“This is the best BBQ I’ve had in LA. Tried for the first time yesterday - had the brisket and ribs and both were fantastic. Brisket was incredibly tender and the ribs were as well. Mac and Cheese was rich and delicious, greens had a little bite which is a perfect contrast to the richness of everything else we had. Delicious BBQ sauce, enjoyed the sweet slightly more than the spicy but both were great. I can’t wait to come back and try more sides.
Give it a try, you won’t be disappointed!“

“A very pleasant lounge bar with a wonderful atmosphere and great cuisine. Everything felt cozy and well thought out. The service was excellent — special thanks to our waiter Nikita for being attentive and friendly. We had a great experience and would definitely recommend this place!😉“

“The food is fire! The service is mediocre, and the atmosphere is trash (literally). There was a city trash can right outside the restaurant door overfilled with garage and reeking of piss. As for inside of the restaurant, it is very small and crammed. You’re almost standing on top of other people as you wait in line to order or wait for your food to be ready.
As for the food… wow!! 10 out of 10. I ordered the Koren fried chicken (sweet & spicy) and a side of steamed rice. I cannot wait to go back and order this again. I killed the entire meal and did not leave anything behind. My wife ordered the Spicy Mayo Chicken bowl and the Fried Chicken Dumplings. The portion size was huge! She could not finish it. The spicy sauce was too spicy and overpowered the flavor of the chicken, rice, and veggies. Rating this bowl a 4 out of 10 on the spicy overkill.
The prices here are AMAZING! We only spent $25 for our food, drove to Manhattan beach, and enjoyed it while watching the sunset. Our food was still hot after the 35 min drive.“

“Wait the food is so good. I wish my tummy could fit more food. The side dishes buffet bar is surprisingly good you have to practice restraint from filling yourself up with it. This place has all the dishes you can want from a Korean restaurant!“

“I love coming to this place for their combination fried rice. The people tending the place are very friendly. They have other menu items that I would like to try, but I always get the rice because is easy to eat on the go and even cold it retains its flavor. I highly recommend this place.“

“Homemade kimchi, homemade stews, unlimited banchan stations ala Sizzler style, warm and sincere and attentive service, big comfy booths, and headache-free to park at (it's in a strip mall!) and get to compared to the dense traffic of neighboring Koreatown. Apparently this is an original, history-making spot way ahead of its time. And people may come for the all you can eat KBBQ, but straight up I come for the AYCE banchan and Korean dishes that feel like I'm back at home with mom.“

“Dae Sung Ro is a really great spot for authentic Korean BBQ and hotpot. The place feels clean and modern, and the staff were friendly and attentive.
The BBQ meats were fresh, flavorful, and cooked perfectly at the table. We all loved the Sundubu and the corn cheese there. Everything felt authentic and well-prepared.
Overall, it’s a solid choice if you’re craving real Korean BBQ. I’d definitely go back.“

“If you’re chasing premium Korean BBQ in the heart of K-Town, this spot is one of the more elevated experiences in the neighborhood. 🇰🇷🔥 Jeong Yuk Jeom translates to “butcher shop” — and that’s exactly the vibe you get: hand-selected, dry-aged and wet-aged beef cuts cooked over charcoal that deliver rich flavor and juiciness worth savoring.
The restaurant’s interior is sleek and spacious, perfect for groups or date nights, with good ventilation so you don’t walk out smelling like a grill.
Upscale, flavorful, and memorable Korean BBQ in LA.
Would go again? Absolutely — especially for the dry-aged beef and unique dishes you don’t find everywhere. 🍷🥩“

“Really good, healthy food. When we went there, she made the sesame bread while we waited. And it was delicious. My beautiful wife and I have been going here for more than 20 years. And I've never had a bad meal here.“

“The best AYCE Korean bbq restaurant. Meat quality is top-notch. They grill the meat for you but still allow you to enjoy the food at your own speed. I tried almost every meat and my favorite is the marinated beef rib with bone. It melted in my mouth. I love it and will come back.👍🏻“

“Great kbbq place with fresh ingredients and a wide variety of side dishes. They don’t have AYCE here, only combinations — I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of food for the one we got. The kimchi fried rice was good, and the meats were all very fresh and tasted delicious with the accompanying sauces. The servers were also more involved in the meat grilling, even for those of us who had experience kbbq before. They also had fun robots around to bring out and take away dishes. We made reservations, which I’d recommend as it was pretty crowded when we went.“

“Ribs and chocolate cake, and sweet smashed potatoes and mac n cheese were superb. As was the tri tip salad. Service was the best. I wish I could teach ALL restaurants how to make regular mashed potatoes, especially if they aren't serving gravy. Never the less, 5 stars.“

“Summary:
- When you get a lil twist in affordable Korean BBQ, this is what you get. Get the miso soup, it’s got a kick to it
Pro:
- Good value for the price
- Very big portion. I like they let you cut however you wanna cut it
- Super good + fast service. Dude’s fast as lightning
- Variety of side dish, and if you get second round side dish it’s a lot more too
- I like how they provide lots of onions and jalapeños
Con:
- parking lot environment is kinda scary during afternoon already
- Most meat is more on the sweeter tone, it can get a little bit much afterwards
- I’d say don’t get the intestine“

“Best, the best , Korean bbq in LA… Cali, USA! First time bbq in K town reminded me of the bbq I had in Soowon South Korea- the headquarters of korean bbq. Generous too: 1 order was enough for 2 people, came with a salad, soup and panchan.“

“This place also has a long history in Koreatown. The food is impeccable.
The prices have gone up, but if you're craving dongchimi noodles and meat,
this is the place to go. The meat is all delicious, but the prices have gone up significantly compared to before, so you'll have to settle for beef tongue or Gilmok Gui. It's a place you'll return to for the taste.“

“The food and service were amazing. The meats and options they have here are very unique and delicious, up to 32 different options. The person who gave us our meat was nice and caring. As some side notes, if this is your first time going to Korean BBQ place, you cook your own food so make sure you know how to cook meats, also the music they played here is pretty good!“

“I'll give this place a ten star if I could; it's not your average hole in the wall joint! I tried the Spicy BBQ with shrimp fried rice and it was amazing! Even their Thai Tea was one of the best I've had in recent memories. The Shrimp fried rice had the perfect amount of fire taste: not too overpowering and not too subtle which was perfect. The amount was perfect as well: the thing was heavy for just one order. The Spicy BBQ also came with a dipping sauce that was very unique; it was citrous-y and fishy and it wasn't like anything I've tasted before which was amazing! For what it's worth, you can't go wrong with this place!“

“The food is sooooo good!!! It’s my comfort food now but the service is awful…We were the only customers in the restaurant at that time. When I asked for two pairs of chopsticks at the counter, the staff member appeared to ignore me completely. I had to repeat my request twice before she reluctantly looked up and threw the chopsticks at me. The service was disappointing and unnecessarily rude.“

“This place has undergone numerous name changes in the last 40 years that I’ve been eating here. However, the food has reminded the same. Delicious 😋!!!! We stopped by for lunch on December 9th and ordered numerous dishes. We ordered shrimp fried rice $18, sweet and sour chicken $19, chicken chow mein Hong Kong style (crispy noodles) $18, and the seafood tofu hot pot $21 , plus the must have hot tea.
Definitely a must try if ever near Alpine and Broadway in Chinatown Los Angeles.“

“I love a Korean BBQ spot where they cook your meat for you. Definitely something that I look for and the staff here does a great job. They are pretty nice and they cook the food really well. There is a decent amount of banchan and the Pigya tasting menu is fantastic. Plenty of meat included in the servings. Aside from meat, it includes a steamed egg, kimchi fried rice, and hangover ramen. It got a bit smokey but the fans were strong and helpful. My friend tried the soju cocktail which was pretty sweet and not that strong. Tasty though! Definitely recommend grabbing lunch or dinner here because the food was great quality.
Now for my standard comments. The location is clean and well kept. Comfortable indoor seating.“

“ordered the beef combo with prime rib and it did not disappoint. The meat was beautifully marbled, super tender, and full of flavor—cooked perfectly at the table. Great value for the quality, and it comes with all the classic sides. Service was quick and helpful. This place is a K-Town winner for serious meat cravings. Btw, Alvin was taking care of our table. He’s a very nice guy! Good food, good service. Will be back soon.“
“Fun experience. This is a no frills Korean restaurant- you have to get up and get your own water and side dishes. But the meat comes quickly when you order it and the staff was very good in changing our grill whenever we wanted. The brisket and shrimp are the best.“
