“Plenty of good IPAs, draft, and domestic beers. The Backyard Burger was wonderful, definitely coming back just for that. Having Delirium Tremens in their beer stock was amazing, hadn't seen many bars with this many good options in a while. A good place for a quiet and private date, but with good walking distance to Echo Park and local bars and venues.“

“We had the most exceptional evening trying as much of the menu as we could. Chef Blake educated us on every aspect of how he delivers each incredible bite and it felt like a private dinner despite having full tables all around. We even had vegans in our party and he and his team were able to give them a full experience. Henro did an excellent job of recommending wine pairings. It was such a special night and I cannot wait to return.“

“The first time I ever had a lobster roll was here. I AM GLAD it was here. Maybe it was just the bartenders turn at the music I dont know. They were playing mid 90's 2000's rock the whole time, banger after banger! I was looking for a quiet place to eat, but this place took me by surprise so I stayed. The Lobster roll was amazing, warm and Buttery. NOT CHEWY! Beer selection was awesome too. You gotta try the crab and jalapeen dip, also the calamari was delicious. I will be coming back! If you want the dive bar feel with fun employees this is the place.“

“Wen is super cool and their spring bank collection is pretty impressive. The secret is their cage bottles for such good prices taste amazing. I think especially their ex bourbon hazzelburns. Theyvare young but spring bank distillery knows how to do it and make amazing stuff. So cool of Wen to bring the bottles back and share them with us all!“

“It was amazing, we went there on Friday late at night and it was happy hour!!!! We had some amazing Albacore rolls for about $3.00!! What??? The shrimp tempura was crispy and delicately sweet, we tried a few things, the seaweed salad was great, all the food was great but the highlight was an A5 Wagyu skewer, on arrival it looked a bit small but the two pieces of grilled melting meat are more than enough to feel the amazing taste of the marbled wagyu, I didn’t really need more. The service is outstanding, all the staff is super polite and the prices are incredible at that time of night. I’m looking forward for next weekend to go try a few things we saw the waiter bringing to the tables, we sat at the bar and kept asking -what was THAT!! And they were so nice and polite to stop and explain the dishes. Lovely lovely.“

“This is one of the best spots in Atwater Village. The owner is so welcoming. Service is top notch. The food is great! We loved the fried pickles, awesome wings, one of the best burgers I’ve had in a long time and the link / sausage sampler was huge and tasty. We will definitely come back to this cozy place!“

“I love this place, my sister and me went here after going to 99 ranch. There was a wait, but not long. Feel authentic like real Italian. All server were very nice and they are all Italian so it feels very authentic as well. Very small Restaurant like hole in the wall, but when you have good conversation with group doesn’t matter. I will continue to go back and take my family here because they love Italian food. Bread with oil very good also feel authentic. Very loud inside because it’s small restaurant but not rowdy everyone specially customers are very nice and just talk amongst each. There are outside seating as well maybe two tables or three but it’s too hot outside so we requested to eat, I think we only waited no more than 30 minutes. I had the chef’s choice which was on the entrance menu and I really like it, I forgot what it was called, but it was seafood pasta. My sister had Pomodoro pasta and she like, food, not too heavy and we ordered another pasta to go I don’t remember what it’s called, but it had vodka in it Or the name.“

But was recommended to check it out thru a mutual connection and they definitely did an amazing job - inside is super clean, tvs and games, football watch parties and some other events happen periodically. “I grew up on German food from my native German grandmother and mother. All the dishes were authentic. The sausages were wonderfully spiced and not fatty. The mackerel had a wonderful sauce and the apple cake was better than my grandmother’s. The home brewed beers were great and the staff were very friendly and attentive.

Think of it as a Biergarten meets LA chic. All the good food without the lederhosen, dirndels and oompah band. The only reason I can think the rating isn’t 5.0 is the more negative comments are from people who wanted the shlock or from people who don’t understand real German food.“

“They were open and operational during the beginning of covid only as a food delivery service restaurant. I have had Italian food within the city but this by far was the best. The gnocci was sooo good the blue cheese and chopped olive sauce.“

Coming back for him and his top notch service. There was, though, a very inebriated woman who’d come from a different bar and tried to order beer here at close, and made a big scene when she was not sold more alcohol. Once again, Gabe to the rescue: very nice and professional; he rocks!“
