“Great food in a fun and new atmosphere. They have the standard- yummy Thai dishes. We tried their Pad Thai and it was delicious. What makes this place stand out is the colorful atmosphere. From bright green and orange chairs to the "street fair" decor- it's a fun place to visit.“
“Hidden gem in temple city! The place looks really small from the outside but apparently they have many hidden room inside that each room could accomodate 6-10 people. The food was great, came with such a large plates. Each dishes cost about $15-30.“
“Excellent place for a meal. Fresh and delicious. They have a fish or shrimp special until the day before Easter, March 29th. Maybe for Lent? Crispy, tasty fish. It does not taste greasy or heavy. It comes with salad with black sesame and edamame and a lovely delicious dressing. Maybe ginger/ carrot. I asked for my plate with no rice, all salad. $7 special for a limited time.“
“The Ribeye cap M9 here is so beautifully marbled but I think I loooved the Prime short rib even more. It was flavored so perfectly and literally melts in your mouth. And have you ever had grilled eel at Japanese BBQ before?? It was definitely my first time because I think I got the order of operations wrong in terms of building my perilla leaf-eel-seaweed wrap, but hey, it tastes so delicious all the same, right? We also got the Wagyu sukiyaki to share and the Wagyu bibimbap that’s mixed tableside. Thanks for reading! ^-^“
“The wait staff at the restaurant were friendly and attentive especially our server Noah. His service was excellent. He checked in often, answered all our questions about the menu and made sure we had a pleasant dining experience. The food was great especially the tomahawk steak with chimuchurri. My family would definitely dine at this restaurant again.“
“We tried the diamond set. The meat quality of the 1st round was really good. But the quality of a5 wagyu was not as good after the 1st round. Sweet shrimp was not that fresh, and the steam egg portion was too big. The wagyu sandwich was not good at all and way too dried. Overall, it was a great experience.“
“Food was absolutely delicious !! Loved the Blondie wings and the Alabama white sauce (tastes like the mayo that you put on esquites and elotes). The fries were delicious too, not too salty and a little sweet. Also had some mac and cheese (it was bomb), and the brisket sandwich was really good too :-)!!“
“Interior is small but parking is decent, and I think the food is hit or miss depending on what you order. But for the most part the fried chicken katsu is a good option; the bone in fried chicken that others seem to like was a little dry for me. There is a catering menu and seemingly they are a good option for gatherings. The owners work here and are very sweet Asian couple. They will always smile and engage in conversation with you. Top Restaurant has been in business for a long time so they are doing lots of things right!“
“Loved the food, we found this place accidentally thinking it was sushi but it was a very good mistake! Very delicious but definitely dress for a special occasion. We loved all The courses and the desserts were absolutely delicious! At first we thought we wouldn't get full but by the end of dinner we were more than satisfied!“
“This was my second time dining here the first was about 10 years ago. It was changed alot from what I remember and changed for the better. The food was always tasty but the sauces were delicious especially the spicy BBQ outstanding. I got rib sliders on the happy hour menu only $9 really good stuff. But my favorite part of the meal was the brisket pozole soup out of this world. If you are in south Pasadena definitely hit this place up“
“We came here on a weekday evening at around 6pm and had no wait. They have only one option for dining at this Chubby Cattle location, which is an AYCE menu including Wagyu, pork, seafood, appetizers like Wagyu tartare and salmon carpaccio, rice, sushi and soup. For $65.99 (non-member price) per person, you definitely get what you pay for here!“
“The food is good and I recommend to go here with friends cause the food portions are pretty big. They also serve ice cream after, and the waiters/waitresses are very kind. One thing to keep in mind is that you're not allowed to bring outside drinks/food. The interior has a rusty yet cozy feel to it, and they play K-pop music on speakers even though it isn't that audible. This place is still enjoyable though.“
“Do not judge this place by the exterior. There is a reason this place has been here for 20+ yrs. The value of this place and quality of food is solid for the price! There are lines during peak weekend hours so be aware. If you go during lunch (Ends at 4pm) it's cheaper for the same food, minus egg rolls and egg drop soup. They are closed on Tuesdays, so Wednesday the food is the freshest. I would avoid the turkey, but the other meats were fine. My favorite is the lamb. Of note, the peppers and red pepper oil they have at the bar lacks spicyness so I need to put a lot on and I ask for siracha sauce to help with the heat. They also have assorted spirits and sodas. The service is friendly and fast. The ambiance is causal and family friendly.“
“I love Steve’s BBQ, the food is extremely great. The service is excellent, they try to accommodate you to your liking. The owners are the best. I go there twice a week and enjoy the great food they have.I have read the reviews and find those who are complaining about the food and service are just that. This place is very clean, welcoming, great food, quick service. You couldn’t ask for a better BBQ to eat at.“
“This place was amazing for an inexperienced KBBQ'er. It was me and my partner (Chinese and White). The staff were so friendly and helped explain what dishes were and how to eat them. They also cooked the meat and sides for us so we didnt have to stress over that part for our first time. The owner ended up serving us due to the flow of people and Chris/Kris was amazing. She let us try the house made Lemon Soju and really solidified that we would be coming back. Our other server was amazing and she took care of us majority of the night, I didnt catch her name but I also forgot my card there and she caught up to me like half a block to give it back. So sweet and above and beyond. We got a plate of Brisket and Bulgogi with two Soju bottles peach and strawberry. The house lemon one was my favorite though and we will be getting it next time we go.We street parked and payed $1.25 until 8pm hit and didnt have to pay anymore.“
“The foods were awesome, and my favorite was actually the chicken skin and pork intestine. The pork intestine wasn’t smelly like you get from other restaurants. The flavor of the chicken skin was sweet and crunchy. The food got here very fast and we finished all the food within an hour. It is a great place to gather up with friends!“
“I usually don't try full on meals at breweries but I'm so glad that I did. Pit & Bull is the best BBQ I've had in the area! I'm a Mac n Cheese girly so of course I ordered the Pit Mac with Beef Brisket on top. The meat was cooked perfectly and was smothered with a smoky BBQ sauce. My favorite part was the Mac n cheese tho! They use actual cheese and top it off with bread crumbs so there's a nice crunchy layer on top. I ordered a side of fries and was surprised by how good they actually are. They're crispy and taste like a less greasy version of McDonald's fries! The brewery gets extremely packed during the weekends but the workers are always very efficient and prompt. They get your food out within 15 minutes. The ambiance itself is really nice since it's inside the brewery. There's lots of seating, games, and even an outdoor patio with live music. Definitely will be back!“
“The food was BOMB. I got the chicken and fries and it was so good dipped in their secret sauce. I had to ask for another sauce to go as well since there was so much inside one box. Theyre also the sweetest family. Definitely going back for more!!“
“Took my father to dinner with jazz and we both liked it.Our waiter was so nice. It felt like he was waiting on All the tables. Maybe they will get more staff in the future as it seemed like a newly established. It’s on the corner, where Ixtapa Cantina used to be and there is paid parking right behind it. We both had salmon, mine with white wine and dad with beer. Food and drinks ??. The jazz band did a lot of Amy Whinehouse covers. So if you enjoy that, hop on over. Looking around, everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. People passing by would dance their way through. We had a deal from Goldstar but if you don’t, go anyway. Given current prices, I’d say you’re getting a good deal from the regular menu. Good food and live music. ?? have fun and bring cash to tip the band. They deserve it.“
“I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant! The atmosphere was spotless and inviting, and the staff were warm and welcoming. The Chili & Lemon Shrimp Saap and Chili & Lemon Chicken Wing Saap were standout dishes, full of flavor and depth. I also noted that it is better to order the wings & shrimp when you dine-in. I wholeheartedly recommend adding this restaurant to your must-visit list!“
“Obsessed with this place for breakfast, I tried a little bit of everything (thanks to the people I went with). The pepper bacon, potatoes, waffles, raspberry lemon pancakes, sourdough toast. Everything was delicious! The service was great too.“
“Huge portions I got the Fried Noodles and Rice combo (not on the menu, small extra charge) and the steak and vegetables. It came in two boxes - one for the noodles and rice and the other just stuffed full of steak and vegetables (cabbage, zucchini) Only 14 dollars I think - with a can of soda The service is great - just one guy, and he's super friendly. Makes the food, gives it to you. I think he's making a lot of stuff to order so that's good - you can hear him chopping stuff fresh. Ambience is non-existent - but you don't care cause you're there for good food for a good price. All in all, a great, fast, inexpensive meal. Just so you know - it's just one guy taking orders and making it, so be nice and be patient. It didn't take very long“
“Food: 4/5 The crispy pork was a bit hard and dry and the beef tendon slices was too thin and can grill a little longer so that it doesn't taste rubbery. However, the rest of the items were very flavorful and juicy. I have tried a few skewer places and I have to say, the quality and amount of meat is very good. Service: 5/5 Our server was nice and he called out the name of the items he brought out. Ambience: 4/5 Love the overhead projectors and the big screens all around the walls. They also have a good selection of playlists. However, the bench can use a bit better cushioning because it was kind of low. All in all, it's a good skewer place to eat with friends. I would come back again and recommend this place if you want good quality meat and affordability.“
“I enjoy Indian cuisine very much because of the species and fresh ingredients they use daily preparing so much flavors in the food. I enjoy the spinach and cheese it's amazing flavors like the spices and spinach and especially the cheese it add texture and flavor to dish. The other dish I really enjoy is chicken Tikka Masala one of my favorite so much flavor I enjoy it. The naan bread is very good I took a piece of the naan bread scoop in the chicken tikka Masala getting the fully flavor of naan bread and chicken Takla masala.“
“First time at Rodney's. Tried the Brisket Sandwich. The brisket was perfectly cooked, nicely smokey and tender.I didn't like his style of BBQ sauce. It was too sweet for me. I may buy some brisket by the pound to make my own sandwich. Rodney is super friendly and really seems to care about getting it right. Professional.“
“Took my nephew for dinner. He had the pull pork Sammy. He said it was delicious ?. I tried the tri tip Sammy, and it was very tasty and tender. The tater tots were ok, just a little over cooked for my taste. My nephew said they were good. The staff is really friendly.“
“I am an Angelino and was not aware of this sweet gem. The meat was soooo moist and tender, full of flavor. The chicken’s skin was crispy on the outside but juicy in the inside. My husband loved their pineapple coleslaw. The bbq sauce has a tad bit of kick (love it), but sweet. Definitely recommend for any true BBQ enthusiast to come and try this family owned business. Support local businesses!!!“
“The ribs literally melt in your mouth. So tender and juicy. The tri-tip was absolutely amazing and the chicken omg the chicken was so good. Love the BBQ sauces especially the habanero, not to spicy, actually sweet with a kick. DO NOT for get to try the pickles!!! My wife, mother in law, and myself shared "the pit boss" plate and it fed us with left overs. Before I forget the cheesecake so moist and delicious just like their cornbread. 100/10 will be back again“
“Kim Tar's roast duck is the best in the area. The Hainan chicken is of very high quality. Somehow Kim Tar's taste is different among the Chinese BBQ's in the area and good/authentic. We've been coming here for 20 years, having our get together and bday celebrations here. Staff is very friendly.“
“Very tasty and flavorful. Pretty heavy though. Fries are good for the first few bites. Afterwards, need some sort of sauce. All burgers and sandwiches are generally good. The smash burger is affordable, and the patty is decent quality, but mine was a little bland and started breaking apart. Their briskets are decent -- tender and flavorful. Will definitely return.“
“Best barbeque I've ever eaten. As a Texan, it's a shame I have to admit it's from California. The place is take-out only, but it's a great neighborhood so eating inside or on the hood of your car is no issue. Will definitely eat again the next time I'm in the area.“
“Parking: easy (parking lot) Wait time: No wait (once during 2PM, another time for 8:30PM dinner) Food ordered: 1. Beef and seafood tofu soup 2. BBQ short ribs, tofu soup combo Best tofu soup in SGV comparing to A Ri Rang and Young Dong. Everything was perfectly seasoned especially their side dishes. Although I've had better kimchi (yukdaejang's), I enjoyed their seaweed salad most. Like many Korean restaurants, they refilled all side dishes. I very much wanted to try new dishes here, but what I've ordered previously were so good I couldn't help but order the same thing my second time. Lunch combo did not come with a salted croaker like dinner combo. 10/10 would recommend and come back. My Recommendation to the restaurant: 1. Offer rice cakes in tofu soup (add-ons?) 2. Make a bibimbab+tofu soup combo“
“12.02.23 We were in the area and I googled Filipino food and this one was top three on options to consider. Service was the best - kind, caring, and really nice front counter reps. Plenty of combo options to choose from and pics on the side walls are pretty good help. Not exactly sure how to rate Atmosphere because the restaurant is inside 99 Ranch market. It's pretty clean eating area which is across the order area and past the spacious entrance.“
“I highly recommend this restaurant! The Grilled Pork Ribs were outstanding! The quality of the vegetable dishes exceeded my expectations-fresh, crisp and tasty. When looking for a simple but delicious meal Fork Over Pork is the place to be!!! Customer service-stellar.“
“Saw them set up out here in San Dimas at Burning Bridge Brewery in mid-Oct of '23. Friendly people serving up good food and reasonable prices to boot. Plus they even gave my Good Dog ? some samples of their xlnt Carne Asada and Chicken. Gonna try myself one of their Burritos ?.“
“Extremely clean, fast service, most importantly great food that I can see being put together in front of me. I like seeing my food made in front of me. Try it, trust me it’s worth it. Try the chicken or pork with lavash. Or the bread they’re both amazing“
“Thai Daily BBQ is one of the most affordable Thai restaurants in Los Angeles. The food is very good and the portions are large and worth the cost. Although the neighborhood in which is located may not be the best neighborhood in Los Angeles it is safe and easy to access. Overall, I enjoy buying my Thai food at Thai Daily BBQ and frequently buy take out there. I highly recommend Thai Daily BBQ to anyone looking for affordable good quality Thai food in the East Los Angeles area.“
“This is one of my bf and my's favorite little cafe's, serving up delicious and authentic Greek specialties. Today we had my favorite - the Beef Moussaka (eggplant layered with beef in sauce, topped with bechamel) served with roasted potatoes and vegetables, and an excellent Greek Salad. We often get their flatbread stuffed sandwiches. Prices are reasonable at $25 for the moussaka dinner (I took home half) and $8. for the salad. Easy parking in their lot. The gentleman who often serves us is very friendly. As everything is made to order, this is not a place to come if you want "fast casual" because it takes awhile to receive your food, but it will be served hot and perfectly made. Great for take out and family meals.“
“Enjoyed the food here! The restaurant is really small and a hole in the wall spot. I also don't think it's the same as the other Little Skewer location but regardless, I liked the food. One downside is that they didn't serve alcohol when I went. Not a huge deal to me but their plates you eat on are disposable plates. They also don't give you the spices to dip your food in but the food was already well seasoned so it wasn't really necessary. Overall, the prices are really good and the flavor of each dish has lots of flavor so everything was delicious. The lamb, beef, squid, and chicken wings were good and all came out fresh. The oyster was also sizzling when it came out and it was huge. It comes in one piece and order but the oyster is literally the size of your hand. The mala tang had really good flavor but kinda wished there were more noodles inside.“
“Hello Chris Korean BBQ, I was there today with my cousin and their service was immaculate! All the staff there definitely works together as a team, reason being is because everyone was doing there part in partaking each tables like a team player. Not my first time but was my cousins first time eating there and he enjoyed being there for his first time. Thank you Belle for being our sever and Laura, Luis, Andrew, and Edgar for making this Saturday rainy day a great experience.“
“A hidden gem within the Puente Hills Mall..The customer service was immaculate! If your on a time budget and trying to grab something quick and comforting..THIS IS IT!! We ordered the Katsu Chicken Plate..please note this is a huge plate!! It accompanied steam rice, Mac Salad and veggies. I also ordered the BBQ chicken bowl w/rice and veggies. Food was definitely a hit!! Although the ambience was a bit dark and wish they were seen more!!“
“This Sunday evening, Mgr, Caesar, and his team made my family, esp. My twin boys' birthday special with the top-notch customer service and delicious food, of course not forgetting the mouth-watering desserts. Thank you so much as it's our go-to family meal ?“
“The size of their dim sum is double of other restaurants or take outs. Cash only keeps their prices reasonable. They also offer noodle dishes but I come specifically for the shumai and har-gow.Parking: Parking gets tight during busy hours but service is fast, depending on ur order so people vacate the parking spots frequently.“
“This place is absolutely the best. We now have two Hawaiian bbq restaurants in the same small area. This one has the hometown feel. It's the one that is family owned and worked! They don't have fancy leis but they have a huge menu, and really good food! If you want the hometown feel.. and yummy delicious food.. come try the best Hawaiian bbq in South Pasadena!“
“I’m a fan. Lots of history here. This was also a filming location for the movie Bad Santa. The hotel IS haunted. But I don’t believe it is yet operational again. The Mayan is and it’s a really cool place. The staff is super friendly and engaging as well. Be sure to walk around and check out the pictures on the wall. Yes! They are from the 30s and 40s. Welcome to Old Route 66.“
“This review is only for the oolong milk tea and service. This place also serves food. But I came in for the oolong milk tea. Really good. Met my expectations and the price was perfect! Service was really good. The woman working was Very nice and polite. If I'm in the area, I'd definitely come back. Ps: I found this place because I searched up "boba". Turns out this place used to be or is affiliated with "Quickly". S“
“Even if the interior needs a lot of work, the food doesn't. The roast pork is divine! So crispy on the outside and juicy and tasty on the inside. Dip it into the hoisen sauce, and it's perfect. I couldn't try the char sui because they ran out the day I went (late). I will try it next time with the roast duck. It's $21.99/lb for the roast pig. It's well worth it. I also got the eggplant shezwan style, dry string beans, salt & pepper rock cod fish fleet, and clams with black bean sauce. All of it was superb, not too salty, as a lot of Chinese food can be. This is my new go-to Chinese BBQ place from now on!“
“Great food, I know that there isn't that much reviews at the moment but it's a new restaurant. The skewers are delicious and the ambience is amazing. If you go you got to try the yuzu shots, pretty strong and really really good. My whole group gets the 24 pack and it's always a good time“
“Great little local gem!Pricing straight forwardWe stop by here when we go see my mother in law, have had lunch and dinner service here multiple times, always shocked at the low cost.Give it a shot, but fair warningPlace is older, clean, friendly but older so don't be expecting fluff and glam, it's just a BBQ and Hot Pot place! We will definitely be back!“
“For the record, this place is not all you can eat. Price is definitely on the higher side of Korean BBQ. However, the food and the service you get are definitely worth the trip. The food is cooked by your server, and they will ask you how you want your meat cooked. The side dishes are delicious. My favorite is the sauce they give you for the BBQ. The only thing that may deter you from going to this restaurant is the long line during peak hours.“
