“Happy New Year Y’all!!🥂✨🤘🏼🥳 As many of you know I’ve been playing piano and singing at Casa Ado in Venice for the last 3.5 years, for a total of 700+ shows. There have been two paintings with me in them, a painted recording of this era of my life! It is unclear what will be happening with the restaurant going forward, as there may be some ownership change. Everyone is sort of holding their breath, and for now, music has not been included in January of 2020. There is talk it could go either way in Feb. 🤷🏻‍♂️ Thank you all who have come and supported me these past few years on Washington Square and I will keep everyone posted as to what settles out in the next bit of time. “After reading that Chowhound rated Hiho Burger as the best burger in Calif, I decided I wanted to try one for myself. And I must say the burger was delicious. But I loved the fries even more. And the vanilla shake, though small was truly flavorful. I enjoyed everything including the complimentary, help yourself water.“

“Farmhouse kitchen is the best Thai restaurant I’ve ever had. On top of the food being great and delicious, the presentation makes you want to order everything from the menu. Chef Bo was so nice to come out to our table and all I can say is she was a very nice, young & talented person. She even made me a special dessert for my birthday. “My wife and I went to the Grove in Los Angeles last night and we had dinner at "Sogno Toscana," an it was outstanding. It was perfect in every way; great food, great drinks, outstanding and friendly staff, beautiful location, etc. I love Italian food but I can't think of one Italian restaurant that I like, until "Sogno Toscano." The food was outstanding, and there was so much more we saw go by that we can't wait to go back and try. And the drinks were outstanding. I love martini's and they served the best martini I've ever had. Giacomo was our server and took great care of us. He's from Italy and "Sogno Toscana" brought him to America when they opened their New York restaurant, and now he's in LA for this new restaurant. Although very busy, the entire staff were very fun to be around, and most of them are Italian which is also great.“

“Warm, hands on and personalized service. A Michelin Bib Gourmand restaurant…Food Made from Scratch, fresh, unique, different, and affordable. Highly recommended! The red onion focaccia bread with herb and Parmesan butter, added Burrata - best- seller, a must. The 3 day brined smoked fried chicken-different taste, with soy and Chiles, a must!!!The Peruvian pork belly with sweet potato , Criolla and crispy quinoa , love it! And the Grilled NY steak with green garlic chimichurri, chorizo aioli and pommes pont neuf, thick cut fries…my son prefers over the fried chicken.“

“Came for wine and snacks before a bigger dinner, but I’d love to come back for a full meal because what we had was so good. Highly recommend the Caesar tartare (perfect crunch to the bread, plus it is pre-cut into bite size chunks) and lobster rilette.

“We went on a Wednesday night and every table was full, which should tell you something. Very good service from the host. We did the 4-course pre fixe menu. First course was an outstanding beet salad - one of my faves ever - and a rice noodle dish that was just slightly under-seasoned. Second course was possibly the star, the street corn. The steak was also an absolute star, done perfectly at medium rare. The vodka lumache was, like the rice pasta dish, a bit under-seasoned. Oreo beignets were great, and the chocolate budino was very good, very rich. We'll definitely be back.“

“Thank goodness for Offhand! A much-needed natural wine bar for the west side. While there are always people here, you can always find a spot to sit no problem. They do a great job of rotating and featuring natural wine, most of which are from California/the west coast — through them, I learned that my hometown has a natural winemaker I’d never known about! Definitely order the grilled cheese, it’s simple yet delicious.

Oh my gosh, it was divine! The uni was so fresh and creamy and the pasta itself was cooked just right. Every bite was an explosion of flavor. We also tried the baked lasagna and it was delightful. The layers were perfectly balanced and each bite was full of rich, savory flavors. Let's not forget dessert! We shared a few different things and they were all great. The tiramisu was fluffy and decadent and the chocolate mousse was rich and smooth. Overall, Angelini Osteria is definitely a must-try for Italian food lovers in Los Angeles. The food is incredible, the service is friendly, and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. We can't wait to come back and try more dishes on the menu!“

“We've been attending a handful of concerts at Hollywood Bowl this year. We loved Fattoush Salad (different recipe from how our family makes Fattoush Salad) but was delicious! The Lamb Chops were OK, but Spanish Fried Chicken was just fried, you can't taste or see any chicken meat inside. I have a feeling all vegie dishes here might be delicious, but not the ones with any meat. Service and atmosphere were amazing! We will go back to try different dishes, but for sure to have the Fattoush Salad.“

I love the ability to ask for specific cuts and cook. Many similar charruscaries can't compare to that level of service, bringing the same cuts to you table with little regard for the cook time of the meet. M Grill seems to have a respect for Rare and medium rare, elevating the experience appropriately.
Awesome side bar with just the right blend of side dishes, salads, and accoutrements to balance the plate and effect a good eat. Man cannot live on meat alone, he needs robust sides and hearty portions. That's the beauty of M Grill, they get it right, 5x5, Everytime.“

“An extremely lively and trendy lounge-type of restaurant on the Venice/Santa Monica border very close to the water. It is actually a block away from the beach. At night they move the tables and the DJ booth turns on and it turns into a mini nightclub and most of the patrons we saw were they to pick up champagne to share and drink on site, the food here seemed an afterthought. The crowd here is very young, most people are in their 20s. You’ll probably be one of the older ones if you are in your mid 30s like myself. It’s also very loud and it’s more a place to go with friends or a date, it’s not really a foodie destination, it’s more of a lively place to spend the evening. Parking is honestly really hard in this area so we took a Waymo because we live a mile away. Aside from that you’ll most likely need to pay for parking. Our waitress was very polite, but our food items arrived pretty slowly.

I started off with the Chicory Salad. I thought it was pretty nice, it was really nice and light start, a perfect salad for spring. For my entree I chose the Burger with a side of Broccolini because I had heard a lot about it. It was very good but not one of the best burgers I’ve had in this part of town. I would say this is a great spot to bring a date, but it’s not really somewhere that is food focused, more a place to drink and order some items if you’re hungry.“

“This is my absolute favorite restaurant ...and I eat out 3-5 nights a week. I can always count on All Roads to be 100% perfect! The food is BEYOND delicious and I have had almost every single item on the menu. Never once was I dissappointed. A MUST try is the BIANCA PINSA as well as the Faro and Romini salads....Dessert brownie is spectacular too. Everyone I've brought here has fallen in love. The service is timely, professional and friendly. The manager Alexandra is the hardest working restaurant I've ever encountered! “The foods are amazing … i had the salmon creamy pasta and i liked it so much, the salmon with cherry tomatoes are very refreshing , porcini and mushroom are the new favorites , but the black truffle was the most unforgettable one , once you taste it, it seems you are watching a classic italian movie. The employees are friendly and very accomodating. The atmosphere itself makes you feel like home.“
