. The lasagna was as advertised, it was excellent. All other three pastas were very good especially the agnolotti. We’ve never had it before and it was a very pleasant surprise. Highly recommended. The only downside of our lunch was that it had sold out its bread. Other than that, we enjoyed our experience here very much. And the service was excellent as well.Vegetarian options: 3 out of the 4 pastas that we had were vegetarian.Parking: It’s pretty empty on the street at around 1:30 pm on a Saturday.Kid-friendliness: Yes, kids should live it’s pastas here.Wheelchair accessibility: Yes, but it’s on the tight side.“

“A vegan friend recommended going here and it did not disappoint. The brussels sprouts weren’t great, but I got the San Gennaro pizza and it was seriously one of the best pizzas I’ve ever had, vegan or not. Nice atmosphere and I’ll definitely come back for this pizza.“

“Needed a spot for a business lunch and this wasPERFECT! (Thank you fellow Yelpers!)There was a casual elegance, but so understated. They had nice music playing to set a pleasant tone, but it wasn't intrusive. Just a really nice vibe.Fabulous attentive service, too. Never rushed, but always aware. Perfect, actually.I've spent a lot of time in Milan and northern Italy, but wasn't too familiar with many of the dishes, as the menu focuses on southern Italian cuisine. Our waiter was wonderful and his suggestions were great. Turns out his mom is the chef.:-) Which explains why everything tasted so real and remarkably delicious! We started with the Zepelotti - Fried pizza dough balls stuffed with parma prosciutto, arugula, burrata and balsamic reduction. They were like little sandwiches with a delightful combination of flavors. So very good. The pasta was cooked perfectly, fresh and al dente. All hand made. Truly remarkable and authentically Italian. The wines were quite good, too. I had the Montepulciano and my friend had the Sangiovese. We both were quite pleased.Tutto era perfetto! Grazie!Parking: Plenty of street parking“

“The restaurant is located on the second floor of Nerano in Beverly Hills (you have to take an elevator up to the second floor through Nerano). This gives the spot kind of a fun speakeasy feel to it. When you get out of the elevator, you walk into a beautifully designed / decorated, cozy, albeit slightly quirky space. It's not large (I think the capacity is 34). Came here for a food event, which I did a review for separately, but this experience in particular was grabbing a drink at the bar. (I did think the food was delicious though and urge folks to come here and give this place a try. I know I want to come back and try more menu items.) The bar is beautifully designed and organized. I found myself perusing and mentally cataloguing the whiskeys as I always do when I go to new restaurants. But this place looked like a place that has fun cocktails. So I ordered The George Michael. The drinks here are really interactive, and the bartenders are super enthusiastic to the point that it's infectious. My drink in particular had some bowls that floated up and you had to catch it with a paddle. Flavor wise it was like espresso martini with a peanut butter twist to it. All in all this place is a great place to grab drinks and/or food. Lots of fun. There's a lot of street parking nearby, but it could get challenging especially during the weekends. I came in the middle of the week and was able to find parking about a block away.“

“I want to love this place, killer ambiance. Attentive staff.. creative menu.. squash blossoms are amazing.. pasta is very lackluster, I would give it 3 stars at best. Thick overly doughy noodles, sauce lacking flavor. I have eaten all over Italy and I would not even ask it to be on par with that, I have had mom and pops in America with better pasta. Passionfruit gelato was amazing.“

“You can tell the ingredients are quality. Vibes are wonderful in here. Owner and staff checks in constantly and you never have a drink empty which is a nice touch. Only reason for my 4 stars is that valet was $10 when I showed up but $15 when I left. Not classy guys “

“Our experience at this restaurant was top notch. The food was excellent, but the service was perfect. They were so nice and accommodating. It was literally the best restaurant for kids, even though they don't have a children's menu! They offered half portions of pasta for our kids, and made a special "plain" dish for my picker eater. They also were very patient and helpful in dealing with a food allergy. Casual dress was just fine, although the interior and the food feel "fancy." The location is extremely convenient (just around the corner) if you are staying at the SLS hotel. Highly recommended.“

“Food 5/5Ambiance 5/5Service 5/5The pizza was super delicious! I also go the Caesar salad. The pizza was really thin and had a lot of toppings and flavor. I got the white clam and it wasn’t too fishy. It was super delicious and tasted great with the extra lemon on top and the red peppers. I also got the sausage and pepperoni. It was also amazing and had a lot of flavor. would definitely recommend price for a large slice of pizza.“

“Absolutely one of the best Italian restaurants (if not the best) in LA. Not a “scene”...just a beautiful, traditional environment that feels very upper east side NYC. Unbelievably delicious food and the service was out of this world. Definitely a little pricey (similar to NYC prices) but worth it, in my opinion. No “influencers”, no “wannabes”, just fine dining with fine people. Will be back again next time I'm on the west coast and will recommend to all of my family and friends. We were there on Saturday night so it was a little bit noisy but that would be my only issue - if u would even call it that. Personally, I like a restaurant to have atmosphere and a little life. But if u want a quiet evening, I'm guessing don't go on a Saturday night. But I loved it. Thanks for a wonderful evening.“

“We thoroughly enjoyed our food and service. Our party of 6 was well taken care of, though reservations for an early dinner were necessary. Only reason “atmosphere” is 4/5 is because the ceiling was leaking water after the morning rain and we had to switch tables. This is not an issue you are likely to encounter. I will absolutely be coming back on special occasions. At the time of writing this review, entrées ranged from $35-$90 and the quality makes up for it. The plates are well portioned, though smaller than Americana; I prefer it this way. The staff were polite and thorough. The wine/drink menu was comprehensive. For hors d’oeuvres, we ordered the garlic bread (amazing sauces!), Fritto misto, burrata, and winter beets. They were all superbe. I highly recommend the garlic bread and burrata. I was able to snap pictures of 3 of our Entrées: Black linguine with lobster, squash agnolotti, and scallops. Oh, the affogato dessert had great presentation (see ice block picture). Overall, 5/5. I recommend a visit if you can afford the occasion. Valet parking was $18 with “validation”.“
