The Club Bar at The Peninsula offers an old school cool atmosphere with dark birch wood, deep leather chairs, and a fireplace. It is a casual calm atmosphere with a cigar lounge vibe and dark paneling. The bar is well appointed and beautifully decorated, but not in a pretentious way. Drinks are well concocted; one cocktail made with hibiscus-infused Mezcal garnished with candied rose petals is very good. The sliders and fries are good as well. Dim sum is yummy and portions are generous, but guests mainly come back for the tea and desserts. Service is attentive with minimal conversation. Food is just OK. This is a good place to meet someone for the first time from a dating site.
