“Very interesting location being in KTown in a small strip mall (with parking!) and a block away from some hip bars like Lock & Key. There is also metered parking across the street but if you come late enough, it should be free. We came not knowing it was a vegetarian restaurant (our bad) but that didn't matter. The food was delicious nonetheless. Walking in, it feels boho chic with some sculptures and paintings of ancient beings (?). Menu is on the QR code where you can order and pay through your phone but the servers are there to help if anything.Squash Blossoms: Lightly battered, filled with ricotta, and fried with a pumpkin seed sauce that reminded me of satay sauce. The combo of cheese and sauce was a great contrasts. Comes with only 3 blossoms so kind of pricey for what it is but deliciousRoasted Cauliflower: Solid but I really like roasted cauliflower. Good portion and good proportion of cauliflower to sauceSpouting Brassica: Tangy and reminded me of the sweet chili thai sauce that you can get from the market. Fennel is not something I generally look to order but it didn't taste licorice-y maybe masked by the sauce.Jackfruit Barbacoa Fusili: The fusili was al dente, which is always great. Jackfruit felt like it was missing or lack the punch I usually associate with jackfruit. It's a solid dish though with the tomato and cheese sauce.Anderson Pizza: A bit too many conflicting flavors. Jalapeno + kimchee didn't seem to work for me. Pizza crust was good though but too many things going on and would've preferred a lighter pizza focusing on one flavor. They also specialize in wines. I got a cab but it was very light without much tannins, which was interesting. Tasty but unexpected.Overall, a solid meal with some hits, good and friendly service, and a cool vibe for a easy meal.“

We were seated in a far corner, so it was difficult to get the staff's attention at times. The acoustics are noisy and also, the open kitchen created heat and smoke, so the atmosphere felt a bit close at times. Still a bit of a hidden gem here.“

Ordered the shrimp cocktail, chicken liver and charred carrot starter. Had Cacio & Pepe, Charmoula and Duck Confit as our main. “Before we went, I read the reviews to find out the largest complaints and prepare for them. But actually our experience was pretty much perfect. We didn’t have to wait much at all (15 min) when we arrived at 7pm on Saturday. This was lucky. The queue very quickly filled while we waited. Some reviews said hostesses were unfriendly—not true at all for us. Others didn’t enjoy their pizza. But we ordered the Sicilian and white pizzas and loved them. They were even good after they cooled down. You should expect a hefty pizza though! It’s not a thin crust pizza. Between two people we had two pizzas and the Caesar salad. This was the perfect amount of food. We also tried two non alcoholic beverages, a wine and a beer. The beer is shockingly good and you cannot tell it has no alcohol. Everyone we interacted with was friendly. The person at the counter who took our order stood out. He was communicative, accommodating, and welcoming. This is a place I am sure we will frequent ?We left around 9:30pm and there was a long line out the door of people waiting. Reservations are recommended.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free, vegetarian, and vegan options are available.“

“Our experience at this restaurant was top notch. The food was excellent, but the service was perfect. They were so nice and accommodating. It was literally the best restaurant for kids, even though they don't have a children's menu! They offered half portions of pasta for our kids, and made a special "plain" dish for my picker eater. They also were very patient and helpful in dealing with a food allergy. Casual dress was just fine, although the interior and the food feel "fancy." “I don't know why it's taken me so long to leave a review but this is hands down my favorite local wine spot. First, every time I have come here, the staff is super nice and knowledgeable. I've done wine tastings here as well as just stopping in for drinks with friends and each time, it has been great. The inside and outside has a cozy local feel to it. The wines are delicious and everything I have had has an amazing taste to it. Today was the first time I tried their orange wine and it was so refreshing and tasty. On my previous visits, I've had their pizza and charcuterie boards which was as equally delicious as their wines. Today, I came during brunch and while I didn't get to eat there, I loved how they had a grill outside the restaurant where you can see the food being cooked. It smelled so good! Great local spot for friends and family. I highly recommend.“

“3.5/5 This place has been on our list for a few months now after discovering it on social media. We came here on Valentine's Day after I made a reservation a week prior for outdoor seating (indoor reservation was not available for prime dinner hours when I looked). Their outdoor seating is ok. It did have heat lamps which was nice, however I'm not the biggest fan of sitting in the parklet barrier patios which have you sitting like 5 feet from zooming cars on the street. For some reason I was expecting either sidewalk seating or a back patio. I should have done my research. Our server was friendly and the timeliness of everything coming out from drinks, to apps, to bigger plates was perfect. Nothing rushed or slow. We did really enjoy our cocktails which is why I pushed my initial review from a 3 to a 4, however I found everything to be fairly overpriced. For the two of us, the cost was well over $220 with the tip. It was nice that we got to try some different foods, but the portions often were tiny for a high price point. I understand the location being in Los Feliz and LA in general, but this is just more so of a warning/disclaimer. I enjoyed the Pincanha steak. I thought the steak sauce that accompanied it was really tasty. The biggest disappointment to me was that I was under the impression that this place has *live* Brazilian funk music every Wednesday which is why after dinner we walked inside to see if we could grab a drink and check it out, but when I asked an employee, she said it was just a vinyl record. Not sure if this was just for that night, or if I misunderstood, but I just felt like that didn't really make this place all *too* special in the end. For the price point, I'd only stick to this place for a drink or two and move on.“

“Their house old-fashioned, which only costs $12.00, is amazing. The well bourbon is 1792, which is phenomenal. Their mezcal menu is impressive and they make incredible dirty martinis (my personal favorite). Despite very affordable prices, the bartenders here know what they are doing. I came here at 7:30pm on a Saturday, hoping for a decent old fashioned or mezcal, and stayed until 10 pm because of the amazing drinks.“

“I was amazed by the diverse and eclectic menu options that were offered. I highly recommend the Chicken Sliders, Fried Polenta, Brussel Sprouts and Cauliflour. My friend and I shared about 10 of the various tapas-style plates and all of them were remarkably delicious. Our cocktails were delicious. I also want to compliment our server who waa very attentive and friendly. I think the only part of the experience that was somewhat lackluster was the outdoor seating area at the back of the restaurant.“

“We were so lucky to find this lovely place. We came into LA by CBX transfer, and it's an easy six minute walk. We loved the friendliness of the place. Immediately, when we walked in big smiles and showed us to a bar counter table. The two ladies who run the place are so helpful they brought over the menus and then suggested a white wine for my wife ( it was delicious) and then brought over two different reds for me to choose, perfect. The menu is simple, and all things compliment the wine . We loved the bread, olives , anchovies and roasted artichoke. They also have lots of cured meats like I wrote all things perfect for eating with wine. We really enjoyed the whole buzz of the place and it totally deserves its 5 stars.“

We ordered paella marinara. So so delicious. A nice bottle of Spanish wine. It reminded us so much of sitting in Spain, enjoying conversation and wine, and not being rushed to pay the bill and vacate. Can’t wait to go back.“

Eastside Luv Wine Bar Bar • $$

“A great spot for a good drink and some good company. They play a variety of music from hip-hop to rap, and cumbias. The crowd was so lively and fun but also casual and friendly. Impromptu dances with strangers were unexpected but so much fun. I can't speak on the drinks because this was my last stop for the night and I was sobering up with water. The bartenders were really sweet despite being busy and everyone being pretty drunk. There were people dancing on the bar, at the tables and on a small makeshift dance floor. All in all a really fun atmosphere in the heart of Boyle Heights just a few minutes from DTLA.“
