“Hanu K-BBQ was a highly rated place in LA's Koreatown, so we decided to try it. Clearly review inflation. 4.7 on Yelp and Google. Big focus on getting 5 star yelp reviews. The restaurant has indoor and outdoor seating and its own parking lot.
3.5% credit card fee. Their menu has the typical expensive a la carte meats, but lacks tofu stew.
Lunch Specials 11am-3pm/7days are a great bet.

Meal was fine but not super. Service was drop and go. Probably should have went back to Soowon Galbi or Parks BBQ.

Food Review:
Marinated Beef Short Ribs + Buckwheat cold noodle soup ($34.99) lunch special was cooked at our table and consisted of 3 pieces. No BBQ smell at least. Decent quality and reasonable quantity. Huge bowl of cold noodles. Only 4 types of banchan. 8.5/10

Beef brisket soybean paste stew with tofu ($14.99) lunch special is not a big dish and was the closest thing to tofu spicy stew. Very spicy. 8/10

“I stopped for lunch Monday 22nd 2026 around 11:30 am, my plan was to order cold noodle(냉면) but changed plan after checking the menu,beef short rib soup (갈비탕) was only $17
I was by myself, I was seated big table for 4 people, 6 side dishes were served with cold water(I eas asked if I want cold or hot water)I said cold and they served cold water and 6 side dishes, I accidebtally droppes the cup with ice water, made a mess on table, server asked me if I am ok and cleaned the table also refilled ice water, had enough beef short ribs and all the side dishes were delicious“

“Everything about this place is good....... Dogs are not welcome.,service animals too....
They said no dogs at 1st,then I stated she is service animal.

Then he grilled me on type of service she provides, we answered his demands,but still didn't want us to have the service animal.
We finally got to eat. But after about 30 minutes of waiting, then they stuck us in the back corner, but he clearly did not want the dog in the building.

So bring your service animals here. But be prepared for a verbal confrontation and questioning.“

“The food and service were amazing. The meats and options they have here are very unique and delicious, up to 32 different options. The person who gave us our meat was nice and caring. As some side notes, if this is your first time going to Korean BBQ place, you cook your own food so make sure you know how to cook meats, also the music they played here is pretty good!“

“It’s funny to me when people complain about things like not being allowed to split portions for one person, not being able to take food home, sushi being ‘too big,’ or even time limits lol. I think the sense of entitlement is real among some of us. I genuinely love the food, the variety, and the soju—this is honestly one of the best places to enjoy Korean BBQ.

Maybe some people are just used to getting free passes and special treatment elsewhere, but here everyone is treated equally. That’s all it really is.“

“The food is soooo good!!!!

The pork belly is thick, juicy, and grilled perfectly by the staff, so you don’t have to cook anything yourself. Service is attentive and professional.

The side dishes are also a highlight — lots of variety, and everything we tried was solid. I love their eggs and soup!!! Not just the pork, the beef was surprisingly good and very juicy.

Overall, a great place for a casual dinner or group meal. Definitely worth checking out if you’re in K-town.“

“Loved this place — it feels like a step up from your typical KBBQ spot in LA.

The meat quality was immediately noticeable, especially the marbling. Everything we tried was well-balanced in flavor and cooked beautifully, but the standout for me was the intestines combo (곱창콤보). It was rich, clean, and surprisingly refined — not overly greasy or heavy like it can be at other places.

We also ordered a few sides, and they were all solid. The cold noodles were refreshing and cut through the richness of the meal nicely, and the spicy chicken feet had a good depth of flavor without being overwhelming.

What I really appreciated was the overall atmosphere — it felt genuinely Korean, not overly commercialized. The wall of celebrity signatures added a fun touch without taking away from the dining experience.

It’s a bit of a drive to Buena Park, but for the quality and overall experience, I’d say it’s worth it. I’d definitely come back.“

I’ve been to brothers many times but today was just off. Call it a new waiter or perhaps prejudice… regardless it’s managements fault. Quarters service is 10x compared to Brothers. That being said their galbi was excellent.“

“Good food, great service. What more can you ask for?

We made reservations online via Yelp and a day before our reservations (a little under 24 hours), I received a text message to confirm them. All you have to do is hit 1 and reply to the text or go to the link provided and it'll take you to the app to confirm. Super convenient!

Our other party arrived minutes before we did as we were stuck in traffic and the staff immediately said the table was ready. My family opted to wait for us and we arrived shortly after noon.

Once we all together, we were immediately seated and was pleasantly greeted by our lovely server. She was amazing and super attentive! She provided recommendations and we placed our orders immediately. Both tables chose the $39.99 all you can eat option.

Tables were both set up with starters that included a house salad, macaroni salad and kimchi. Table settings included plates, plastic cups for water, utensils, napkins and sauces.

We all started with the Boneless LA Galbi, LA Galbi and PRIME Boneless Short Rib. Meat was tender and delicious and the dipping sauces were great. We also ordered sides of the following (with the first being the best in our opinion):
- Cup Ramen Fried Rice
- Korean Fried Chicken Bites
- Corn Cheese
- Loaded Tots (Cheetos)
- Gyoza (Beef & Vegetable)
- Steamed Egg

Everything was piping hot and made to order for the sides. I highly recommend making reservations as lines were starting to form about 30 minutes after we arrived. Parking can be a little difficult if you're street parking but there are plenty of spaces available all on Spring St.

“One of my favorite spots when I’m craving KBBQ! This place in K-Town is hands-down the best, in my opinion. The restaurant has a parking lot with plenty of spaces, honestly a must in LA.

The service is always excellent when I come here. We're seated right away, and the sides and meats come out super fast. I love that they provide a pitcher of water at the table, so I can refill my drink anytime.

The two servers were constantly checking on us to see if we needed more meat, napkins, sides, or anything else. With our choice of Menu C, they brought out the steamed egg and potato pancake automatically — like they were reading my mind before I even asked lol.

The sides are amazing. Whoever makes the kimchi here knows what they’re doing. The marinated shrimp come peeled and butterflied, which makes grilling and eating so much easier.

Overall, it was a great dining experience with high-quality food and service. I’ll definitely be back!“

“Wow, I think the ribs here are the best compared to Suwon Galbi. It's delicious. I ordered two people, but it's such a shame that I got half a portion. There are a lot of strange people in the reviews. It must be difficult to do business. It says lettuce on the menu, but they ask for it as a service. Anyway, one man and one woman each ordered ribs, and it was half a portion. Yes, there are a lot of sheep.“

“The service is what makes this place top notch (on top of the food of course)! Every single employee we interacted with were professional, attentive, and quick. I came here visiting from Washington State, and my nephew recommended this place along with others. I'm glad we ended up here! I even brought my parents who aren't as adventurous with foods and they also liked it! We got the premium TGI Ayce and it did not disappoint - the variety of proteins and sides for this selection was delicious! I would definitely come here again when I'm in town!“

“Highly recommend Chuncheon Dakgalbi! Everything was absolutely delicious. The side dishes were flavorful, and I really appreciated that the dakgalbi was mostly cooked in the kitchen and came out almost ready to eat. The chicken pieces were the perfect bite size - not too big and not too small.

Their fried wings were also really good, honestly better than the average fried chicken franchise. The noodle dish wasn’t quite my style because the noodle itself had a flavor that was unfamiliar to me, but the sauce was still delicious.

I especially want to highlight how amazing the service was. The server was incredibly attentive - I didn’t have to ask for anything because they were actively checking on every table. It was the best restaurant service I’ve experienced in LA.

Very busy but they have a bunch of staff and they are all very on top of things.
No it's not top/high quality BUT for the price you pay it is absolutely delicious. The meat was tasty and the sushi was fresh!
