“I've been wanting to try different omakase places in the LA area for a while now, and stumbled upon Omakase by Ozen online - and I'm glad I came! Reservations were made quickly and easily via Yelp, and I love that I was able to change my reservation time without much of a hassle. My boyfriend and I came here to celebrate after I took the MCAT, so we were extremely hungry when we got here. I think this place might have had valet out front, but we opted to just find street parking in the neighborhood for a ~5 minute walk (which worked out afterwards since it let us walk off our food!). The actual restaurant is a very small and quaint place; we sat at a table instead of the bar but I thought the decorations were very cute. Service was very fast and attentive. They handed us a menu as soon as we came in, and we ordered the $130 omakase - which was a pretty good deal for the quality of the food and the whole experience. I do have to say that I was not full after the meal (so my boyfriend and I ended up getting more food afterwards at a different place), but I did enjoy my time here. Definitely worth a try if you're celebrating because of the food and the service, but I personally don't think I'd come back for the omakase.“

Lena cooked the meats on front of us (she cooked them perfectly) and you could add seasonings and sauces. Additionally, the sides are brought by ROBOTS. My little sister loved this and couldn't stop giggling every time a robot came by and dropped of some kimchi which was free with the combo. 10/10 would recommend. “If you want good Filipino food from a family owned cozy staple in Filipino town then this is the place to go! Came by here during a visit to LA and it was recommended by some friends who live in the neighborhood and I was not disappointed at all. Here are some takeaways:EnvironmentThis is a small cozy restaurant that has a family style vibe to it. A great welcoming energy, we felt right at home. We stopped around midday during the week so it wasn't a lot of people there. Overall it was relaxing and warm - great for lunch with friends or if you're alone and want to grab a bite to eat.ServiceOur server happened to also be the daughter of the owners. She was great and was happy to share some of the history of the restaurant with me. She was very helpful with telling us about the food and giving us recommendations. Great service!Food and drinksWe had a little bit of everything - and all of it was great! Here's a run down of everything we had:MAMA LEAH'S COCONUT BEEF ADOBOANN'S CORNBREAD BIBINGKASTEAMED WHITE RICENOEL'S SMOKED GOUDA MACSAN PABLO PULLED PORKEverything was delicious. The coconut beef (amazing!) was great with the steamed white rice, the mac and cheese was tasty, the pulled pork had a lot of flavor and the cornbread was warm and sweet, but not too sweet. Again - all the food was great.OverallLovely family owned restaurant. So glad that we stopped by here. If i'm ever in LA again this will definitely be a place I'll visit again. “This is the second time I ordered a sandwich at LA Brisket this week! I can't believe more people aren't praising this joint! It is in a small mall/hallway in Chinatown. They have a few tables in the hallway. It's not the most convenient place to eat because of the limited seating and the exterior doors were open (causing a cold breeze). I was told by other guest that the doors can't be closed because it will lock. In short, it is easier to just order pick up and eat elsewhere. Anyways, let's get to the good part... the food. I've had both the 101 and 405 sandwiches. Both are so juicy and full of flavor with great combinations of cheese and sauce. The bread is perfectly is crispy on the outside so it hold its structure well for a sandwich but warm and soft on the inside. The brisket is the star of the show. Just the right amount of smoke and fat. It falls apart perfectly without being too soggy. The truffle fries were good. They were well done and very crispy. I'm hooked!“

“I usually don't try full on meals at breweries but I'm so glad that I did. Pit & Bull is the best BBQ I've had in the area! I'm a Mac n Cheese girly so of course I ordered the Pit Mac with Beef Brisket on top. The meat was cooked perfectly and was smothered with a smoky BBQ sauce. My favorite part was the Mac n cheese tho! They use actual cheese and top it off with bread crumbs so there's a nice crunchy layer on top. I ordered a side of fries and was surprised by how good they actually are. They're crispy and taste like a less greasy version of McDonald's fries! The brewery gets extremely packed during the weekends but the workers are always very efficient and prompt. They get your food out within 15 minutes. The ambiance itself is really nice since it's inside the brewery. There's lots of seating, games, and even an outdoor patio with live music. Definitely will be back!“

I will say that their meat menu is a bit smaller than other KBBQs in that area, but uniquely they had a lot of options for small plates and soups. I highly recommend the steamed egg, braised beef ribs, and Cajun shrimp. The only item I didn't like was the dynamite scallop. Was a little too spicy for my taste.Banchan was also good, not great, but still very good. You can never go wrong with the spicy cucumber and glass noodles.“

“The foods were awesome, and my favorite was actually the chicken skin and pork intestine. The pork intestine wasn’t smelly like you get from other restaurants. The flavor of the chicken skin was sweet and crunchy. The food got here very fast and we finished all the food within an hour. It is a great place to gather up with friends!“

“I loved this place! The ambiance was really cool, they had a really good playlist to match the vibe. I liked how the lightening was fairly dim too. I had the brisket sandwich and fries, which was pretty good. I will say, the brisket was a bit salty but overall the meal was pretty good & well portioned. The fries and onion rings were bomb! Especially with the side of bbq sauce. The staff was really friendly offering great service as well. I look forward to going back and trying the banana pudding next time.“

“Huge portions I got the Fried Noodles and Rice combo (not on the menu, small extra charge) and the steak and vegetables. It came in two boxes - one for the noodles and rice and the other just stuffed full of steak and vegetables (cabbage, zucchini) Only 14 dollars I think - with a can of soda The service is great - just one guy, and he's super friendly. Makes the food, gives it to you. I think he's making a lot of stuff to order so that's good - you can hear him chopping stuff fresh. Ambience is non-existent - but you don't care cause you're there for good food for a good price. All in all, a great, fast, inexpensive meal. Just so you know - it's just one guy taking orders and making it, so be nice and be patient. It didn't take very long“

“Took my father to dinner with jazz and we both liked it.Our waiter was so nice. It felt like he was waiting on All the tables. Maybe they will get more staff in the future as it seemed like a newly established. It’s on the corner, where Ixtapa Cantina used to be and there is paid parking right behind it. We both had salmon, mine with white wine and dad with beer. Food and drinks ??. The jazz band did a lot of Amy Whinehouse covers. So if you enjoy that, hop on over. Looking around, everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. People passing by would dance their way through. We had a deal from Goldstar but if you don’t, go anyway. Given current prices, I’d say you’re getting a good deal from the regular menu. Good food and live music. ?? have fun and bring cash to tip the band. They deserve it.“

“First time at Rodney's. Tried the Brisket Sandwich. The brisket was perfectly cooked, nicely smokey and tender.I didn't like his style of BBQ sauce. It was too sweet for me. I may buy some brisket by the pound to make my own sandwich. Rodney is super friendly and really seems to care about getting it right. Professional.“

“I am an Angelino and was not aware of this sweet gem. The meat was soooo moist and tender, full of flavor. The chicken’s skin was crispy on the outside but juicy in the inside. My husband loved their pineapple coleslaw. The bbq sauce has a tad bit of kick (love it), but sweet. Definitely recommend for any true BBQ enthusiast to come and try this family owned business.
